Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

BMI cannot do this:

The Infernal spends 1 Essence, spends a moment concentrating, and dons a perfect illusion which causes her to appear to be someone else. It is an illusion not shapeshifting.
Hmm, ok. Fair enough.

[X] Plan Stop Hitting Yourself
-[X] Apply ATP
-[X] Take the appearance of Arianna Ortega using BMI

-[X] Use flight to bypass the wards (Small risk of later exposure)

Sure, they can try to enforce Masquerade against the dead daughter of Red King. Or Broken Seeker, I guess. Speaking of, an idea - we can take the appearance of a fictitious individual, that's in the rules. So, what happens if we choose to look like H.G. Wells's Invisible Man? They are an established literary character whose sole and main feature is that they are invisible.

That works though it should be noted that's 3 essence used. It would put you one mote off flaring which means you can use an excellency to persuade your target, but then you are out unless you want to send burning eyes everywhere

Ok, that's a good point. Do we know if the building has a separate sewer system / water supply system? Because "go to the closest public restroom, transport yourself through RVD (with ATP applied)" should also work otherwise. We even did that before.

You can try that, though Martin did warn you that the Red Court are starting to get wise to the fact that mater isn't safe so there is no an suite bathroom, you would probably have to cross some wardlines.

How high up is his balcony?

Could we get a length of flexible transparent plastic capillary tubing and throw it up like a rope.it would only be a few millimetres across and we could pump water into it easily and quickly and then teleport along its length.

... Could we get to the rooftop with RVD? Via air conditioning system probably or something like that?

If we can, we could then use this:

But from the roof. Take a thin transparent tubing, drop it from the roof, or just fly down from the roof.

The way ATP works we should be immune to camera observation in the moment too, the risk would be someone who gets lucky or knows how our power works reviewing the video later and seeing our presence.

If we really want to sell it and we can get to the roof we could do the following:

1) Buy a shit cell phone. No cyber Devil so that it looks mundane to the wards.
2) ATP + RVD in and slip to the roof.
3) Spend 1 essence on BMI to look like a maintenance worker and 1 temp will on TTC for a window washer's platform.
4) Ride the platform down to his open window and toss the cellphone into the target's lap
5) Spend most of the rest of the scene pretending to wash the windows above the office while actually talking on the phone via our low profile headset. That way we're nearby if the target gets caught but everything looks normal.
6) If they agree to work for us we apply FSB. The charm doesn't actually say we have to touch the target, just make an offer and have it accepted.
7) As the scene is about to end we ride up to the roof, "put away" our equipment, and leave by flight or the way we came.

That costs us 2 essence to set up, and we can always leave early to continue the call elsewhere if we need to flare for something social.

Honestly the only reason not to use the desk lines is that it's probably monitored.

This probably (I am not sure) fails due to hellish aesthetics. But the idea has merit. Maybe make it a bit simpler?

[X] Plan Repelling
-[X] Activate ATP
-[X] Find a piece of cloth or a rebreather to cover your face while outside
-[X] Use RVD to get to the top floor of the building, then get to the roof
-[X] Fly down from the roof close to the windows, so from afar it looks like you repelled using a rope

Total cost - 1 mote.

We switched to FCF style stuff didn't we? In any case we're talking about a simple device seen at a distance for the purposes of recordings. Being made of brass or the winch being shaped like a spider won't be readily apparent unless a high quality camera is pointed right at us.

Either way I think we should use BMI, because we benefit from making it harder to pick out which of their many enemies did this and our movement in particular.

Fair enough, I thought he was basically dorm with that already and didn't think this would effect it.

This is a fun result, but I will say I'm a bit disappointed not to see what reincarnating the land god of Amazonia under the wheel and adding a dash of Sanctuary to his South American territory.
Wait, is Malko part of the fortress now? I didn't get that at all from the chapter…?
Hopefully he still gets to make a dramatically appropriate "your god has returned!" entrance at some point, cause I'd really like to watch some red court shit themselves in terror~
Also, hopefully he's hot, because the shenanigans could be absolutely amazing if Molly introduced her family to him at some point

8th floor. We could probably rig something using TTC on a neighboring roof or something, maybe. But not just throw it inside.
We have plenty of people with super human strength working for us. Even a half red should be able to manage. Also you are overestimating the difficulty of just making a primitive arm extender allowed for throwing things farther.

I read anything referencing the Exalted half of the quest and my brain ends up looking at the acronyms, reading things about adenosine triphosphate and Molly's body mass index, and interpreting the vote as some sort of particularly chemistry-oriented weightloss diet plan being tested at Trident Technical College.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that every time they see ATP or BMI in text.

BMI puts us dangerously close to flaring. We almost certainly want to have at least two motes before we flare - one for an excellency and one for something else.
If we don't use it then we basically bleed our hand to the reds if they detect us.

He's not strictly part of the fortress as I understand it. We made a separate god to embody that.

What I was talking about was that the original plan was to put him through the wheel, this is why we brought him to Sanctuary and the reason the portal exists. The trade off was getting him back to 100% immediately in exchange for the complications of an unexpected breach.

The trick is that anything we reincarnate becomes a creature of darkness due to our touch, and Malko being a land god means this would have impacted his domain. Which we now know to be Amazonia as a whole.

This new replacement mechanism seems to drop that and his instant recovery in favor of whatever happens when he finished eating the vamps.

I don't think we have any depictions of him to go by, but historically speaking supernaturals seem to think he's a snack.

I am fairly sure he was resurrected, actually - when we brought in wizard ghosts, the god died, and was reborn.
