[X] Snivellus Sux - Paint the obnoxious mantra, 'Snivellus Snape Sucks' all over the dungeon walls. Make sure to hide some of them in creative places, so people will keep finding the writing for weeks to come.
[X] Neville and Malfoy - As above, but also with Malfoy for dirty work (and being a scapegoat if you're detected.)

Feel like the write ins are too complex and narrow down the suspects too much.

Meanwhile his first name is funny, public information and there's nothing he can do once people know, except maybe change it I guess. Which would also be funny.

You can make these labels appear and disappear, and also be able to move around while no one is looking at them. Then it will be almost impossible to get rid of them if we are talking about dungeons.

I mean something where we enchant the potions classroom so that every student sees Snape as something they find funny similar to beating a boggart would be cool as it would be hard for him to notice because it wouldn't effect him and it would lessen the fear students feel towards him, hard to be scared of him if he's in a pink tutu.

But something like that seems like it would be too hard to do at this point.

Unfortunately, any effect of this kind will not last long. Because it is enough for him to look into the eyes of a student to understand what is happening. Therefore, it is necessary to make a fool of him as publicly as possible when it is too late to take countermeasures.

Why aren't you guys interested in coming up with original pranks? I think that a write-in would go a long way here, maybe even as a learning opportunity.
Custom write ins do not work well with vote systems, especially when people have already locked in so many votes.

Distribute amulets to all students that will notify of Snape's approach and heat up when he tries to read thoughts.
Our movement will be called DST.
Down with Snape's terror.

Stuff that boils down to bullying Snape is just going to reinforce his bad attitude. All the bullying he received as a child is what made him into the misanthrope he is today.

If he catches Harry or finds out about the involvement of looters, he will undoubtedly worsen relations with Harry, Sirius and Pettigrew.
But if some prank was able to dramatically worsen his character. In a school full of young wizards, Snape would have turned into the magical equivalent of the Hulk.

I'm sorry, I don't follow the point you're trying to make. This doesn't seem to follow from what I wrote.

I mean, one prank can't ruin Snape's character. Considering how many years he's been teaching at a school full of young wizards.
Change happens in small steps. If you're expecting Snape to suddenly totally change his personality then of course that's not going to happen. But cracking open the door slightly? That's not so impossible that it's not worth even trying.

It's probably true.
But it's honestly hard for me to imagine what we can do to fulfill the relationship with Snape.
I think it would be possible if Harry was modest and one of the specialties was potions. Then it would be possible to slowly overcome the dislike and become his personal disciple.

Oh, I see the confusion. You've mistaken my objective.

I'm not trying to build a relationship with Snape. I'm trying to create a situation that forces him to confront his own inadequacies as a teacher. To hold up a mirror and force him to look at it, so that he finds he does not like what he sees. Because that's the first step to him finding his way to becoming a decent human being, or at least one who does his job and doesn't abuse his students.

This is a rather complicated goal, and it takes a lot of time to implement it. Because Snape has no doubts about his path, and one push would not be enough for him to start the changes.
And to be honest, even if we do our best, it's unlikely to give a great result because of Snape's character. He is intolerant of mistakes, does not like his work, does not believe in his students. So the best option for him would be to leave to work in a different direction and not torment himself and his students.

Look, you're overthinking it. We have to prank Snape. Let's make it a prank that might possibly, however low the chance, start him on a path to becoming a better person instead of just bullying him and thereby cementing his misbehaviors.

Preying on his perfectionism. Exposing his specific flaws as a teacher to him in a way that is very hard to ignore has a shot at making him correct them out of pride. That's the essence of the plan.
But none of the participants in the conspiracy knows how to teach potions. There may be a situation when comments become unfounded, and this will kill the entire educational effect.

The professors have been through the whole potions education. Between them I'm confident they know enough to point out much of the basic stuff that Snape should go over but doesn't. The enchantment doesn't have to be comprehensive to get the point across, it just has to make valid observations. They also know how to teach, in a way that Snape doesn't or doesn't bother to. Stuff like 'don't yell at your students when they mess something up because you didn't tell them how to do it properly' is easy enough.

There's also another angle; the write in I'm suggesting takes advantage of magical photograph/painting technology to capture a bit of Snape's personality. The magic might be able to take advantage of his own knowledge to lambast him for his inadequacies.

To capture in the picture the best side of Snape and the unconscious understanding of his own mistakes.
Then it is necessary that the painting be in a secluded place. For Snape to go through a kind of confession to himself in solitude and reflection. To do this, you can print the front door in the room with the picture.
