Nonono. This still in November, right? There's 2 months left before Lunar New Year.

Which means, enough time for Sunny to raise some funds. And more. Legally.

Also, she and Brushstroke (that's Taylor) had their own account, as it is. No need to borrow Danny's credit card after this moment.
Yes, but than again. Imagine the look on the accountant's face when Chessman is buying Lung clothes

Ha, I just noticed.

Sunny literally kicked Skidmark out of Brockton Bay. More like pushed, dragged, and smited him but she forced him out.

I wonder why the different treatment? I mean, she did smite Lung but her approach was decidedly with good intention towards Lung. Even her attacks on Kaiser and E88 were kinder than that. Skidmark she didn't want anything to do with.

It's not just because of the attempt on Taylor's life, right?

I really don't understand the fandom loathing for poor Tattletale. Traumatized teenagers with guns to their heads do not mature, calm, polite adults make. Yeesh.

Though yes, I do imagine Tattletale is getting the same results as every scan Armsmaster tried: "totally just an ordinary dog. Totally." I'll grant that that's amusing, just... not the vitriol.

And heh. Oh, Emma. Sorry. Taylor isn't exactly over you, no - but she does have bigger problems, and she knows it. You're going to have to live with that too. And sorry - but she's always been stronger than you.

*insert SU theme here*
Personally I'm now waiting for her to team up with Armsmaster to try to deal with doG.

She could think Skidmark is unlikely to be redeemed while he is in Brockton Bay.

According to WOG, Sunny didn't actually even think about smiting Lung, it was just a twitch reflex to Taylor getting smacked. She had actually expected Lung to be more polite and was startled when he lashed out. Or, to put it another way, she didn't expect Lung to live through her smiting. She just decided to use it when he was more polite the next time.
"No, you don't get it! This isn't new, is it? She could have-- at any time, she could have-- I mean, she could even sic Oni Lee on me, couldn't she?" Crazy Chick turned wide eyes on him.
That moment-the one where you realize that you've been playing Hacky-Sack with a hand grenade.

Well, there's villain meeting after this, which may related with that- Oh bollocks.

We didn't have Taylor confirming her invitation to anyone supposed to be there, wouldn't she? Not even Lung?

And that's why Bitch is nowhere there; she literally a security risk.

Coil you know-nothing-know-it-all idiot-

AHEM.

Maybe because Merchant already attacked a passive, non-confrontational Cape in her house? Because even if Skidmark had nothing to do with it, the responsibilty still squarely falls on him as Merchant's leader. Actually, it's worse if he had nothing to do with it; that means Merchant is basically nothing but a bunch of uncontrollable thugs that their leader cannot even control, and that's bad for everyone.

So, yeah, the logical choice is either making Skidmark pay, or making entire Merchant pay.

Sunny was practically Furious, and rightfully so.

I feel like the best thing in the world would be for Lung to not attend.

Because he's trying to go legit.

But as a side benefit, leaving the Miko on her own is a bonus tormenting regardless :V

Reading the bit with the Undersiders meeting with Taylor I wonder what Bitch will make of Sunny?

Heh, Taylor still not really caring for 'Cape culture'. Nice shutdown of Lisa here, before she went and did something dumb. Curious what Coil wants with Taylor, he has to be up to something - maybe he wanted TT to meet Taylor in person, which as we can see kind of backfired, maybe he is planning to do something and needs Taylor distracted or away from the Shrine.

"Thanks so much, Baachan! Yuuta, I can look over your charms when I get done with the meeting-- oh, right! I talked to Oni Lee, you're off the hook for buying from me. But he's gonna buy from you instead, so-- we'll talk later, can't be late, bye!" Yuuta felt his grandmother's gaze sharpen like knifepoints, even as Taylor sat sidesaddle on the Ōkami and rode off, not a care in the world.
What amuses me about this is it could be taken as Taylor getting a dig into Yuuta for having Emma around, all the while sounding like a polite informative comment. Truly Taylor has embraced the ways of a high class Lady.

"She… didn't even look at me." Yuuta finished a line, then looked up. Crazy Chick was hugging her arms around herself. "Taylor. It's like she didn't even care."
Poor Emma, its just a shock after shock for her. Girl is really twigged in the head, but seems to be getting better. She and Taylor do need to talk though, will probably need to be Emma that initiates though, Taylor has maxed out 'avoid talking about things' stat from not dealing with her father. Really like this plotline, maybe they will become friends again eventuall. That sort of 'healing' is a thing in Okami.

I think he will, just to spite Taylor. I hope he will, I want to see Taylor explode in indignation behind her well-trained etiquette.
"Hello Lung, I see you are wearing a shirt today."
Kenta couldn't quite dismiss the chill that ran down his spine at the Mikos innocuous words.

I dont think he can shirk this one meeting. Brushstroke is known to be his associate, he gives some of the ABB territory to her, she was attacked without him knowing.

If he doesn't want to give an impression of weakness, he must come to the meeting personally.

Well, no. He's being forced by circumstances that involve divine mandate to go legit. The heaping plies of money that will be thrown at him once he gets there are a good incentive though.

The blonde girl was still staring at Sunny, who was staring back with a particularly smug expression on her canine face. Tattletale blinked when her name was called, looking over at Grue almost on autopilot. She glanced back at Sunny once, then turned to face Grue again, eyes wide and with one finger pointed accusingly at Sunny. "Dog!"

No Lisa, "Dog shaped".

I assume this is the line of logic TT and shard got from Good Dog.

TT stares at Sunny, Sunny stares back
TT: Whatever this thing is it's very smug
Shard: Dog is smug
TT: That's not a dog.
Shard: Is smug dog.
TT: That is clearly not a dog, perhaps a wolf?
Shard: Wolf is dog?
TT: Wolves aren't dogs!
Sunny: *Smug Intensifies*
Shard: GUD DOGE! MUCH SMUG!
TT: *Screams internally*

When Lisa is alone.

That's the problem of having no principle's you start to question morality, believing that people are able to do the right thing because they have strength but in reality good people gain strength because they do the right thing.
Well, from a certain point a view, yes, people are able to do right thing because they have strength. What Emma (And SS) conveniently forget to ask is what kind of strength that required to do right thing.

Also, like it or not, faith and belief are basically like muscle; it needs to train regularly and in increasing difficulty to get stronger. Emma conveniently only training with single 3 pounds weight that somehow get reduced slowly.

So when someone suddenly put 150 kg weight on her, she can't even budge it.

Personally I think you have the whole things backwards -but that´s not the thread topic. @UnwelcomeStorm update, nice. Still, what is this meeting supposed to be about?

Heh. So now we just have to see what Bitch's reaction to Sunny is. It's been a long time coming, and is either going to be glorious or entertainingly anticlimactic.

Wonder what exactly the meeting is going to be about. Since Grue said it concerns Taylor, probably at least in part about the breaking of the unspoken rules in attacking her home by the Merchants, but possibly also about splitting the new territory opportunities Skidmark being removed leaves, etc... but that later part is unlikely as even with the E88's reduction and ABB's growing legitimacy they wouldn't be that civil over the matter. The worst case reason I can think of for this to happen, considering that in canon and most other fanfiction it takes Bakuda's bombing spree or similar levels of chaos, is that the Teeth or some other group is making to return to BB (well, technically the S9 would be the worst case, but there wouldn't be any warning for that), but that seems like a darker turn than this story is prone to heading. So... just have to wait to see I guess.

EDIT: Actually, I guess it's to set up the cease-fire with the PRT/Protectorate for the time being, but I can't help but feel that's a bit too... simple for a Somer's Rock meeting, especially if Faultline's group will be there as well. Unless there's a serious concern of the remaining Merchants hiring them, Faultline doesn't really seem the sort to cause trouble.

"It is a dog. It is a good dog. Everything will be OK. Just a regular, ordinary, dog. Nothing special to see here at all."

Lung won't be wearing a shirt because he wasn't expecting Miko to show up. Aslo doG probably messes with Coil's power, so non zero chance that Coil will try something, of course he most likely will fail.

Lung and Ammy's miko were in a verble conflict that escalated to violence, so she smacked him with a lightning bolt.

Skidmark messed with Ammy's miko unprovoked in her own home. The doG needed to have words with him about proper conduct.

Reading the bit with the Undersiders meeting with Taylor I wonder what Bitch will make of Sunny?
You know how Bitch is always trying to establish her place in the pack with others, well I imagine she will take one look at sunny and say something like this:
Bitch: "I am not alpha, she is Alpha"

Now I'm imagining Lung sighing when he sees Miko walk into the bar and signals Oni Lee to come over. Everyone tenses as the assassin walks over to the rage dragon, only for the teleporter to hand Lung a folded and neatly pressed shirt for him to wear.
