This story made me decide to play Okami.








I stopped when the 'voices' gave me an actual migraine before the opening sequence ended.

The disc is currently locked in an otherwise empty drawer. Just in case I ever got high enough to consider opening it, I threw the key out the window.

Such a shame, too, since the story and the discussions in this thread make it seem like a fun game.

I'm now Really hoping that Taylor takes Dinah on as an apprentice or protege of some sort. Hell, if the author allows them, then Someone needs to at least make an Omake of it.

Also, am I the only one who wants to the reaction of Dinah's family and the general populace to Oni-Lee walking the Mayor's niece home?

You know I don't recall if there any PHO parts in this fic, because honestly that Last part of the chapter is just perfect for one.
 
Sounds like something you could as easily fit into a news headline once people realize she's being walked home by Onii Lee, too. "KNOWN VILLAIN ESCORTS MAYOR'S DAUGHTER HOME, CAUSE UNKNOWN"
 
And thus we see how terrifyingly effective Amaterasu is with her pocket seer. Those paw prints were there for months in story. I really do like when we get to see hints of Ammy from the game, who's both an incredible chessmaster and a total derp who wings it half the time. I wonder how people would react to Waka, would they be terrified of what he's capable of or terrified that he's... Waka.

Taylor: "...But he's not french so why... Is he flying by flapping his hair? Wha.... I'm not sure if I should be confused, terrified or really want to know what he uses for his hair."

Also love how Taylor just accidentally dominated the entire meeting between supervillains, and how everyone seems to be walking on eggshells around her and Ammy. Only Lung seems to realize the change in the situation, or how irrelevant supervillains are slowly becoming.

Also I really hope Tattletale was being literal when she said Ammy was Photobombing her power.

Kaiser seemed to have realized something about Miko. Miko is WHY ARE YOU NOT PETTING THE WOLF!?

Coil appears to have a plan-IT IS A GOOD WOLF! I MEAN DOG. CANINE WITH WOLF-LIKE APPEARANCE. YES.

Grue is-TOTALLY NOT A GOD!

Lung-PET ME-I MEAN HER.

Wolf has a thing for blondes- THAT IS TOTALLY UNRELATED TO THIS. YES.

There are alot of things that Lung tolerated Oni Lee with.

He looked down at the girl hiding behind Oni Lee's legs.

This may not be one of them.

"Lee, who is she?"

"I call her..." Oni Lee began, stretching the time, "My Side kick."

Silence. It was golden.

"92.737% chance you're going to facepalm."

Lung facepalmed.

I'm fairly certain Pillow Talk's reveal will be the exact moment everyone Nopes their way to the nearest bar and never leave. Everyone except Taylor.

Taylor will have noped out of there earlier when she realized the Hot Springs and dismantling the Empire sole purpose was so that Ammy could perv on Fenja and Menja at the hot springs. :V

I've been nursing a headcanon for a while now that Dinah budded off of PtV. Her power can basically search through all possible futures and tell her in what percentage of them something happens. And I can totally see Cauldron trying to reproduce the power of PtV and then abandon the poor person they used for the attempt if it doesn't work out. Not sure how realistic it is, but I'm fond of the concept.

Like, if every possible action creates its own timeline, she groups together these timelines and determines how often the predicted scenario occurs.

So she doesn't predict what will happen, but of all the things (literally, all of the things) that can happen, "how prevalent is this thing?", kind of.

This is roughly accurate to what we see in canon. She asks a question, and sorts all possible futures into two groups, yes to the question and no to the question.

And, I guess she has a necessary secondary power of being really good at counting.
 
Other fun random thought: Dinah needs someone to teach her how to be a Seer. Waka volunteers. :V

"Chance I agree to let this strange not-french moon person teach me how to be a prophetess?"

98.675% this will result in you getting a Lightsaber musical instrument.
