Duck Fate is not infallible, though. It does nothing if the Sid fails the activation roll.
Duck Fate requires a Dexterity+Dodge roll at a difficulty equal to your foe's Essence.

Let's assume the worst - the Yozis are Essence 10, so the activation roll is difficulty 10. This means she needs 10 successes.

Anys Syn is an Elder Sidereal who has mastered multiple Sidereal Martial Arts, so at the bare minimum she's Essence 7, probably more likely to be Essence 8+. As a peerless Martial Artist, both Dexterity and Dodge are obvious traits for her to have maxed-out, so at Essence 8 that gives her a total pool of 16, before applying any specialties (+3) or Virtues (+5) or Excellencies (+8). So just on dice alone, she can very plausibly get to a dice pool of 24-32 on a Dexterity+Dodge roll, for an average of 12-16 successes.

So on average, she's absolutely not going to fail. But we don't like averages!

So instead we'll just use the Fateful Dodge Excellency, spend 4m, 1wp (at most), and automatically pass the roll. Anys Syn can do this, as can any Sidereal with a (Dexterity+Dodge) pool of at least 10, after applying Virtues and Specialties. Every Exalt has at least one Virtue rated at 3+, and Sidereals are very much encouraged to boost theirs higher. So the only Sidereal who can actually be controlled by the Yozis must be simultaneously a deadly Essence 5+ combatant who mastered a dangerous and forbidden Martial Art of 10 full Charms, but also has below-average Dexterity (the main combat stat in the game) and didn't fully master the art of knowing when to Dodge, and has no particularly strong views on anything.

And, actually, how do the Yozis take over a master of Infernal Monster, considering the five day delay between Malfeas and Creation? The Yozis shouldn't be able to send real-time instructions like that. They should only be able to send pre-programmed orders over, if they're doing it directly rather than handing authority over to one of their Creation-side minions. It'd make much more sense if One Hand Fury effectively sealed a coadjutor into one of your arms, so the demon inside it could take over.

Or, you know, they can't afford the 14m 1wp every single time the Yozi send them a command. The problem isn't that they can't do the roll, the problem is that the Yozi can spam the attack with no cost or limitation until it succeeds.

I barely even remember the rest of the book, to be honest.

There was something about the Silver Prince unleashing his armada, though I can't recall which side was his target, and another wedding between the Dragon and the Empress which could get interrupted somehow.

Mnemon ended up leading the Righteous Orphan Rebellion, which is an awesome plot undermined by the fact that it is only necessary due to the Empress suddenly having ultimate mind control power over basically the entire Realm.

Oh, and that one Akuma in the south who was supposed to seduce a PC with the idea that she was actually addicted to fucking, whereupon she would corrupt him/her with, and I quote, 'marathons of mind-melting kinky sex'. I don't remember why, just that I immediately decided never to implement it even if I ran the game because, well, the friendship that I share with my players isn't even nearly that strong.

Considering Solars currently have Skeevy Sex Charms in the main book, I'd hate to see what the Ebon Dragon versions would look like!

Infernal Monster Style said:
Worse, once in the lifetime of any Infernal Monster Style master, the Yozis may telepathically command her to act as they please for one scene across any distance or realms of existence. Resistance is not possible, and defenses that trump this control merely postpone it to another time. The character can be ordered to betray her Motivation but can't be given an unacceptable order.

The Infernal Monster command effect lasts for a scene. Negating it postpones the effect for another time.

Therefore, Anys Syn can use Duck Fate to avoid being controlled for at least one full scene - or about 20-30 minutes. That's easily enough to avoid killing anyone at the Lotus Massacre, and in the long term it's enough time to isolate and exhaust herself sufficiently that another 20-30 minutes of control immediately afterward inflicts very little damage - or, for that matter, she can kill herself.

Personally, if I were Anys Syn's player, I'd accept the mental influence to Kill All Sidereals at the Lotus Massacre, because they can all just Avoidance Kata their way away from me, I can't be ordered to do anything that would be obvious suicide, and after 20-odd minutes I'm free from Yozi control forever. That's an out-of-character consideration, of course, but the only vulnerable Sids would be those who aren't geared for combat, and why the hell would they even be at the Lotus Massacre?

Band name get.

I looked for it entirely to find the Ebon Dragon Charms in his writeup, because some of them aren't Elder level, and I wanted a complete list of all non-homebrew Infernal Charms for that game that never took off where the Storyteller would tell us what homebrew was allowed because they don't all mesh.
I never even bothered reading the rest of the book.

There was some stuff in it I liked- but none of those things were actually connected to the main thrust of the book. :V

Ahahaha. I forgot it can't give Unacceptable orders. Time to pick up Unhearing Dedication which makes any plan endorsed by a convention of Sidereals reinforced by an unbreakable intimacy that makes betraying it an Unacceptable Order.

Which, by the way, you can change at any time for 1xp.

Ayn Syn: Oh no! My evil doom hand is making me murder!
Chejop Kejak: Snap out of it Ayn!
Ayn Syn: Is that... and order from my superior?
Chejop Kejak: ...yes. Yes it is.
Ayn Syn: Cool fucking beans. Fuck you murder doom hand I've been ordered by my superior to, 'snap out of it' and snap out of it I shall...

What else is worthwhile in it? I still have my copy, but I'd rather not force myself to read the whole thing just to find the good bits.

The true nature of Mount Metagos, iirc- ymmv, of course, but I liked the feel of the First Age shown in Dreams, I always liked the idea of the Directional Titans, and the idea that the flying mountain is a 'buried' one of those is something I rather like.

The section on Chiaroscuro is also pretty neat, partially because it's one of the areas in which you see the Reclaimation not have everything go its own way.

Eh. I prefer that to just be a floating mountain that was carried down from the North in the Crusade.

(Now, there's a crashed Dimensional Titan in the Far South, half-buried by sand, that people think is a mountain and is inhabited by Fremen cultists who worship the god of the water-making machines within it)

I remember having it be the result of a Directional Titan, with the caveat that the mountain wasn't the Titan.

Instead, the Titan had crashed and was long since buried by the ground, but it's leaking reactor caused all sorts of strange stuff to happen, such as a floating mountain for example.

Like I said, YMMV.

I admit, the Titans are a setting detail I really like- partially because floating massive fortress, but I also like the little details, like how each one's named as a 'fuck you' to a particular Yozi.
