I mean that an Essence-Roll will be made with our Permanent Essence, which at 2 is still pretty low.1)We dont have low Essence. We start this turn with 8/12 Essence

Ah.I mean that an Essence-Roll will be made with our Permanent Essence, which at 2 is still pretty low.
You aren't actually adressing my hypothesis that the elder vampire is a "moral" one, and is going after the woman because she's already suicidal, in an "angel of mercy" style of murderer. There isnt a shortage of criminals Im afraid.
I will remind you that the Fetches that kidnapped Molly showed up in the forms of horror movie characters because they drew power from people's fear. When Nicodemus Archleone captured Shiro he tortured him for power instead of just shooting him in the head. When Bianca St Claire captured Dresden she and her court spent several hours torturing him instead of shooting him outright.
The Dresdenverse supernatural world does not operate on realworld logic.
This assumes that she's still serving, and hasn't left the force after blatant corruption (from her perspective) saw her husband's murderer walk out and the investigation to be buried. Remember, if she saw the tapes, and wasn't read into the supernatural scene, Dresden walking would very bad.A serving federal agent, who was married to a murdered Chicago PD homicide detective?
Is very much not a target of opportunity.
Because there is literally no evidence for any of that. You aren't actually adressing my hypothesis that the elder vampire is a "moral" one, and is going after the woman because she's already suicidal, in an "angel of mercy" style of murderer.
1)The onus is on you to provide any evidence supporting the assertion that she has left the Bureau. This assumes that she's still serving, and hasn't left the force after blatant corruption (from her perspective) saw her husband's murderer walk out and the investigation to be buried. Remember, if she saw the tapes, and wasn't read into the supernatural scene, Dresden walking would very bad.
1) Molly thought that he was trying to be merciful:Because there is literally no evidence for any of that.
There's no evidence of his morality. His one spoken sentence is as far as I can tell, as much as not wanting to deal with disposing of a new dead body as it is mercy towards a, as far as he knows, random girl. Nothing prevents him changing his mind later and picking the civilian he thinks Molly is up later to tidy up a loose end.
And there's no evidence that the lady is suicidal, as opposed to just grieving.
Given the level of sensory enhancements we are currently operating under, I am feeling confident that she's reading him rightThe worst part of that encouragement is that that he is not faking it, not entirely. This then it the mercy of the killers of hope. So might a lion push off a young gazelle when he has plenty of meat for the feasting.
I am only asserting that this is a plausible scenario.1)The onus is on you to provide any evidence supporting the assertion that she has left the Bureau.
This actually depends. If the original tapes of Dresden killing her husband were shown to her through some friendly connections / pulling in favors, then the latter ones might not have been shown to her. Even if they were, to someone grieving they could look like fabrications.2)If she had access to see the tapes of "Dresden" dismembering a body, she would also have access to see the other tapes that showed Dresden two hours away at the time of the alleged murder. Plus the multiple witness interviews that will attest to having interacted with him that you know the Chicago Police Department's Homicide Division and the FBI will have carried out.
"Not entirely faking it".
There are 2 Skavis vamps in the house. You literally have a Skavis across from the victim beaming despair into their head.2) We are currently observing a suicide attempt. We don't know if it was triggered / generated by the vampires, or if they merely took advantage of it. It's plausible that she could be suicidal.
Its not plausible.
No, thats not plausible. This actually depends. If this is the first feeding of the teen vampire, then she started the process as a human. Meaning that the woman would have to be depressed / suicidal already. There are 2 Skavis vamps in the house. You literally have a Skavis across from the victim beaming despair into their head.
So what about Greene then? Corpse disposal isn't instant and clean. We've got some time, but I wouldn't want to wait an hour while we clean up after ourselves to get her help.I just want to kill the older vampire, then dissapear his corpse with TTC.
The younger will be all the easier to intimidate after we cut up her mentor, from her we can hopefully hear what was happening hear and a bit of the why.
But for an adult vampire I see no real reason not to kill it when the chance presents itself.
We can't really do much with a true name, even if we get one.So what about Greene then? Corpse disposal isn't instant and clean. We've got some time, but I wouldn't want to wait an hour while we clean up after ourselves to get her help.
TTC makes us faster, but this isn't a quick or simple thing in the first place.
The important thing is to get this guy to stop. Forcing him to bow accomplishes that more effectively in this circumstance if we can swing it.
If we can't make it stick after Greene is safe then we should go for killing him.
I bet we can force his true name from him though, which means he'll be intensely reluctant to screw with us.
He doesn't know what we can and can't do; since most who see Molly going full infernal think she's an archdemon I wouldn't bet on him being willing to try his luck.We can't really do much with a true name, even if we get one.
And we can't keep him restrained while paramedics run around either.
If we want him dead, killing him now and then being quick about the cleanup seems like our best bet.
Other useful items could include a box of nails for anti-Fey use, a big bag of salt for making circles and general anti-supernatural use, a couple large bottles of bleach for emergency Essence recovery and evidence removal, and a fire extinguisher.Incidentally, we should probably take this as a sign to do some prep work on Molly's cars for future situations like this.
So far we haven't had to kill anything as human as a white court vamp where mundane consequences could follow us or where we need to do clean up in a hurry.
While many of the factors against using violence as the first option stand, there will be cases where it is the best option to open with, or where we fail and have to default to it.
As macabre as it might seem, a kit for hiding or erasing our presence might be worth adding. TTC covers a lot, but there are things it can't do.
Like hairnets, hats to hide the hairnets, gloves, disposable shoes, some extra gas for burning places down, materials for mundane disguises, garbage bags/tarps for reasons, rope, some infrared camera disruption equipment mounted on headgear, that sort of stuff.
Which can be very suspicious, but a lot can be disguised as camping equipment. If anyone ever asks we're either planning to go or just got back from the great outdoors.
Add in a medical kit with things we can't TTC up, like narcan, then sprinkle in some basic supplies that we might want at some point anyway and we'd probably be fine.
We could buy a technology excellency, and then spend an AP on properly turning Black Rider into batmobile. We are at the point where we should be able to roll 15+ successes.Incidentally, we should probably take this as a sign to do some prep work on Molly's cars for future situations like this.
