He had awoken, and it was time for his revenge. His destined rival, and his bitch in sheep clothing. He would have his revenge, and he would steal the blessing kept in the child. For Anastasia. His new body, flesh and bone mashed together in the wonder he could call a body. Before him was his servant, his lieutenants, his ... He frowned.

They looked haggard. That was not acceptable. Not of his servants, not of his creation. Was Shirley still opposing his will, no, it was something else.

"How much of Brittan have we taken"

They hesitated, the silence filled the air has gaze drilled into them.

"Lord, we are loosing, this is our last stronghold, and we are barely holding. "

What, how could his forces possibly lose. "Explain"

"From what our spies have told us, and what we have gathered on our own, it all started when the overlord started paying the squirrels for intelligence. They built their own fortress outside Manchester, soon they had annihilated the muggle kind in the region. Our spies in the order faction reports how they was forced to flee for their lives from the homeless shelter."

Clearly his revival wasn't fully complete, because none of these statements made any sense.

"The Overlord gained the advantage quickly in the days to follow, but soon not even he could pay the prices the squirrels demanded. They went to war against him, and he was soon hard pressed from all sides as the Squirrels started releasing the creatures of their rooster. Demi-humans with squirrel tales, and giant squirrels bigger than fully grown dragons. All the hives we know of have been destroyed, but we suspect he is still alive. The nature faction, managed to fend them off somehow for a while due to their druids, but had to flee to south America where they are currently amassing their forces. The life faction has also fled the country, but sadly, he managed to find all our infiltrators. We suspect he is attempting to make the wizarding world involve themselves in the battle against the squirrels before its to late, but we have no proof. "

The situation looked bad, and was utterly ridiculous, but he would win. He knew he would win, he was in charge again. The number of dead could only grow, and so would his forces.

Alright. Point threshold passed.

@Kufufu , @Mathematicae , @Nordlending , you three got enough points to create a MP. Will you? Do you prefer to keep the points to save failed rolls? Do you want to create a personal piggy bank?

If the MP is chosen, what will you do? Save it in case of Nat1? Use it immediately?

And if you choose to use that MP, what will you use it for?

We should probably hold off on spending that until the Ck2 turn is up. Then we'll hopefully know what we need to spend it on most.

OrderQuest : Fudge? Fudge no, Fudge stahp!
OrderQuest : Fudge? Fudge no, Fudge stahp!

[X] Stop Minister Fudge.

This year was a complete, unmitigated disaster.

Rufus Scrimgeour cursed in his mind, wishing from the bottom of his heart he could drown the Overlord in an ice bath.

Now, he wouldn't be raging in an encampment lost in the woods for no reason, so let's go back in time for a bit, shall we?

Fudge had done it. He'd signed off on the law allowing to seize everything a Muggleborn owned, and the return of centaur hunting.

Rufus was looking at his aurors, all grizzled and looking determined, as they were forming ranks before him in the training room.

"Gentlemen, ladies, as you may know, Cornelius Fudge has been placed under compulsion spells and is being puppeted as we speak. Who is the master, and what is their goal, we do not know. However, as you saw, he is the one behind the recent strengthening of restrictions surrounding magical creatures and all the anti muggles and muggleborns laws." He looked at them, glaring to express his displeasure." Today the charms I placed were activated, meaning the master is here right now. The objective behind that is obvious, they wish to push the tensions and spark a war. I say no to that. We are Aurors. We are the guardians of the law, and no matter who is breaking it, our job is to be there and throw them in a cell."

The people in front of him were standing straight, the training methods he borrowed from the Belarusian army having left its mark, but leaving the ones who didn't give up stronger than ever.

"Let's go." He turned around and walked out of the room, followed by his troops. People didn't ask or try to stop them, thinking they were merely heading towards whatever insane routine Rufus made them go through.

The alarm was raised when they headed down towards the Minister's ofice, however, nobody dared to stop them because they were the law enforcement, though, people were talking. They arrived quickly in front of the door, ignoring the protests from a squat, toad-like woman, and forced their way in.

In the luxurious office, they saw minister Fudge, a dazed expression on his face, nodding to whatever the woman sitting in front of him said. The woman was clearly not human, her unhealthy skin shining next to her black pantsuit. Her long brown hair was up in a ponytail an her intelligent green eyes were framed by square glasses. Fudge immediately noticed them and got up.

"Rufus? What's the meaning of this?" He asked angrily, skin already reddening due to his temper. " And where is Dolores? I said I wanted no interruptions."

Rufus smiled grimly.

"My apologies Minister, but you have been placed under an insidious version of the imperius. Therefore, we would like you to surrender to our custody." The minister immediately prepared to refuse, but got blasted with a stunner coming from Amelia.

The woman was sitting, arms and legs crossed and looked up at them with a small smirk.

"Oh my, to interrupt a Lady's conversation, how rude."

Rufus immediately lunged, fists made of pure magic sailing towards her. She showed no pain, even as she fell to the ground, before screaming, a shrill sound that made the walls tremble.

That got Rufus' attention and he immediately shouted at his subordinated to get away as the wall exploded, revealing a figure clad in black armor. Behind him, deformed creatures were running amok. He looked around, his hand reaching for his weapon, before speaking out one word.

"Where."

The woman waved her hand.

"Level 9, third door to the right~"

The man immediately retreated, however an auror let loose a spell, that made him turn around after a jet of brown light hit his shoulder. The only warning they had was shen a yellow light started shining from the gauntlet's palm before a wave of fire engulfed them. The explosion disoriented them, and when they got their footing back, the Overlord was long gone with his creatures.

Rufus took one look at the befuddled Cornelius, then at the smirking, laughting woman and all the rage he felt, pent up for years was released. At the end, he didn't need his wand, he ripped her apart with his bare hands. That's when Cornelius began screaming murder, ducking under another stunner. Office workers and hitwizards arrived to the scene, and in the shadows, Cornelius seemed to melt. People were finally upon them, spellfire raining in all directions, and the woman grinned like a demon.

"Thank you for leaving the door open~" The said, before disappearing. Rufus looked underneath him and saw Cornelius, face stuck in a rictus of terror as he lay in pieces on the floor.

He didn't allow himself to feel, only to act and once the madness was over, he was sitting, covered in blood in a clearing, with his loyal subordinates setting up camp. He took a moment to clean himself, as keeping the blood on him was just begging for an infection, and the thought about the woman's last words. He was nonplussed for a moment, before he finally understood.

Today was a day a few aurors, loyal to him were manning the entrance. Aurors who came with him for his coup d'état. After the alarm was tripped.

The level of fury he felt after realizing this increased tenfold and he lied down, looking at the stars in hope of calming himself

He could have sworn that at this moment, the stars answered to him.

What will Rufus do?
[] He swears to have his revenge.
[] He swears nover to let it happen again.
[] He swears to create a new order, where this kind of things cannot happen

Does this sound as catastrophic as it should :V ?
Muhehe said:
What?! How in the world did it come to this?! We were supposed to have an easy win!
LadyPanda said:
Did I say that? Your fault for not checking auror rotation. Also, might want to check last paragraph of last update.
TheGrammarian said:
"Well, one does have to lay plans carefully to win, but I don't see why it should go wrong." She never said it was about us. I hate you Zebra, I hate you like I've never hated anything and you're probably enjoying it to its to the fullest while twirling your invisible mustache.
Muhehe said:
What do we do now?! It's practically game over by this point! What about Dace, he's our ally!
LadyPanda said:
You were his ally and ignored him when he asked for help~
TheGrammarian said:
And of course, like idiots, we chose not to take the out just before jumping into the trap. Did Lilyquest ever have to deal with this?
Kekre said:
I'll have you know I had nothing to do with this.
LadyPanda said:
No, everything was rather smooth sailing, until Riddle attacked.
Raven said:
Speaking of Riddle, how come he's become so efficient? He's never reached that level of fuckery before!
LadyPanda said:
Well, that's because he's comatose. His undead waifu Not-Monika is taking care of everything.
Muhehe said:
Does she lean agains the fourth wall too?
LadyPanda said:
Why, she wouldn't be a good expy if she didn't!

Things are gonna be rather delicate, so I'd advise you guys to find a nice corner to bunker up in. Like Ireland. Your loss isn't total yet, but you need to be careful.
Porky said:
Shut up you filthy traitor of a beta.
Raven said:
Am I the only one concerned about the fact those bloody inserts are popping out like daisies?

Also [X]Revenge. Go get'em Rufus.
Kekre said:
In any case, since we're now supposed to be murderhobos, I vote we kidnap some goblins and create master gremlins asap. We need them.
Muhehe said:
Not anymore that we need an hospital for Amelia, remember her condition?
LadyPanda said:
I'd advise against that. Things are gonna get rather... Heated... Over there.
TheGrammarian said:
"Heated". Heat, fire... Aw hell, the red hive is at Saint Mungos isn't it? What is it with wizards building critical infrastructure above deadly artifacts ?!
TheGrammarian said:
LadyPanda said:
See? You're finally getting in character!

Title may have been misleading a bit, but in my defense, the Fudges need to be stopped. Also, see, you own situation isn't bad ! In comparison.

Dear Cherry (Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned... Canon) +10
Dear Cherry

Eros kicked back to watch his entertainment for the day. Once again, 'Themis', Freyja, and Andraste were squabbling like little children over Scathach the younger. At this point, he barely had to do anything to get them started. An idle comment would trigger days of entertainment. It was almost as good as that time when he started the catfight between Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite. As he reached into the popcorn bowl next to him, someone bowled him over. Popcorn flew everywhere except into his mouth. He looked up to see who had been so rude and sighed, leave it to Cherry to ruin his entertainment.

"THEMIS!" Ceridwen roared. "You stole my vassal!"

Themis rolled her eyes, "What did I allegedly do this time?"

"You know what you did!" Ceridwen thrust a piece of parchment at Themis, "But maybe this will jog your memory!"

"Dear Cherry," Themis read aloud. "It's not working out for us. It's not me, it's you. I wish I could say I'll always cherish our short time together, but I can't remember anything about you. Sincerely, Dace Gwallawg P.S. Not even gods can mind control me and get away with it."

"See!" Cherry snarled, "He broke my vassalage and all I got was that stupid letter!"

As the two goddesses started arguing, Eros raised one of his popcorn kernel's in a toast to Dace. It'd be a shame if he got offed too soon, but intervening was such a bother. Obviously, he'd been mistaken about Ceridwen ruining his entertainment, he mused. This was even better than before.

At least the ministry is still there, completely corrupted, and under Deaths control.

But we still got the back door into it.

Whats up with the new muggleborn laws. Is Wales the only place left that allows them?

Huh. Considering MP was used... Why not. Burning things to sacrifice them, you can even send messages. Sure, I'll go with that.

On a more interesting note.

Rita Skeeta is now recruitable as spy mistress. Rufus might not have let us grab his Aurors, but his advisers are currently free for the taking. If they aren't getting arrested and sentenced to death.

First Umbridge and Lucius and now Skeeter. We're basically recruiting every non-voldemort antagonist from the books. Aife's going to be totally convinced that we're evil. Not that she needs much to convince her.

Everything is on fire. Like it should be :D

Looks like it's time for another round of Beta advice.

Beta advice -- Alternatives

So you guys think the main way forward is allying with the Orderhobos, and Fumbledore (because lets face it, Fumbledoe's people haven't been his for a long time). That's a totally valid path to take.

However, it's not your only one. Remember the name of the quest -- "Grandpa Dace's Quest for a Stable Family". The goal is to promote the interests of your family*. Primarily by keeping them safe, but also in securing their future.

There's a nice option available that you probably haven't considered to do this -- Allying with the Overlord. Bend the knee to him, and you can turn the game on it's head**. It's far too spoilery to go into what this would do, but suffice to say, you can come out of it amazingly or you can screw yourself over massively. Basically the same as with anything in this quest really.

And remember to always keep in mind what everyone wants to do.

*And maybe find the time for an epic quest to get emotions, but that's the "ideal world" kind of dream
**for better and worse

I don't trust our family at all. They are a nest of snakes waiting to bite our
head of. We can only thrust Urie and Martha, and some extent Elizabeth.

I was tempted to put a ninja's image to illustrate the required playstyle at the beginning of the quest, but I didn't trust readers not to misinterpret it and Naruto their way out of the quest.

A Dungeon Keeper Troll would also work.

They're the trapmaking/crafting unit and the Intrigue WMD option is literally called Trolling.

Dungeon keeper troll... Fitting, though for different reasons.

Gonna try harder to separate my notes from discord and the thread. But yeah, Important stuff was said, they'll share with the class if they want to.

It's 3 in the morning, and exhaustion is making me pretty loopy and I'll regret this when I wake up, but that's a problem for future me so ,know this:

You're dealing with an Overlord of Domination, not destruction.
Ceridwen is a genuine goddess. Themis is not.
The world won't end, though it's still flammable, and fires will be lit, by people who wished to long before you came into play.
The heroine of this story will meet with a pitiful end, and you won't be able to stop it.
Pieces will come back to their boxes.
'Themis' Isn't a goddess of Order.
Dumbledore's faction splintered. Again. It' prolly gonna end up with him pulling a King Solomon on himself.
the PKH protagonist is entering prologue phase.
Oliver's making his move next turn.
Heaven, Hell, The void are all things. Proof: Aife dug her way into Hell. She came back running.

Now I'm gonna sleep and future me will cure me in a few hours, but I'm saying all that anyways because I can and I've been told I'm being too subtle o here' a bucket list of thing that will most likely explode in your face.

Overlord's going to make us an offer on turn 10
Cherry's boss is important (wasn't revealed because huge spoilers) Themis has a nature connection
King Arthur and Mordred are waking up (turn 10 I think) and will try to conquer everything. Arthur's a jerk and Mordred's even worse. Merlin's waking up too and he probably isn't very friendly either.
No clue who the heroine is.
No clue what pieces mean.
See Themis has nature connection
Nothing was revealed about Dumbledore's faction splintering
Evil SI
Don't know what Oliver has planned
Aife did Aife things.

Gods above the more I learn about our situation the more I hear Illidan scream about our unpreparedness.
Lately, I find myself agreeing with him.
Back to the ol drawing bord then.
Points for the point God, crits for the crit roll.
