Please sir, may I have some Meows?
- Location

If I gather the plan correctly it is to basically kill down the initiative order to hopefully not allow any enemy actions?
Basically as well as not get bogged down from fighting and recover some Essence for both us and Lydia and not use anything too distinguishing such as Veridian Legend Exoskeleton until It is necessary as we are still in disguise. If I gather the plan correctly it is to basically kill down the initiative order to hopefully not allow any enemy actions?
Well we have the one of the best* healers in the world with us. So we have a certain amount of wiggle room when it comes to injuries.Basically as well as not get bogged down from fighting and recover some Essence for both us and Lydia and not use anything too distinguishing such as Veridian Legend Exoskeleton until It is necessary as we are still in disguise.
Committing to the fight is getting bogged down, not sure it's actually worth it to do anything but push through and keep moving.Basically as well as not get bogged down from fighting and recover some Essence for both us and Lydia and not use anything too distinguishing such as Veridian Legend Exoskeleton until It is necessary as we are still in disguise.
We literally cannot let ourselves get surrounded by foes if that happens we will still have to find our way out and we will end up eating a fuck ton of damage for no reason just using aggravated damage and killing our foes and then moving as quickly and efficiently as possible is the fastest way to get out of here. If we plan on getting Joe we need enough Essence for either us or Lydia to exfiltrate right now we have 26 dice to hit at difficulty 2 and Lydia at difficulty 8 and 25 dice making the damage aggravated means they can only soak using their Iron Mountain and well 15 or 13 Health points are not enough considering our sword does strength + 2 on the successful hit at all and Lydia's Javelin does five flat making it aggravated means they're almost dead in the first hit or actually straight up dead dispatching our foes quickly and efficiently and moving to exfiltrate is the plan. Trying to run in a place that is full of enemies is just begging to get surrounded.Committing to the fight is getting bogged down, not sure it's actually worth it to do anything but push through and keep moving.
We were explicitly warned that the strategy Mikaboshi would deploy here is to slow us long enough for more substantial opposition to catch up. Anything that follows the pattern he's trying to set is worth a second look over.
If we're fighting our way out then the people we kill now are basically irrelevant. Mikaboshi has a functionally limitless army for the purposes of this encounter, timing is the important part.We literally cannot let ourselves get surrounded by foes if that happens we will still have to find our way out and we will end up eating a fuck ton of damage for no reason just using aggravated damage and killing our foes and then moving as quickly and efficiently as possible is the fastest way to get out of here. Assuming everything goes perfectly and we're not forced to improvise at any point. We were told at least some of these guys aren't trash even if they aren't typically a threat either.I do feel need to point this out combat rounds are three to six seconds. If we are efficient in taking out our foes this fight shouldn't take more than 12 to 18 seconds if we're unlucky on our damage rolls 21 to 24 seconds but if we do not efficiently dispatch them we are running through corridors with a bunch more enemies in them and 24 seconds when someone is behind you is different than when this is the only group of enemies that you're facing at the moment.
I think getting bogged down means you get caught in fights with 24 30 people because we eventually get surrounded by the people that are meant to run down the clock. Essentially my thought process was down to this we met this scouting party that is essentially skeleton crew of this place but we know there are more of them it is faster to dispatch smaller parties than it is to try and dispatch larger ones and if we get caught up with someone we cannot run from like these guys on Goblin jump Jets behind us and in front of us we're going to have to fight them anyway and fight more of them for way longer than just dispatching them one at a time.If we're fighting our way out then the people we kill now are basically irrelevant. I'm not saying stand around and let them shoot us, but we should be fighting to get past them as quickly as possible instead of to crush them because we're already surrounded. The Wicked City already knows we're here; the question is what resources they have relative to their current commitments and how long it will take to move our way.
If staying here to play out the fight doesn't buy us more time than we lose then it is pointless. Unfortunately we don't know what the eta on reinforcements is, so determining how much of our buffer this is eating isn't easy. Given that fact I think it makes more sense to avoid entanglement.

What do you think bogged down looks like if not getting distracted killing people who've been placed here specifically to run down the clock one combat round at a time?
DragonParadox mentioned they aren't chaff, they're just not Greater Akuma. I'm confident we'll win unless we do something stupid, but not that it will all go our way and we'll kill them at that rate when they're fighting to delay instead of win. We do not know what sort of time we have left or necessarily how much this will take.I think getting bogged down means you get caught in fights with 24 30 people because we eventually get surrounded by the people that are meant to run down the clock. If one fight with these 12 entities takes 18 to 24 seconds at worst why do you think a fight with these 12 and even more when we eventually hit someone in front of us because those three and their drones aren't going to be left in the dust we're not fast enough to leave them behind we might make more distance in the meantime but we're definitely going to lose time overall in the scuffles that will be more difficult and more time consuming and more Essence consuming because there's more opponents.
In general it benefits us more both in time and resources to dispatch small groups and try and make our way there than it is to try and dispatch larger groups because we don't have a multi-attack charm large group combats are going to take fucking forever even if that forever is literally only a minute but situations change quickly and we're trying to exfiltrate so it's better to spend the 12 to 24 seconds now than it is to try and make back the 2 minutes later.
I'm open to suggestions but from what I'm viewing of the situation at the moment we have at least three that we cannot outrun three of which are directly attached to those first three and five more that are just slave catchers that can just fly. So essentially if we kill these guys we're not back in stealth mode but we're definitely considerably in a better position than if we're being actively chased by personnel it allows us both the fog of War and the ability to move quickly through the tower without being followed.
Not that we know of.Does the Technician or the enslaved elementals have any problems that MiS (and Hope Plague, to make them more willing to try) can help with?
We literally just released it minutes ago.Speaking of the plague of hope I was suddenly afraid that it won't live up to the hype about the amount of damage Mikaboshi will suffer after his result was posted, the dc for that bakemono to rebel was 8.

I don't exactly see any alternative plans I can vote for right now, but ok, let's say this actually happens. The fact that you do not know how fast those gliders are, they seem like they could be fast enough to keep up with you
I've asked this question before.I don't exactly see any alternative plans I can vote for right now, but ok, let's say this actually happens.
What's the worst result of that scenario (if we just ignore them and leave, maybe try and break the chains of the elementals while running)?
QUESTION
1) Is there anything actually stopping Molly picking up everyone with MHM, punching Windborn Stride and just....leaving?
At Dexterity 10, she's doing 50 yards per second, and if she uses the active mode of Windborn Stride, she's going to be hitting close to 200 yards/second even without entering Shintai.
Ergo we have to stop and deal with them. The fact that you do not know how fast those gliders are, they seem like they could be fast enough to keep up with you
Yep, but is there a reason we can't ...move and shoot at the same time (or ignore everything but the gliders), or do you think we'll get to a vault door or something before we can finish off this batch that way?
1) Of our entire war party, the only person with a lethal ranged attack is Lydia.Yep, but is there a reason we can't ...move and shoot at the same time (or ignore everything but the gliders), or do you think we'll get to a vault door or something before we can finish off this batch that way?
(Also, are we wet right now, or did our antifreeze freeze over or something?)
3) How far, by the party's estimation, from their current location to their objective?
So if we leave these guys, good odds they'll catch up when we're trying to crack a door. Two more levels down then another 600 yards or so, though you will have to cut through some more blast doors once you are in the forge proper.
The primary target were always the tortured souls and lesser cyberdevils.Speaking of the plague of hope I was suddenly afraid that it won't live up to the hype about the amount of damage Mikaboshi will suffer after his result was posted, the dc for that bakemono to rebel was 8.
If we're not spending Essence on it, it's also free bashing damage against all our allies.Source Code Compliance Protocol is a DC 7 roll to activate, and Molly's buffs will make it autosux, which is free bashing damage against the drones.
Isn't MHM already active? And, in any case, this would put us at 4 motes, i.e. at the border of flaring.--[X]Attack: Mind-Hand Manipulation + Occult Excellency to grapple Warden 1: 1m
It's indiscriminate. We cut off our allies ability to communicate if we activate it.
If they run, they talk later, and we don't want that.-[X]STUNT: "How kind. I have a counter-offer." you say in Source Code, caste mark beginning to burn on your forehead as you abandon subterfuge. "Run." Dark Sun unfolds to its full extent on your forearm, even as the akuma before you begin to weep blood. Then your sword catches fire as you seize one of the akuma with your mind, anima banner flaring in time with your next words. "Or die a Final Death."
Shouldn't this plan give the Hands something to do? (I think Stealth is already gone and not coming back myself, given the connectivity of Yes of this place)
