Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

Whoops, forgot to vote.

[X] Wait for Harry to contact his old master than talk to him, maybe you can work this out

I do not think we have ever seen Thomas being warded away with hope or courage unlike the Skavis so I don't think so.
That's fair. I vaguely remembered a scene where one of those guys taunted Thomas about trying fear because it tasted better, but I could be wrong on the details. Or it could have just been a jab meant to imply his family were better vampires that I misinterpreted I guess.

I think they can change over, but it is probably a complex and/or harrowing process or else Thomas would change over so he can be with Justine. We know less than mortal terror works, his cousin Madrigal Raith uses his own horror movies.... of which Moly is a fan BTW.

The other alternative is that if you pick up a second mode of feeding you gain its weakness, but do not lose the old one.

It's a gamble, but I think it's one we have to risk.

Oh, so Cappadocians instead of Nosferatu. Makes sense.
I think more Samedi than Cappa.

But with a healthy dose of all Bruha Disciplines right from the start.
Hey now Capadocious was an idiot and of course evil, but they had what was possibily the only vampire capable of True Faith among their numbers.

Though I guess other vampires would consider that cosmically wrong. :V
There's another one with True Faith.

Ferox is a pretty insane Gargyle who made it big on the Cammy's shitlist by murdering a lot of Vampires and also by being a rebelling Gargyle, which the Tremere have an inherent problem with.

Edit: The Wiki says that Sabat-Cardinal Moncada also has it, but that seems a bit far on the weird side, the guy is pure monster from my memory.
And he never used it when his childe and her girlfriend tag-teamed and killed him in the clan-novels.

If we were a normal infernal we'd probably see it go "holy shit that was awesome" revive the dead person then ask "do it again" or we'd hire him to make horror movies that take place in our hell, the hell being a death world.

I think he is one of those who goes 'Holy Devil', that is he thinks of himself as the perfect monster and the scourge of God on mankind. There is a path in Kindred of the East that does that as well, the Devil Tigers.

That sounds vaguely like what I remember, though I believe he also considers himself a sinner for various reasons.

He's one weird dude, and if he weren't an ancient monster with vast personal and political power he would come over as pretty pathetic.
Unfortunatly he has those things, making his death at the hands of his daughter one of the more cathartic moments of the whole series.

Oh he manages to be pathetic even with all his power from what I recall, maybe even in part because of it.

@DragonParadox i asked about whether someone escaping from our hell would create wan-Kuei as a new type of vampire as far as DF is concerned and someone mentioned that they might get tied into the jade court and I was wondering what your take would be

Molly does not know, though that is certainly something you can try to look into. First you will have to grill your head friend on what the Thousand Hells even are though.

I wouldn't worry about it, we are far away from making our own Hell and it's not that likely we meet asian undead while Chicago is facing more trouble in the near future we have to deal with first.

[X] Go to the Council now

Back to more relevant Vampires, our demon sounded like a relationship with one of the Whites is not out of the question.

I wonder if we would have to protect ourself with some specific charm to prevent lifesteal, or just raise our health via tricks like Ox-Body to outlast the leech?

Honestly I doubt a white court vampire could even drain a single mote nevermind enough to incapacitate us. This is me assuming they drink energy via certain emotions.
Okay, if they drink the kind of energy that has been replaced with Essence for us, they would propably choke on us, or burn up in radioactive hellfire.

But if they deal with some sort of more earthly life-force, then we are not much more vital than a human. Physically speaking.

Your life force is already considerably greater than a mortal's. The greater issue at least according to Usum is that vampires may not be able to safely take in the touch of the Hells.

I imagine the two energies are the same thing, and HLs is more bodily integrity

Abyssal Exalts drinking your blood was also a way for them to harvest Essence in areas, like Creation, where they couldnt respire Essence. I imagine it did damage because its still biting your neck open and drinking your blood.

All things are Essence at their base anyway, even "mundane" matter, just in different configurations.

Okay, I wasn't sure what kind of drain the Vamps apply, we don't actually have more health-levels than mortals after all and if the vampiric drain were something like the flat bloodpoint/damage-level applied by WoD Vamps we would die from a draining as quickly as a mortal, though we would heal much faster if we survive of course.

But if they drain a more spiritual Essence, then burning their throat is the most natural result.
