We got all the time in the world to learn astrology. The best things we can do is to make sure communication is seamless between us and that way no miscommunication can arise.
Also totally admit I was wrong this is worth it.

Do we even know whether or not we're doing something along the lines of compelling Demons by surrender oaths or something like it's Exalted?
We don't even have the excuse that Malfeas sucks and Demons enjoy a chance to not be there.
Attempting to get to know Ornias rings hollow if that's the case, we've committed a heinous offense against him just by summoning him. Of course the extent to which this matters with Lord of Hufflepuff from the perspective of moral standing is an open question.
If Ornias is closer to an AI with a specific service to humans oriented Utility function that's a separate story.
Let's save the writein buddy stuff for after we find him better accommodations.
