All of the things being considered were gained before I joined the quest's conversation so there is nothing I've particularly put effort into getting, leaving me mainly with "the perspective of someone not ignorant of the relative value of certain things."
Aside from that, missing the point, trying to point out the obvious and assuming that we'd somehow be able to prepare against all the curveballs with just Intrigue... there's too many factions for that.
Sure, we can prepare against some of the curveballs(probably even a lot if we lay low and don't draw aggro, which is somewhat hard if we take the Necklace, Grail or Anchor because of how powerful those are) but eventually some are going to hit, even if Dace isn't just the intended target, this quest is kinda headed to a WW3 apocalypse eventually and there's going to be plenty of collateral damage on the way there.
Foreknowledge gives Dace a boost against plots he foiled before, sure except there'll be a squirrel spy network from the start(Math's Omake, don't ask) post-reset to influence intrigue, we might end up with new crossovers, the gods will have knowledge of the old timeline(and Riddle's patron deity will get a time-out) and this timeline had a rather severe case of unlikely butterflies due to an early nat 100 event roll getting mad loot for Dace and Riddle(and Dumbledore losing a big part of the Order of the Phoenix that set off certain events in turn) that is both unlikely to happen again and caused Riddle's faction to be the powerhouse that altered the behaviour of many other factions by virtue of existing.
Equally, while Dace might know the location of the Nat 100 event, this time around there might not be convenient Dragons with magic resist to breach the barrier. And he won't know where the grail is due to having sent out servants to go look for it and hasn't done a lot of spying on other factions to hold much advantages over them, or even get far in breaching Aimée's base.
He might know to hire certain characters or intervene/not intervene in certain situations, but equally, this is metaknowledge the players have. And while having the foreknowledge should give Dace bonuses in similar situations(and being a Swole HoMM4 Hero would make his solo interventions more impressive), the bonuses could likewise give us the idea that "we can handle it" because of said bonuses.
We can use the foreknowledge as players(insofar as the NewGame+ will resemble the old timeline) while having tools that work for a broader situation. But overall, a large chunk of its appeal seems to be the desire to get shinies from the old timeline again(a sunk cost if you will).
Also worth noting is that there are actors in play(like Aimée) who beat Dace at his own game, because Dace was supposed to be a prologue character setting up the faction until Chibi came of age, not a powerhouse who could go toe-to-toe with people that have divine blessings(of whom at least some are self-inserts with knowledge of Canon Harry Potter, like Aife).
With regards to the idea of out-teching our opponents? Sure. Eventually. In the Lategame.
We'd still need a decent chunk of quantity to match said quality though. And probably a good amount of gold to pay for the upgrades.
