That moment when you realize that the thing you're fusing Worm with... was written originally in 1976-77 and 1980... predating the divergence from the real world.... so Dark Phoenix Saga would have been a thing in Earth Bet's comics scene. That was just now.

The original comic sales for the team were rather lack luster IIRC, given the better sales of Stan's other works no reason to think he wouldn't have called the whole thing off as a failed idea of his. Maybe every now and then some of the members get a "ha-ha" cameo in other comics.

Cosmic entity pays no attention to dimensional barriers. Only the Phoenix. No Summers and his ridiculous number of siblings and future/past/alternate reality children that litter the world. No Sinister, etc.

No Wolverine.
The cast of the X-Men and their supporting members can go fly kites. Especially Wolverine. I think he's the only thing in the Marvel Universe more wanked than the Phoenix Force.
(and Taylor is more wanked than all of them. I saw someone somewhere claim that Taylor could take Thanos while he was wearing the Infinity Gauntlet.)

I think it's because people tend think things like "Taylor beat Scion" rather than "every parahuman everywhere beat Scion thanks to Taylor's control." I pin a lot of the wank on Taylor killing Alexandria.

I have never read a Marvel comic in my life or bought one for that matter(Btw, anyone know where to get like samples for free or something?), so while I have an understanding of Marvel being more powerful than Worm, I don't know what Thanos with infinity gaunlet is like.

Possess all six infinity gems(or stones as the MCU calls them) and you have absolute mastery of Time, Space, Reality, The Mind, The Soul, and infinite power to do whatever you want. Thanos united all six back in... 1991, I believe, and became the supreme being of the Marvel Universe. Whatever he desired became reality. To please Mistress Death, he snapped his fingers and half the life in the universe was snuffed out. A temper tantrum created a shockwave that knocked earth out of its orbit and away from our Sun. Earth's heroes banded together, under a plan orchestrated by Adam Warlock, to oppose him...
and got casually curbstomped. Even limiting himself to only having infinite power and no awareness of what they were going to do via mind-reading or future sight, Thanos rolled all over the earth's forces.
Then the Cosmic Entities showed up... and they got beat too. Followed by Eternity, the embodiment of all reality, who also got stomped.

i believe they tricked him into becoming eternity so that even if he lost the gauntlet he'd still have infinite power...
but then whilst he was comprehending all of everything they stole the gauntlet and used its powers to force him back to normal...
or am i getting some thanos plots confused?

Thanos defeated Eternity and displaced him as the embodiment of all there is. By doing so, he left his body laying there with the gauntlet on it. Nebula, his 'granddaughter' that he had tortured into a half-dead crispy fritter, regained enough awareness to yank the gauntlet off his body and restored herself, becoming the new supreme being and undoing everything that Thanos had done.
She was not, however, as adept a user of the power and her reign lasted not even two hours, as Adam Warlock exploited her light grasp on the power to disrupt her control and turn the gauntlet against her... before claiming the power himself. After that... stuff.
