Mab isn't a good person by many reasonable metrics, but she is an important one with genuinely trying to do an important job. She personally took the power of the people who mythologically speaking killed Balor himself in the first place.

Hades is powerful, but his job has "only" ever been to look after the souls of the ancient Greeks. Important? Yes. But on every practical level Winter is filling a more critical role and he hasn't eaten a lion's share of a pantheon lately.
Uh it's kinda noted hades is somewhat comparable to mab in power. Also none of this contradicts what I said just cause they can't use the power in the mortal world doesn't mean they don't still exist. The mother is stronger than mab and butcher compared them more to figures like Zeus in scale that doesn't lend towards figures like Zeus being weak. This would mean Zeus is stronger than mab. Let alone thinking of all the other pantheons and spirits and shit in the nevernever. Dragons by butcher have been stated to be able to destroy the universe they're in but don't cause it's a horrible fucking idea and they need it to live.

Though I'm tired and honestly this conversations not really relevant for the quest in any way or something I'm all too invested in. So I just thought before I go to bed or whatever I should just say ehh let's move on. And in the interest of something else should we gamble while in Vegas and should we abuse the crown to do so? :p

I know what you mean. All sorts of vague statements that are extrapolated wildly to determine power levels as if the idea of power levels isn't bullshit.

Mab can start an ice age? Without details on how she could do it the statement is meaningless.

Molly could destroy all the human cities in the world. Just fly into space and keep dropping heavy objects into the gravity well. That doesn't say all that much about her overall capabilities and is dumb for all sorts of reasons. But the true Statement Molly could destroy all the human cities in the world does sound impressive.

I agree, but at least he's raking in a lot of xp. He's in a far better place than he was in canon in terms of knowledge, power and position right now.
We're exposing him to enough stuff that he's becoming a better wizard just as a side effect of trying to be aware of what's going on.

I wonder if he's figured out how to make use of the discoveries he saw when Tiffany was getting her body.

It was stone and gold and wheels of brass and it was a body at the same time, like Molly had written: "2+2=5" on some cosmic blackboard and made it true, logical inconsistencies be damned. Like a funhouse mirror the more I looked the more I saw, like losing myself in its depths, vessel and sanctuary, idol and eidolon.

Who says the blackboard is 2D?

The Sight being what it was as soon as the thought had entered my head I cranked my metaphorical neck and I could kind of see it, the other side on which the missing 'numbers' had been written. It was like trying to read an IKEA manual though a snowglobe when you also had the sneaking suspicion that it was all in Chinese anyway. But now that I knew that space was there I could... Well truth be told I was not sure what I could do with it, but I'm a wizard, figuring stuff like that stuff is half of my job.

So we are bringing Harry "Why is everything on fire" Dresden along with a semi redeemed fallen Angel, who is trying to Seduce Harry with Molly standing right there and succeeding, to Vegas.

Well, the problem just solved itself.

Arc 11 Post 38: Four for the Road
Four for the Road

12th of January 2007 A.D.

Harry is the first to break the silence: "Maybe there'll be work for a Starborn keeping the thing under Death Valley sleeping. I hope not," he adds fervently, the fervour soon turned to something else, no less sincere, but darker. "Either way I'll behaving words with Sandra Marling about her part on Splattercon."

"I'll try to leave her unsplattered for you, no promises though," you answer, knowing your own expression is likely just as grim

For her part Tiffany looks between you with those far-seeing eyes and tsks. "I'd better come along then to give talking a chance with those that can be reasoned with."

"Hey, I talk to people!" you protest as on the screen Dorothy is just about to melt the Wicked Witch. "I made a deal with Winter, with Summer, with the Archive and with Monoc."

"True true, but this time and place sometimes requires a less imperious touch—" she glances at Harry and adds— "A less incandescent one as well."

Lydia pays no mind to the byplay, her pale face set in sombre lines, eyes half-lidded in thought. It's almost enough to make one forget she's barely old enough to drive. "I'll come too, where there are servants of the Old Ones there is killing and the defilement of the dead. Besides I would learn more of these cults who claim to worship the gods of the Black Earth Land." The last words are clearly translated from some other tongue. She hesitates a moment. "My mother was of that land and that people. I hope to learn more of both in going."

How much had Arwan told his daughter about her mysterious mother, you wonder. Lydia does not talk about her normally.

Alas the next hour or so after you part from the others it is another mother that is at the forefront of your thoughts, your own.

"You are going to Vegas? You are going to Vegas with a sixteen year old girl, an incarnation of a Fallen Angel and Harry Dresden?" her tone does not rise as she speaks, it falls to a dangerous near whisper.

Another time, a younger and more foolish Molly Carpenter might have pointed out that she implied Harry was somehow a worse influence than Tiffany, but you've been through this before. Her heart's not in it... no, better to say her heart is in it and her head is not, she knows you are gathering power, experience, sword and shield against the foe.

She just wants reassurance that you won't do anything too dangerous and so that's what you give her, perhaps a lie, hopefully not.

On the next day a Friday after school everyone is ready to make the journey, not by plane, not even by the Ways, but into Sanctuary and hence out once you had tread the path of many rivers into the Colorado, technically down the Grand Canyon, not that you see it and into Lake Mead. Not how I expected to see Hoover Dam either, you think with mind of water. As for your destination it is far less grand, the Las Vegas Wash, what is politely referred to an an 'urban river' fed by urban runoff, shallow ground water, reclaimed water used on parks and golf courses, and stormwater. One could ride it all the way to the sewage treatment plant, but character aside, you do not think Sanndra would be there.

Having infiltrated the Las Vegas sewage system where do you come out to open the path back to Sanctuary so that the others may join you?

[] Henderson, stretching out to the southeast, attempting since the 1950s to be everything that the rest of Vegas is not—a place built on good civic values that boasts a much more diverse economy and support for local arts and culture.

[] Las Vegas proper, the governmental seat for the region and containing older casinos that most people remember affectionately from mobster movies

[] North Las Vegas puttering along quietly, composed of industrial parks and housing developments that now stand empty, its fate connected to that of Nellis Air Force Base.

[] Paradise, a place poorly named for the most part it is the Vegas of most people's dreams and imagination, home of the Strip, clubs and casinos aplenty some of which deal in more than coin.

OOC: If you guys want to get specific you can wrote in what kind of water basin you want to come out into.

See. I am not the only one who thinks so.

I wonder, could we parody an exaltation?

To be clear, I don't mean anything like the power or significance of one, just a loose sketch of the form.

We can use an arcana as the basis for transformation in the peach tree build, but what about something more personal? Look at the form of primal nature:
So, this actually gave me an idea.

Raid Siriothrax's hoard and body. Use that as a basis of a Fascination. I'll assume that a two decades old corpse of an Elemental Dragon is worth at least as much as a fresh corpse of a raksha god monster. The elemental nature is obviously air, and I'll use "convert points at 2:1 ratio into freebie points, rounded down" feature @uju32 introduced that seemed to be mostly approved.

The Splendor takes the form of something that is graceful, or cold, or crackles with electricity, or is marked with decorations evocative of winds and clouds. It might be made of ice. This Element defines the Splendor's physical form and gives it a character, and that character is aligned with the elemental power of air. Other Elements may draw upon this fact.
The Splendor cannot be harmed by wind, cold, or electricity. As an Adornment, increases its user's basic movement speed, before any multiplication by Charms or other powers, by (Splendor's rating) yards per turn. As the basis for a Fascination, it may generate the creator's choice of: clear skies; specific constant (nonviolent) behavior of the wind (blowing north to south at a brisk but not dangerous speed, for example); or specific whimsical behaviors of the wind (whisking away people's hats, bookmark, or other loose items and depositing them next to the Splendor, for example).
The Splendor takes the form of something that is primitive, crude, bestial, or a beast. Items tend to be natural objects like rocks and branches, or are crudely-worked, or are decorated with beast-motifs. More often, the Splendor is literally a living animal. This Element defines the Splendor's physical form and gives it a character, and that character is aligned with the feral, primitive, and bestial. Other Elements may draw upon this fact.
While animal-form Splendors are never hostile to their owner, they do not obey that individual as a servant. Instead they will follow their normal instincts and habits, or else act according to some particular pattern of behavior established when the Splendor is designed. If the Splendor is an Adornment, it may be designed so that its blessings benefit the animal rather than the Exalt. Taking a second characteristic Form makes it possible for an Adornment to take the shape of both a beast and an item used by its owner, and to give its benefits to both of them.
The Splendor causes a transformation in accordance with its character, as defined by Form Elements such as Form of Graceful Air. The nature of the transformation depends on the Form or Forms in play, but might include transformation into things like a sparrow (air), pig (earth), a living flame (fire), a fish (water), a stag (wood), a walking corpse (death), a semitranslucent spirit (spirit), or a fantastic beast such as a sphinx (dreams). These are meant to be examples, and not an all-inclusive list.
As an Adornment, this Splendor requires a point of Willpower and a turn spent in transformation to either assume the characteristic form or return to the user's native form.
As part of a Fascination the maximum duration of the transformation (assuming it isn't cut short earlier by fulfilling some criteria built into the Splendor) is one day for a 1-2 dot Splendor, one week for a 3-dot Splendor, one month for a 4-dot Splendor, and one year for a 5-dot Splendor.
The Splendor is loathe to relinquish its hold on those it claims. Select one Element of the Splendor whose effects last for a limited time. That Element's maximum duration is increased by one category (from one scene to one day, one day to one week, etc). If the duration is already "one year," the Element can be rendered permanent.
One of the Splendor's snares or benefits is particularly wicked or potent. Modify one roll associated with the Splendor by increasing or decreasing its difficulty by two, or modify one value associated with activating or resisting its effects (such as the number of points of Willpower that must be spent to shake off a Beautiful Lie) by two.
The Splendor is shrouded in a psychic ward that makes it unthinkable to even consider harming it in any way. Anyone attempting to do so must succeed at a Willpower roll against difficulty (4 + Splendor's rating) and then spend a Willpower point on each turn in which they attempt to do harm to the Splendor.

Reforged through the Exalted arts that, in the time before Creation gave form and life to the greatest of its ancestors, and entrusted to the care of the wisest of mortals its creator could find, Young Elemental Dragon of Air is a powerful beast even in what is, for all intents and purposes, its infancy. Imbued with innate wisdom, compassion and intelligence, it is both a guardian and a treasure to be guarded - a great ally to the shih in their quest against darkness. Beyond the wisdom, physical and mystical might it can bring to bear, the greatest of the treasures it can give is its lifeblood. When freely given to those it deems worthy of respect, it can induce a miraculous transformation in their bodies and spirits, igniting a spark of life rarely seen in many an Age. These newly awoken Dragonblooded become the guardians, warriors and sages without mortal peer.

The dragon is capable of taking on a human form, following the same template as the transformation it is capable of granting.

Clones are, for most intents, mortals, although they're immune to the Delirium (see W20). They can only soak bashing damage. A clone may be either a genetic replica of a single person, or a hybrid of the features of multiple tissue donors — essentially a "child" of the donors, created in a clone tank.

Superior Mind X2
Superior Poise
If the Arcana is capable of natural healing, then it now heals at the same rate as Exalted do.
The Arcana's body is made of tougher stuff than others of its kind. If the Arcana could normally only soak bashing damage, it can now also soak lethal damage. If the Arcana could normally soak lethal damage, it can now also soak aggravated damage at difficulty 8.
The Arcana's body is made primarily out of materials strongly resonant with the element of air. It is much lighter than its frame would otherwise suggest. It is immune to damage from electricity, it cannot be moved against its will by powerful winds, and it is immune to falling damage, slowing in a gust of air just before landing. All Arcana constructed by Dragon-Blooded must take one Elemental Frame quality.
Perhaps the Arcana has inhuman legs. Perhaps it is a dozen torsos stitched together and speeding along on a dozen sets of arms. Perhaps it is propelled by an elemental wind. Whatever the case, its movement speed and is doubled, or tripled if this Feature is taken twice.
The years seem to pass you by. Time moves on, but you
remain essentially the same physical age as you were when this
Merit stopped your aging process. Maybe you discovered the
Fountain of Youth, upgraded yourself to perpetual stability,
assumed an odd relationship with the time stream, or entered
an uncanny bargain that preserved your current age. And so,
although you continue to accumulate the scars, experience,
and perspective of age, your body maintains a consistent state
of chronological development. Note that this is not the same
thing as immortality – injuries and sickness can kill you just as
surely as they'll kill any other person. Age-based decrepitude,
however, is not something you'll have to worry about.
Blessed with great vitality, you heal injuries with heroic speed and ease. Your own injuries from lethal damage heal as if they were bashing damage (see the Healing Damage chart in Mage 20, p. 406), and aggravated damage heals as if it were one level higher than it is. (Wounded-level damage, for instance, would heal at the Injured-level rate.) Bashing damage, regardless of its extent, heals within an hour.
If you're trying to heal someone else, you subtract -2 from the difficulty of the roll, even if that roll involves casting a Life Sphere healing Effect. (The usual +3 maximum modifier and minimum difficulty of 3 still apply – see Mage 20, p. 503.) As long as you remain in physical touch with the injured party, that character uses your healing
rate as her own. Your touch also soothes minor pains – muscle spasms, headaches, and so forth – within a minute or two.
Beyond its healing powers, this rush of life-energy simply feels good, too. Your aura shines with bright vitality, and your Resonance reflects your strong connection to the primal life-force. On the inevitable downside, vampires find your blood delicious – twice as potent as normal human vitae (worth double the usual blood points, for players of Vampire: The Masquerade) – and unspeakably refreshing.
Those blessed by the friendship and approval of the Young Elemental Dragon of Air are given a drop of its divine blood, imbued with the mighty elemental forces not seen in the world for many an age. After they consume this precious gift, mixing their mortal blood with the blood of the one who might, at some point in the future, become an embodiment of the elemental nature of Air itself, a miraculous transformation not seen for longer than linear time existed in its current form, takes place, reminiscent of another one, much greater still. The shackless of mortality are torn apart, and the once-mortal is reborn, greater than they ever could hope to be. Their body is reconstructed, taken to the very peaks of what a human can be, and, in some ways, even beyond that. Inhuman grace fills their movements, swifter than they ever were. A gentle hum of elemental might sings in their veins. They are faster, stronger, and tougher than they were. In the decades and centuries to come they'll discover that age itself has no more hold on them, and that with proper training it is not just their bodies, but their minds that can be sharpened to superhuman sharpness.

So, if we don't have dragonblooded, let's make dragonblooded. Well, a cheap knock-off, really, but still. The parts that need approval from @DragonParadox are mystic fortification to push the transformation to 5 dots, and spending ability points as freebie ones at 2:1 conversion ratio. Oh, and the "make a splendor dragon" thing itself. I mean, there's a canon example of a sphinx fascination, so I think this has merit.

This way we reward shih greatly, and not fall into "the gift is too big to be defended". Because the gift will defend itself.

I'm not seeing anything that would break things mechanically or fluff wise so sure, you can make knock off Dragonblooded. I will note that some people might have strong opinions of making dragons... generally the dragons.

That is probably fine, Ferrovax would definitely consider that below his attention and every other dragon would have to enter reality and risk being murked by any amount of Warlocks, Wizards, Swords, Particularly ambitious Reds, Fey or sorcerers, Really hungry Jades and finally us To get at the hypothetical Young Air Dragon. No way that they could hide their entrance and their pride wouldn't let them even if they could.

I mean, given the method (exalted / primordial crafting charms), could you even call this dragon a knock-off? If anything, we are making them a favor by repopulating the species a bit. Anyway, great to hear this is approved. Qiao users with this trait would be a far, far greater threat to forces of evil than normal.

Oh, and

Although it has other uses being a walmart Imp power from Worm, I dimly recall us geting the anon charm so we can enter Vegas undetected but after showing up without it on and opening a Gate to the FC I expect people to know something big just showed up. Lash may also register loudly on people's radar too.

Technically you have not shown up without it yet, you could write the thing in right now.
