Also our Hufflepuff ring might not activate without the other Chosen. I'm pretty sure it possibly holds lore insight from the Founders?

Edit: Regarding Dumbledore..

CURSE THE FIRST: Plot, Derailed.

A handful of achingly concerning or frankly disturbing factors will make themselves readily apparent to distract Ol' Albus from paying too much attention to his dear pupils, as he will be pressed to resolve the issues in question out of a simple sense of human decency and efficient problem-solving!

[X] Finding the Bearers

Seems sensible. Plus, Harry gets a dedicated support group who might be able to restore some of that sanity that just got tanked.

I've just thought and our priority should be protecting the director. Because if he's okay, then he can protect Hogwarts and us. Let's offer Dumbledore our help. We still wanted to become famous geniuses, so there's no point in hiding our astrology or runes. By cooperating with him directly, we will achieve much better results in his defense.
Then, when we decide to do alchemy, he will remember our help. And a little more likely to teach us.

[X] Offer Dumbledore your help. Tell him about your runic and astrological power. And that it was Harry who made this horoscope.

Weren't we meant to be meeting him regularly about the Potions ingredients task anyway?

The option to help Dumbledore seems to me the most productive one available at the moment.
Since winning the interfaculty competition will not give anything (helping Dumbledore can bring extra points). Finding favorites with horoscopes seems questionable because it's unclear if Harry can see it, and even if he can, it's like winning the lottery.
An astrological study of our own destiny will give only vague answers (we do not have a Trismegistus of Predictions) that ominous omens are waiting for us ahead, but we ourselves know about it.
And we don't need emotional rest, this is our main advantage of Hufflepuff, and in extreme cases Dumbledore, as a great alchemist, has a couple of potions.

Well, Harry was a bit of a whacko already, anyway. How bad can the mental even damage be, really? Nothing could go wrong!

I wonder if furthering his occlumens training might help with holding himself together.

This vote is only for 1 day we will have at least one more opportunity to look for the Heirs. And Dumbledore can look after him self just fine. I doubt us helping will be the difference between him living or dying. Even if something bad happens to him he won't be out of commission for long

If Harry remembers his dreams trying to do these tasks the fallout will be worse then it needs to be so given this choice is only for one day I think we should focuses on being safe

Also the name of the option is wired. Why would the rest option be called Dancing on the Graves. I'm guessing the name is a clue to something

"All Things Must Die wins. Its effects won't kick in immediately, at least until the end of the current major scenario."

WoG. That means we don't have to worry about tomorrow or possibly what transpires until after convocation.

Calming Draught

A Calming Draught was a potion that was used to calm a person down after they have suffered a shock, trauma, or emotional outburst.[1] Even if it worked fine in majority of the situations, sometimes it may have given a disastrous outcome, for instance, if animals like cats and dogs drank it.[3]...

We could just buy these from the fifth years, or steal them from Snape or the Hospital wing.

In my opinion, Harry's help is something that can avoid disaster. Who else besides him can make a detailed prediction in five minutes. Dumbledore can give Harry a list of all the important people in the magical world and get a detailed report on their astrological future. Thereby understanding the direction of danger.
Or he can ask Harry to fill the charge of the castle with the energy of the stars to keep it in constant readiness mode.
And if we don't help him, then no one has guaranteed that he will stay alive at all or will not fail for the next couple of years. Remember the case of the Dursleys.
The only thing that can go very wrong is that Harry will lie in bed all day because of the feelings that have come over him.
But this is a 10% risk, and we'd rather not rest for one day than cope with this year's challenge without one of the most powerful wizards. Perhaps this is our last chance to mitigate the catastrophe, we cannot dismiss it.

Since we are voting for a one-day action, I believe this is worth the shot. It has the potential of giving us useful information about what is happening in the Wizarding World beyond just knowing who the other heirs are. Maybe that leads to more clues about the convocation, maybe it doesn't and instead it helps our relationship with Dumbledore and allows him to live longer/have a positive impact on future events.

Although, I wonder if Neville's help is useful for that or if he could just rest or do something else.

Regarding our impending trauma.. Check this tidbit out.

Forgetfulness Potion

The Forgetfulness Potion was a potion which caused an unknown degree of memory loss in the drinker.[1] The recipe for this potion could be found in Magical Drafts and Potions; its key ingredients included Lethe River Water, mistletoe berries, and Valerian sprigs.[1][3] During the 1890–1891...

"During the 1986–1987 school year, Penny Haywood asked Jacob's sibling to brew the potion with her in secret, intending to drink it herself to erase a painful memory.

Since this potion was of beginner's level, Professor Severus Snape had his first-year students brew this potion for their final exam in 1992.

Second-year students studied this potion in the 2009–2010 school year."

If we're going to be brewing these anyway.. might as well put them to use? We can always write down the memory in question or tell them to Geist. Like we learned in Halloween Geist's memories are separate from us and he'll never forget. This way we can use the lore we learned second hand and continue the previous forgetting arrangement, after a fashion.

Downsides.. the potion will wear off so we will have to keep brewing them. Maybe have an active summoned demon standby to brew them daily/weekly and another to keep procuring the ingredients. Lethe river water drops for example.

HP quests and fics rarely have potion shenanigans.. This could be an interesting way to handle things.

Answers from Discord about dark magic, mental health and gnosis.

Do we know any ways from dark magic to cope with mental trauma?

Birdsie
You can absorb other people's sanity.
But it's somewhat inefficient.
For every three points of sanity they lose, you gain only one.
Also you have to kidnap them for this to work.

Cool what do you need to do for this?

Birdsie
So they don't resist.

Do they have to be unconscious or do they have to do it voluntarily?

Birdsie
The former.
Dark Arts don't ask for consent.

Birdsie And what does mental stability mean in general. What are the advantages and disadvantages of high and low scores?

Birdsie
If you go too low, you'll become deranged
It's your mental stability
I really shouldn't have to explain this

After we lose our mental points due to new memories. Can we start stealing gnosis?

Birdsie
You'll be deranged, not immoral
Or, for that matter, inefficient

Stolen Gnosis coefficient or Harry's condition after injury?

Birdsie
Stolen Gnosis

_____________
Batman's Justice plan.
The goal: To steal three points of psychological points from Muggle criminals using the invisibility cloak.
Methods of achievement: The Invisibility Cloak, Dark Arts.
Duration of the plan: Short duration.
Ability to execute the plan: Full.

Well, now we know where all the deranged costumed criminals came from.

So according to the discord the death of the Dursleys had us lose 2 points of Mental Stability but we healed half that given the fact that All Things Must Die had us lose 3 points of Mental Stability that would mean we are at -4 points of Mental Stability right now. That is twice as unstable immediately after our entire family got killed in front of us, so yeah we need professional therapy now
