She nearly left him without a choice, but before he used the nuclear option he had to try one more time.
She was his best friend. She deserved that much.
"Ino. you need to listen" Daisuke tried for the third and last time to convince her.
"I already said no, Daisuke. I just need to add a few more proteins, maybe remove a few more carbs in exchange"
"Ino, you NEED the carbs! I watched carefully every one of your taijutsu spars in the last week. Your stamina is decreasing. You tire more easily. Your training has been suffering as well!"
"Only compared to you! And your training regime is not normal, you have no room to judge! I even checked a few books, my diet is perfectly normal."
"FOR A CIVILIAN!" Daisuke screamed out in frustration. It was very unusual for him to show this level of emotion beyond his mask of calm. "For a civilian your diet would be fine, but you're going to be a kunoichi! You train, you fight, and you need to build more muscle! How will you do that if you don't eat!"
"For the last time Daisuke, i said no. I can handle this, i just need to balance it better".
It was useless. Ino was not really listening to him. She had decided, and he would not be able to change her mind until reality harshly slapped her down. She was stubborn like that.
He was left with no choice.
"Very well" Daisuke said, resigned. He turned around to leave "Just remember. You left me no choice".
That said, he silently walked away, and left Ino to wander what he meant by that.
"Ino, come down! Someone is here to see you!" her mother's voice was calling her from the living room.
Who could it be? She was not expecting guests, and Daisuke would have simply come up to her room.
"I'm coming" she yelled, quickly fixing her hair before going down to meet her guest.
Of all who could be, she did non expect HER.
"Miss Satomura" she instinctively stood straighter. No matter how long she'd known her, Daisuke's mom was still intimidating "I was not expecting you. Is Daisuke here as well?" she quickly looked around, slighly surprised to not see him with his her.
"No, Ino. I'm here alone this day" She spoke up, looking at her with visible displeasure. Had she done something wrong? Were her hair messed up? No, she had just fixed them!
she did not need to wait long before Miss Satomura cleared that up
"I have been made aware that you're starving yourself out of some foolish notion of 'following a diet' " The look she gave her was heavy with her displeasure "care to explain?"
...Oh Daisuke that bastard!
Ino did not talk to Daisuke for a full week after that.
