COMMENTARY
-Called it.
Something is up with the White Court if you have Raith dropping and the alleged cause of death is a gunshot to the head.
Its not impossible, just implausible, especially for a Whampire of that lineage.
Lara Raith IS afraid of something, and her stated reason for meeting is not the actual reason she's meeting.
-Thomas is still officially an outcast post-Blood Rites.
But his secret girlfriend is still Lara's assistant. That he doesn't know anything of the details of his cousin's death points to there being a significant effort to keep the details under wraps.
-A mundane murder/murderer is not hard to find.
Especially given the resources available to the White Court, and you dont need to prove it in court.
That they appear to not know how she died means one of two things:
1)They genuinely have no idea, which means someone with serious mojo is involved
2)They know, and are covering it up, which means serious Complications are involved
Regardless, this was no accident or a flubbed hunt, it was a hit.
Besides, if this had been a mundane perpetrator? They'd simply have had them picked up by the police.
White Court attack isn't visible to mundane inspection, and all you'd be able to tell is that someone shot an unarmed rich white female in the head. Thats generally open and shut if the cops get their hands on you.

Madeline Raith is Madrigal Raith's sister, and in canon Lara's cousin, which makes her the White King's niece.
Its implied she was old enough to have been girls at the same time as Lara was, which would make her quite old, though Im not sure whether we're supposed to take that literally.
Their(Madrigal and Madeline's) father was Lara's uncle, who Lara's father the White King allegedly arranged to go diving out of an airplane without a parachute for some reason or the other.
She's also a spoiled noble of a Whampire who feeds pretty indiscriminately, and with little control.
Both she and her brother canonically betray House Raith and die.
Canonically, she was working for the Black Council.
In Turn Coat she was part of the conspiracy to frame the White Court for the murder of Senior Council member Aleron LaFortier by using her access to Raith financials to lay a financial trail to an account that was allegedly supposed to be Morgan's.
The point being to start a war between the White Court and White Council.
She is directly connected to the skin walker and whoever hired him in canon.
The skin walker's invasion of Raith Manor was in order to give her cover to escape when Dresden and Luccio came to ask Lara Raith questions about White Court involvement.
She died after blowing Lara Raith up with a landmine. Lara survived it and literally eviscerated her while draining her to death.
Her death at this time when the skin walker has committed at least one murder in Chicago, and tried to frame Dresden for it
- Could be the Black Council cleaning up loose ends after Kattrin and the Corpsetaker were both killed
- Maybe she's one of Gorfels contacts, and the BC was snipping off that thread
- Could be Lara discovering her scheming early and having her killed
- Could be that she's been used as a dupe to frame the White Court, and now murdered so the Court cant disclaim her
- It suggests that her schemes and her brother Madrigal's are connected in this AU
Either way her death is a major political event, and there are consequences for everyone in the local area.
And if Lara Raith is still perturbed, it suggests that whatever she was involved in is probably still in motion and serious enough to have consequences that could impact her House.
My guess? The naagloshii is definitely involved.
