It seems like the best plan might be to simply Crab Rush the enemy. The crabs will most likely tear apart and scatter the weak mob types, and then have em try and crush the Svarogs. Heck merely fighting the crabs will most likely cause the Svarogs to risk dieing from stressing themselves too far.

And if any of the crabs die, the good news is we now have a heroic dinner sacrifice :V

Whattya guys think?

The crabs do seem to be the most numerous and expendable of the forces we have available to us. It only makes sense to use them as such. The only potential problem I see is the fact that any crabs that die here are crabs we can't use in future encounters, but I think that just means we'll need to prioritize finding more minions for Taylor once we're out of immediate danger.

TANK CRABS WAY STRONG!!!

Also, is it just me, or does anyone else think this might be Kraid?

I seem to recall he was the scientist of the major Space Pirate leaders, and also incredibly greedy when it came to stealing new technology to make his own versions of.

Or am I mistaken, and that's not a correct characterization?

The Svarogs will instakill every crab they get near. But you might want to read what the Svarogs are weak against.

I'll tell you right now you lack the garlic-butter for this. But they are delicious.

Electricity will cause there life support to either shut down or self destruct.

Hey guys... who do we know that can cast LIGHTNING BOLT?

[X] Plan LIGHTNING CRAB
-[X] Have Taylor use her crabs to beat up the mob of weaklings
--[X] Have Dauntless use his lightning bolt to hit the Svarogs to deactivate their life support before they can get close enough to us.

[X] Plan LIGHTNING CRAB 2.0
-[X] Have Taylor use her crabs to beat up the mob of weaklings
--[X]Shoot the Svarogs with charged Wave Beams.
It's very obvious what video games you have been playing.
EDIT:
Momentarily stunned by the fortuitous turn of events you almost miss the sounds of hundreds of chitinous limbs pulling themselves out of the water.

You don't miss the sounds of energy bolts tearing through the pirates ranks, and you turn to witness the cavalry arriving as Weaver whoops and yells over the comms.

"COME GET SOME YOU ALIEN FUCKS!"
if this doesn't restore Taylor's self-esteem, nothing will.

Dauntless's Arclance blew up.

I would direct your attention to the Wave Beam's charged shot.

Oh.

Woops I missed that.

Darn it and I felt so clever too.

Oh BTW, the FP doesn't have the Wave Beam Scan or the Thermal Visor Scan. (Or I'm missing them somehow under Weapons + Visors respectively).

@ImmortalsBlade, will the lack of detail on Lightning Crab 2.0, like Samus dodging to avoid getting tied down in the weaker enemies and the heroes staying behind the shield and plinking, be counted against us or will such things be considered implicit and inherent?

Does Dragon have any electricity based attacks? I like the idea of using Wave Beam, but I would also like to get some back-up so we can guarentee that the Flame Beasts (Svarogs) don't have a chance to get too close. Many add in a side-option to have Taylor reserve a few to maintain a potential breeding population in case of mass loss of crab life? Maybe have Militia ready to taser Svarogs through Missy's portals if Dragon doesn't have any electric attacks?

1D100 => 76 #<80 Pirate Militia 1 (10) attacks Samus!
1D100 => 66 #<80 Pirate Militia 2 (10) attacks Samus!
1D100 => 45 #<70 Zeta Pirates 1 (4) attacks Samus!
1D100 => 70 #<70 Zeta Pirates 2 (4) attacks Samus!
Zeta's only have 70 to hit...nice, I guess.
1D100 => 1 #<50 ATC 3 attacks Samus
GET REKED, PIRATE SCUM.

-A claw snap around an older boy, his body bursting apart in a shower of gore. People scream as bolts and explosions sing through the street, the lucky ones flying apart into chunks of flaming meat. The rest vanish into beak like mouths, still thrashing as the pirates devour them alive-

You snap out of it just in time for the claw to close around you,
Oh Samus...

It charges at you with claws outstretched, fully aware the charge shot alone couldn't kill it. And it doesn't, passing harmlessly through the Pirate. For a moment it pauses, blinking at its chest where the bolt went through it. It barely catches the energy bolts from your friends scything through its comrades from the hole that appeared in its defenses with the destruction of the shield generator before its torn apart.

That was funny.

Of course, you vaguely notice that quite a few of the heroes weren't firing directly to kill even with the lock on's they had, subconsciously avoiding being the one to deliver the killing blow. That'll need to be trained out when dealing with Pirates.
Everyone has their own hang-ups, Samus. XD

The other ATC's turns towards them, focusing more on keeping fire on breaking the shield rather than risking exposing their weakness towards you. A costly mistake, as you catch a wave of Vista's arms and space compressing as Brandish, Manpower, Velocity, Dauntless and Battery let loose missiles. They impact the Pirates heat vent as it tries to veer away, forgetting for a moment where its comrade was. The ATC crashes into the other and explodes, buckling the other's armor. One of its engines explodes, causing the it to veer wildly as jets fire to reorient the craft. But its all for naught as it jerks and splutters before it careens into the other building and explodes with devastating force, obliterating the pirates on the roof and collapsing the building.
"Goddamn it Barry, you had one job!"

Tank Crabs, maybe 200 of them, pour of the ocean and wash over the pirate forces like a tsunami of chitin and blue fire, some even climbing over the others to get at the pirates. Other were smashed apart in the crabs claws, green blood spraying everywhere. The militia's weapon fire bounced off the crabs durable shells, only serving to aggravate the massive beasts. In a moment you were surrounded, and you had to resist the urge to hug one of the crabs as the pirates dying screams reached your ears.
*somewhere far away*
Ridley: Okay, who said it?
Random Pirate: Said what, sir?
Ridley: It. The thing we shouldn't say around the bug girl.
Random Pirate: You mean meh we can-GACK!
Ridley: *Shakes the remains off his hand* Yes, that. Who said it?

"JUSTICE RAINS FROM ABO-oh, you guys won already. With Crabs." Dragons says blankly, and you swear you can hear her blinking in surprise.
It's ok Dragon. It went better than any of us expected.

You keep laughing, but now it was taking on a hysterical tone.
...Samus?

"Oh yes! They... hahaha... They wanted to grab me when Leviathan attacks here! Probably soon! Leviathan and all the Chozo artifacts they could ever desire! But whoever was the commander got greedy! Wanted me first even though taking Leviathan probably depends on me! That's why its just been nothing but the soldiers slaves!" You stop laughing, body shaking.

"They... they don't have any forces to throw at us, just slaves and robots they dragged along. But that would mean whatever is attacking us has to be almost out of troops... but we haven't encountered the commander yet!" Dragon suddenly yells.

"Yes, and pirate honor demands that this commanders misjudgment either be met with success or death trying! Probably has a ship somewhere, jamming everything! He's probably calling in every favor he can right now to fix his mistake!" You explain, trying to keep your voice even to stop you from yelling. Anger is simmering, boiling within you as it slowly dawns on you how many people have probably died in the city just because a pirate jumped the gun in trying to capture you.
So basically we were lucky(?) enough to get the most incompetent commander.

"It would appear so, but how many 'favors' can this commander call in-DAMNIT! Contacts approaching at supersonic speeds! They must be more ATC's!" Dragon suddenly yells out. "I'll intercept, you all stay put!"
Ughhhh..

Figures rise, hundreds of human sized ones interspersed with much larger forms. But most prominent were the horned giants interspersed amongst them.

Unearthly roars fill the air, before like a great wave they pour forward, charging straight at you and your makeshift army.

"Oh god, they were being mass-produced..." You hear Brandish whisper.
Oh come on!

I got nothing, other than the Svarogs are weak to Wave Beam.

Taylor needs to maintain easier access to alien bugs from now on. They might not be lightning, but I'd bet those fireworms could have had a decent showing against svarogs.

Speaking of the savrogs...

All these three types of monster look like they've been cloned from the same Parahuman. Who was it? One name leaps out, but I don't know if the timeline matches.

Characters won't act stupid if you don't account for them. Just assume a bit of autopilot.
Does Dragon have any electricity based attacks?
No.

Look, I'm lazy okay.

I wonder where the Villains, and Independent Capes are doing.

If they managed to clone Brutes, what are the results of the other types of capes?

I wonder what would happen if the Pirates managed to gain the Sting?

Mhhmm.. Who has electrical attacks.

Militia might have something in her repertoire of every human weapon armory. Some super lighting taser or something.

Samus and her charged beam apparently too, hope we got some sniper range.

Dragon quite possibly.

Armsmaster obviously, but he's a bit melee oriented.

Ok so overall the battle plan seems to remain
  • Hero's plink behind from shields if they can. Enemies are at a far range and no real reason to wait/let them get close if we don't have too.
  • So maybe instead head out, fighting retreat to shields if need be.
  • Shields don't stop enemies from walking in, it's just projectile blocking I believe, not person blocking. Walk in and shoot the heros is a tactic the enemies can use. Er well burn/melt them I guess.
  • Tell the heros that if they have any electrical attacks you have detected the fiery balrog looking things are vulnerable to it and to use it on them. This lets the heros who know more about their own powers and things they have been holding back using it if they have something to offer.
  • Weaver, keep on being you and kill everything with your tank crabs. Not worried about them dying so much. Weaver has good range, but she only grabbed what was nearby. There is no danger of killing them all and having no breeding pairs left. Remember there is still the beach pens, PRT Holding and the whole freaking bay. And ocean likely as well. It's more an issue that Earth is now infested with alien life, no fixing that.
  • Any reason we can't quickly summon our ship to do some PEW PEW PEW PEW assistance? Not really worried about civilians seeing it now after this WAR/ARMY thing is going on. Also we're in costume so yay!
One last note. Remember to vote for a plan. Don't copy the entire plan though in case it gets adjusted. That or vote for a player name and then you will go with whatever they choose.

I honestly don't think this will be an issue.

Haha. Ok point.

Maybe get a co-qm or something that lets them co-manage the thread to do the grunt work? Your beta or whatever.

It would be nice if they got updated though. *Cough*

Not me!
