[X] Teeth of the Dragon
Alternatively, it's a giant claymore or a scroll on a stick. Worrying about stuff like the length of the blade is a non-issue in Naruto unless you care about rule of cool. [X] Teeth of the Dragon
This appeals to me, I like the idea that the spiritual representation of Daisuke is a dragon. His first ninjutsu that empowers his sword takes the shape of dragon teeth.
@Vesvius, do you have a specific reason to be vague about the sword? Is it a wakizashi, katana, tsurugi, chokuto or something else? A sword isn't just a sword.
Yin Release: Tone of Discord: Advanced (900/1000)
Shouldn't this have more exp? I seem to recall that there was added 250 exp or something. Am I missing something.
Regarding elemental affinities I would like it to be either lightning or water. We should use both together anyway.
Water can give you immense battlefield control and can be moulded into anything including jets with terrible piercing power. It is an immensely versatile element.
Lightning is a wonderful element to use with a sword. A shroud of it around our body would be an awesome defense and frightening with taijutsu. Just think about if we added lighting to Teeth of the Dragon.
Meito is not a type of sword. Mifune uses a katana, but refers to it as Meito, because of its excellent status and quality. Not really? The cut-off mark for the difference between an o-wakizashi and a katana was a total length of 2-shaku (roughly 60 cm). So, the Sword of the Watchman would likely be right on the border of that definition; any shorter and it is an O-wakizashi, any longer and it is a katana.
But... Is it not possible that that "2-foot" length was referring to the blade/sheathe? At which point it would just be a katana.
That description also fits the Yanmaodao too, but that's a digression on preference. The yanmadao's really similar to the katana in form, only slight differences in the blade's tip-shape allowing for ease of thrusting strikes in addition to superior cutting ability.
Still, considering that Tokei was skilled and high-ranked enough to be distinguished for the duty of watching over Daisuke and Manami, and the the sword is really beautiful, it obviously wasn't an ordinary soldier's blade. So it's likely that the Sword of the Watchman might be a Meito, like Mifune's own sword, Kurosawa.
I mean, just based off of the description Ves gave, it's clear that this is no mere samurai sword - the craftsmanship and artistry involved means it's definitely a 'named sword' with a history.
Seven Swords Sheathed
The Seven Swordsmen of the Mist are said to be the most elite Kenjutsu force in all of the Elemental Nations. But who'd they ever beat?! Their swords will look much better hanging on your wall.
Unlock Condition: Capture All Seven Swords of the Mist.
Reward: ???
Status: LOCKED
Ha! I knew it, conformation from the author himself. All seven weapons wielded by the swordsmen of the mist are SWORDS!
A. The length of the blade is the only part considered when making the distinction between wakizashi and katana. Not really? Probably, given his later chakra control feats, the main cause is PROBABLY his shitty Ninjutsu skill outside of Henge.
If you do not care, then it wouldn't be a problem for you to know what sword we use. What type of sword and which attributes it possesses is important even in the narutoverse. Look at Kusanagi, Kurosawa, Samehada, Kiler B's swords, Kubikiribocho. Yeah, some of them are fantastical, but it is still important or in the very least interesting. It's not that easy to describe a sword very detailed in the written form, but knowing if it is a katana would help imagine it and to think up strategies and maybe jutsu.[X] The Endless Sword

I think she calls it sickle instead of scar though?
