Well when comes to cursing people in new and interesting ways Infernals beat even Solars. We could easily get him fired or even make it so nobody remembers he ever existed.
Rudolf is someone's catspaw.
We know the Red Court had leverage on him by Changes, and that he managed to falsify enough information to make the FBI raid Dresden's home. And he got away with it.
Regardless, he falls under the Tao of Gandalf: Dont be in a hurry to destroy people. And I dont think it would be good for Molly.
Besides, a known enemy catspaw is easier to predict, monitor and work around. If you eliminate them, the enemy will find a replacement who you will then need to locate all over again.
Just sic the cyberdevils to watch his financials and electronic communications, as well as any cameras in his home's vicinity.
I would rather avoid them entirely, but if they're here to stay there might as well be someone who can interface with them directly as needed.
I'm not suggesting Murphy should sign up and try to become a Daedalus agent, of course, but rather that if she is able to get her job back as head of SI, she would be optimally placed to pass information to them, benefit from whatever information they may able to share, and maybe even mooch of their resources where possible.
EDIT: Also, as a muggle, Murphy is more likely to gain a greater degree of trust from the feds.
Murphy comes from a multigenerational cop family.
Her father was a Chicago PD captain before he committed suicide, and its implied her two brothers are cops or cop-adjacent.
Her second ex-husband, who is now her current brother in law(dude married her younger sister), is an FBI agent, criminal division.
She knows people in the hierarchy of Chicago-area law enforcement, both local and federal, and they know her.
The way these people are talking about her suggests they dont even talk to their own fellow FBI agents in Criminal Division.
Its worth remembering that in Changes, she was on first name terms with Tilly, the special agent who raided Dresden's home.
And dude still didnt actually believe that vampires were a thing when they were literally invading the Chicago FBi building.
He thought they were cartel hitmen.
I don't see how they expect to ever get any sort of reliable, timely information from any sort of supernatural faction or community if they aren't able to interact with someone who has some sort of ties to that community or faction.
As a career law enforcement officer who has been involved with many incidents of supernatural crime and knows members of the community, Murphy is well placed to be that sort of contact.
There are no potential alternatives who would not be considered collaborators or accomplices of the White Council simply because the WC has been the governing body for magic using Humans since well before Europe started colonizing North America. Any gifted Human living in the USA is by default under the authority of the WC, whether they like it or not. If Daedalus wants alternative options, they're going to need to work with a Fey or Vampire Court, the minions of a deity like Monoc Security, or something even worse from their POV.
You might consider that might be the point.
Consider the real life war on drugs, and how the very real problem was used as an excuse to prosecute political goals.

Looking at the reports, definitely formed top down with budget and preset agenda, and only recently.
Their best intel is basically Harry's pamphlets, which plays up the scare factor, so that people don't seek out conditionally safe supernaturals(i.e. Benign fae being dangerous if you start incurring debts and favors, or the various beings that'd be perfectly safe if only you were familiar with certain archaic forms of etiquette). That says a lot about how long they've been operating(i.e. not long at all).
The reframing of everything into 'safe' science words also means disconnection from communities that use magical terminology...which isn't a surprise, considering the rest sounds like they recruited from STEM and military backgrounds.
This isn't a "we have a problem, so we gathered everyone with a clue" organization. This is a "we already know what we want to find out, so go find it." sockpuppet group.
Someone set up the Daedalus Group inside the FBI.
Despite the Library of Congress' Special Collections Division already existing and being clued in for decades.
There's an agenda in play, and we dont know what.
But I find it very instructive that the Librarians seem to be doing their best to keep any magical talents the Daedalus people get out of the field.
The completely obvious solution to Murphy's career problems is to awaken her as a mage, and lobby with White Council to make her the Warden Commander of the greater Chicago area. Dresden is not suited for the job, and it allows Murphy to pursue criminals and fight evil.
EDIT: And it also solves (or, rather, increases) the tension she has with Dresden.
Awakening =/= trained wizard.
Dresden had almost ten years of training before he was considered minimally competent to operate as an adult; 10-16 years with DuMorne, and 16-19 years with McCoy. Molly became his apprentice at 17, and she was still an apprentice five years later when he died in Changes, at which point the Leanansidhe took over for around a year before she became Winter Lady.
So. Minimum five years training, closer to ten.
Then a couple decades of experience in magic law enforcement; Dresden already had already killed the previous Summer Lady by the time he was made regional Warden Commander, and it still took the decimation of the Wardens to make them recruit him.
And that assumes she awakens with the skills to be a seriousface combat wizard.
