And that's why I suggest voting by player name who made the plan and not copy/paste the plan yourself. I mean if you trust their plan, you trust them to make changes to. Helps to not get the vote all crazy divided.
Its usually a good idea, expect occasionally the plan maker will abandon their own plan for their preferred tactical vote should their plan not get enough traction. Personally I've done/seen this a few times, once I returned to my own plan and another time I voted for the other leading option that the plan maker had voted against.

All of the plans have merit but this one has a bit more, to me. Sorry for the confusion about this vote.

I've mentioned this before immortals but you'd have more combat votes if you provided some better base options.

Geez, now you're making me feel guilty.
It's more just a general disappointment you went with Trickshot over C.
Trickshot leverages the heroes camping in safety as much as it can... but when you get right down to it, it's still Samus, and then Mouse, out alone against a massive army. Plan C is more a well-coordinated breakout-assault. Weakpoints in the enemy formation/units are targeted, the Pirates are being hit from multiple angles, all while the Heroes are covering each other.

Its a question of offense vs. defense, and I think offense is what is needed here.

Options are mostly the same, except Plan C implies that fliers can go engage the enemy. That seems incredibly ill-advised; after all, to a space pirate, a flying soldier who is 1/100th the speed of Samus is basically skeet.

Hmm... I've been looking at the two 'Plan Trickshot' votes. (Also it's now retied lol)

They seem to be the same except for repeated lines in the second section and slightly different wording.

[] Plan Trickshot
[] Everyone but Samus (and maybe Mouse Protector) should stay behind the shield, and focus on providing whatever ranged support they can give
-[] Weaver summons everything within her range to throw at the Space Pirate forces, focusing on the Zeta Pirates, then the Militia. Samus points out their biological weaknesses so Weaver can target them.
-[] Have everyone with a Power Suit or armed with a Federation rifle fire Missiles in volleys, while Vista manipulates their path so they hit the most vulnerable areas, i.e. Behind the crawlshields, on the greatest concentrations of Militia, the ATCs weak points, etc.
-[] If the shield goes down, retreat back to the Arbalest's shield. The building would funnel the Pirate Militia that may try to swarm them.
[] Have Mouse Protector tag Samus
[] Samus's general strategy is to keep aggressively bouncing between enemy concentrations to avoid getting bogged down. Keep the enemy forces confused and in disarray.
-[] Prioritize taking out the Pirate ATCs ASAP.
--[] Once the ATCs and any fast-moving enemies are down, Samus needs to plow through the enemy lines into a safe distance, so Mouse Protector can teleport to her, sound the Endbringer alarm, and get the word out about the situation to the PRT and Protectorate.

And then repeats with new things in the other Trickshot, additional added on to what came earlier.
Seems to be a repeat of these lines. Repeat in green, deletion in red. New content orange.

[] Everyone but Samus (and maybe Mouse Protector) should stay behind the shield, and focus on providing whatever ranged support they can give

So yeah... That's it. Repeats itself twice, and then in the second repeat changes the last section on weapon priority a bit. shrug. Not sure if the vote is intended to be functionally the same, or if something got messed up with someone editing their vote, or it's the vote tally program getting confused with two votes that seem to share the same name? Maybe you need to edit out (delete) the original 'Plan Trickshot' out @defenestrator? Probably won't matter with later posts using it though. Ugh. Maybe next time a v2 should be used if changing/editing plan but not the original post.

So technically, depending on @ImmortalsBlade, it's really the same vote, both the trickshot ones. I prefer the v2 one labeled 'defenestrator' personally though.

Weird. I don't know the tally is somehow inflating the second newer version of the vote.

I don't know why the tally is showing them differently. Some of them are votes for plan name. *shrug*

@landcollector beware, the vote tally vote that you copied is not an actual vote anyone did for trickshot. The two 'versions' of it are.

Main differences highlighted in orange. shrug

@Kinematics Is this working as intended, this weird situation we have with the same plan with two different actions? And it somehow inflating one of the two on the normal vote tally output as shown above?

I'm assuming this would have been averted if the initial first instance of the plan was edited.?

On that note, are any the following willing to change from a plain trickshot vote to a specific copy/paste of v2 [in my previous post] , or a straight

Apologies for any annoyance in tagging you guys. Just want to let you know that parts of the original plan were unfeasible. To be specific: Mouse Protector calling for reinforcements. Immortalsblade has confirmed that the jamming covers the entire Brockton Bay area, and MP would need to get out of the city limits to get the word out, and the fight would probably be done by the time help arrives.

We should still do it. Help can still help if they get here later, and there are problems with exploding skyscrapers and whatnot.

@defenestrator Yes indeed, it looks much better. I was thinking it was an artifact of two different but very similar plans + having the same name was the issue.

-[X] If the shield goes down, retreat back to the Arbalest's shield. The building would funnel the Pirate Militia that may try to swarm them.
[X] Have Mouse Protector tag Samus
[X] Samus's general strategy is to keep aggressively bouncing between enemy concentrations to avoid getting bogged down. Keep the enemy forces confused and in disarray.
-[X] Prioritize taking out the Pirate ATCs ASAP.
--[X] Once the ATCs and any fast-moving enemies are down, Samus needs to plow through the enemy lines into a safe distance, so Mouse Protector can teleport to her, sound the Endbringer alarm, and get the word out about the situation to the PRT and Protectorate.

[X] Plan A
-[X] Samus rushes as fast as she can behind shield projectors to take them out one by one.
--[X] If able to have MP tag her armor so that she can port to Samus to provide backup when taking out targets and move back to the roof afterword so she isn't in the middle of enemies.
---[X] Samus should also try to take out the tanks as well in between traveling to various shield projectors.
-[X] Flyers should focus on enemy aircraft, inform them about it's front vent weakspot, keep moving to avoid being hit, and afterword provide support against rest of pirates.
-[X] Rest of heroes remain on roof till shield projectors are down then work together to fight off rest of pirate forces with a focus on tanks after they are no longer protected and if Samus has yet to take them out.
--[X] Encourage them to never fight pirates on their own and watch each others back.

[X] defenestrator

Is this fine?
Seems good!

I assume the reasoning goes something like this in my opinon:
  1. They are easy to target being in front of the shields
  2. Their name has the word 'Tank' in it
  3. Easy to destroy and move on
  4. Quite possibly they do more damage then the shots from the other enemies, leading to faster building shield collapse?
  5. Something for the others to do before the shields get taken down?
I assume since we only control Samus we can only advise the other folks, no guarantee they will follow our directions. Especially since they are Adults and we're just a socially addled child alien warrior. They forget the super alien warrior part methinks.

Either way hopefully our allies take out most of the easy crawler tanks before we get around to it ourselves. Other than that, likely @defenestrator can give you a better explanation on the whys of what he planned there. I would personally probably go shields then tanks.

Then again that is Samus's order of attack. Take out the ATC's first one of the largest threats. Then we take out the easy to hit, easy to kill lumbering crawl tanks while speeding around. Leaving the slightly harder to kill Shields (since we have to get behind them, and behind them it is crawling with militia and zeta troops) till afterward to get down an easy to destroy damage source hitting those shields. After that it seems shields is our next target and probably any... collateral... in the area as well. Militia we will probably kill by accident just with our sonic booms, the zeta will probably take a bit more work like the shadow troops. While we are doing all this our allies will be mowing down folks on their own possibly making parts of our list unneeded and speeding up our RIP & TEAR activities.

I wonder if we are still using thermals to perhaps catch if there are any more shadow troops trying to infiltrate and blow up the warehouse/building again.

Hmm... The only deficiency is we don't lay out more plans for the others. We're playing really defensive which I think is good. I don't want anyone dead/injured. Then again they aren't gonna be doing much except plinking away with guns/missiles. And holy hell do they have a lot of missiles as a group. 60*13 suits - a few used in the last battle. 780ish missiles capacity. Exact number is probably around 770ish. Really makes what you said about Federation vs Space Pirates into perspective IB. Still we did give some good info and Vista might make their power overwhelming too. It should go well.

Seriously, Samus never has that missiles to start though she might end up with more in the end. And Shields. Four Hundred points to our starting 99. Now 396 max I think (till more energy tanks anyways). And well Super Missiles. And Power Bombs. Weapon envy decreasing.

That and no strategy based on exploiting the map info we have, though I bet it's all going to go to shit after the next update anyways. WE should probably plan to carefully ration our resources, this might not be the end.

It's really too late to be switching votes anyways, we really can't be doing fluid vote changes with so many static votes (non-plan/name votes).

So question, why are the Crawltanks so high a priority? Just want to know your guys reasoning.
Well, for one the primary targets in my plan are the ATCs, and the tanks only come second. Mandabar's covered most of my reasoning, but to add to his list: I think the crawltanks would be focused on bringing down the shield, seeing as they seem to fill the role of siege artillery in this battle. And I doubt they can turn fast enough to even aim at Samus' general direction once she starts fucking shit up, so instead of wasting ammo on her, they'll just focus fire on the huge immobile target.
