[X] Plan Dawn of Walpurgisnacht - 48 hours remain -
-[X] Talk to
--[X] Archer
---[X] about what he plans on doing once all of this is over, aside from the obvious answer of "being a good Dad to you"; once Walpurgisnacht is gone you could finally rest and with the only magical girls in a large area all under the banner of the Holy Sextet or regular life there surely won't be any meaningful conflict, so since Archer won't have to act as a Servant anymore what does he want to do in life?
--[X] Assassin
---[X] about what she plans to do today
--[X] Amy
---[X] about how being a cat is treating her and if she would recommend becoming a cat
-[X] Text
--[X] the Holy Sextet
---[X] about preparations to have their last training session/possible Witch hunt later today after school
--[X] Oriko
---[X] about the epiphany you had last night on creating charms that'll protect your Soul Gems long enough for you to retrieve them under time-stop this coming Sunday; you don't mean to stress her out or anything by dropping this on her right before her dinner with Nurse Ortensia, however you'll be willing to pull an all nighter with her showing her how to Runic Mystic Code properly if Lancer hadn't already done that, or if she hadn't already gotten a start on or finished the project
----[X] You apologize once more, but this is truly important enough for them to go without the relaxation of sleep tonight, as you can't help but wonder if you'll regret it if you did nothing if someone had their Soul Gem popped in the midst of battle (left unspoken is their shared interest in making sure Kirika makes it through this, not to mention the fact that you've come to care about Oriko herself this time loop)
-[X] After breakfast
--[X] meet up with Madoka and co
---[X] and stay quiet while letting the others do most of the talking, just basking in the presence of your girlfriend instead

Seriously though, has Madoka's past Wishes given Amy any more intelligence than usual, or a supernatural sixth sense to help people like Madoka would or something? Cause that's one really thoughtful cat, her trying to cheer Homura up after her mood the other day and plenty of others despite Assassin's scent commonly being on Homura. *only kinda /s*

Of course not. Amy's just a normal cat who's grateful that we took her in and are willing to feed her and play with her. Why would she be anything else?

Do you think that we should talk with Sayaka after her 'attempt' to talk to us yesterday, or no?
Maybe at lunch, probably not again on their way to school. Sayaka.exe does takes time to process things after all. :V

Besides, Homura's comfort zone is usually not social in the first place what with being an introvert before and after becoming a magical girl, so spending a bit of time close to her girlfriend without having to say a word would be a nice way to help Homura reduce her anxiety over how close Wallwhatsenburg Night is. Don't want Homura to burn out after all.

[X] Enetious

Incidentally, Walpurgis has dropped in MagiReco, and I can't help but find the fact that it's showing up in MagiReco this close to it's appearance in this quest humorous somehow.

Day 45 Chapter 2
[X] Plan Dawn of Walpurgisnacht - 48 hours remain -

"So, what are your plans for when this is all over?"

Your question catches Archer by surprise, apparently, as he's at a loss for words. "I don't know," he says. "For as long as I can remember, all I've ever had thew choice to do was to to be the World's garbage man. But if I have the chance to stick around here after the end of it all..." As long as everything remains peaceful after Walpurgisnacht's defeat and there are no more major conflicts on the horizon, then between you and the others there shouldn't be a reason for your servants to have to act as servants. They could live their own lives if they wanted to.

So what does Archer want to do?

"I guess I'd continue doing the kind of things I did when I was still alive," Archer says as he comes to his conclusion. "Though, maybe I'd try to keep things a little more local this time around." Archer smiles, reaching out to tousle your hair. "I'll have a family to think about; I won't be able to just go running off to do humanitarian work if it means leaving you behind."

"I'm sure there are plenty of ways to make the world a better place from right here in Japan," you say, basking in your father's affection, and in the thought of having a family again after how long has it even been?. "You'd probably need to find a real job, though, and you'll definitely need a real identity, but it shouldn't be too difficult once you're legally a person."

Archer laughs, and when he says "I'm sure there are plenty of opportunities for a guy that hasn't legally been a person in forever," you find yourself laughing too.

"And what about you?" you ask, turning your attention to Assassin. "What are your plans for when this is all over?"

"I am content to merely bask in your presence, master."

"Then, what about just today?" you ask. "I'll be gone most of the day today-" and possibly all night if you need the additional time to work with Mikuni Oriko. "-so what are you planning to do while I'm gone?"

"I may attempt to venture out into the city once more," Assassin replies. "It would be imprudent of me to ask that you uproot yourself and move to a less stifling city solely on my account, so in time I will have to learn to adjust to this city, one way or another. If I go out for a little longer each day, I can eventually increase my tolerance until I am no less comfortable here than I would be in a bustling city of my own time."

"That's good," you say. "I'm glad to hear you're doing your best to adjust."

Breakfast ends and you go through the rest of your morning routine, showering and getting changed for the new day. As you finish dressing yourself, Amy approaches, "Mew"ing and demanding scratches as she often does. You smile, complying with her demands, and as you spend a few free moments playing with her you ask "What's it like to be a cat, anyway? It seems so easy; all you have to do is eat, sleep, and demand attention. How's that working out for you?"

Well, considering you've taken her in and given her shelter, food, and affection, being a cat is probably treating Amy quite well. "I guess you'd recommend giving it a try, then," you say to Amy, giving her one final scratch behind the ears as you slip your shoes on to head out the door.

While your morning doesn't officially kick off until you've met and hugged Madoka, you have things you need to kick off this morning before you become enraptured by her charms.

<Homura: When everyone gets the chance, can you text me your availability for tonight? We'll be out both Mikuni Oriko and Kirika tonight, so we should think about and prepare for tonight carefully.>

You don't need an answer from everyone else right away, but there is something which you do need an answer to as soon as possible. You select Mikuni Oriko's name in your contacts, and send her a more private text message.

<Homura: I had an idea last night that I think we should begin working on as soon as possible, if you haven't already. I don't want any of us to die on Sunday, so I was thinking that we should try to find a way to protect our Soul Gems. Im sorry to spring this on you so suddenly, but if we do nothing and end up losing someone I'll never be able to get over it if there might have been something we could have done. If at all possible I'd like to discuss this with you and work on it more later tonight, when you have the chance. Text or call me when you finish having dinner with Nurse Ortensia, please.>

You hope that you'll hear back from Mikuni Oriko sooner, rather than later, but until then all you can do is wait. "Homura-chan!" And hug Madoka. Hugging Madoka is always good. "How are you doing?"

"I guess I'm doing a little bit better," you say. "Yesterday, Sayaka almost talked to me again."

"Really? That's great news, Homura-chan! What happened?"

"It was during an exercise with the rest of the girls. Kyouko took a break to check in on Sayaka, and while they were talking Sayaka asked her to hand the phone over to me. She didn't have anything to say, but the fact that she tried to reach out is... It's something, right?"

"Don't worry, Homura-chan," Madoka says as she tightens her hug. "I know it seems like Sayaka-chan's really mad right now, but she'll get there; I know she will. Even if it doesn't feel like much, that she wanted Kyouko-chan to hand the phone over to you shows that she's trying, in her own way." You don't have much else to say to Madoka after that; nor do you have much to say when Sayaka and Hitomi approach.

"Morning, Madoka!" Sayaka says, before turning her attention to you and sending a tense "Hey, Homura," your way. That's two words Sayaka has said to you so far today; coupled with her attempt at communication yesterday, and you think you might really be seeing progress on this front.

"Good morning, Kaname-san," says Hitomi to Madoka. Unlike Sayaka, Hitomi's voice holds no ill will towards you when she says "Good morning, Akemi-san." Standard fare for Hitomi's interactions with you these past few days; no ill will, or at least none that she's willing to let seep into her conversational tones. "How are you both this morning?"

"I'm doing good, Hitomi-chan!"

"And I'm doing well myself." You think.

Hitomi smiles, saying to you and Madoka "I'm glad to hear that."

[ ] Wat do?

[X] Plan Eet Yur Fuu-duh
-[X] Pay attention to class and work on your school project
--[X] Any updates on your team's progress, and a reminder on when the project is due?
-[X] Take your meds
--[X] Ask Caren if she's all set to have dinner at the Mikuni residence today while you're there
---[X] You do hope that she's not going to pressure Oriko with a recruitment pitch during their kinda family dinner, considering the circumstances surrounding why Caren has to have dinner with Oriko tomorrow in the first place (so that Caren could humor Oriko before Oriko goes off to fight a city destroying monster)
-[X] Go to Lunch and talk to
--[X] Madoka
---[X] about idle things like Ms. Saotome's latest breakup (it truly amazes you how many ways Ms. Saotome can manage to get together with someone before being broken up with, with new variations just about every loop)
----[X] ... poor Nakazawa-san
---[X] trying out the linking of your necklaces
----[X] Try not to be an obviously adorable couple, but fail
---[X] inviting her to accompany you to tomorrow's party
--[X] Sayaka
---[X] only if she initiates or otherwise seems amiable towards speaking to you without ruining her mood
----[X] about Kyoko, and whether or not she's gone on any recent dates with her
-----[X] If Sayaka asks about the party and Kyoko hasn't invited her yet, explain to her that Kyoko will probably offer to bring her soon enough since they agreed to inviting the GFs of the members of the team as well as Hitomi
----[X] about the small things happening around the school, same as you're discussing with Madoka
--[X] Hitomi
---[X] about what she thinks Mitakihara Middle was like before it was reconstructed into the modern art piece that it is today
----[X] Perhaps you could look up a photo of the old building on your phone?
---[X] inviting her to come along to the party tomorrow, if she wants to; explain to her the reasoning for the party in the first place if she asks, as it's probably a bad idea to go into Walpurgisnacht stressed out and high strung
--[X] KirikaBig Sis
---[X] about the games you played with her after last night's family dinner
----[X] Is it normal to lose track of time like that while playing video games? Time flew by really fast while you were playing them with her, you think.
----[X] Thanking her for showing you the wonders of this... "Wii", you think it was called; it's a hundred times better than the shooters at the arcade, in your opinion
--[X] Tomoe-san
---[X] about preparations for tomorrow's party
---[X] awkwardly asking her if it'd be fine if they hung out more like friends rather than just as team members after Walpurgisnacht; you know how jam packed everything's been since they "first met", however once things have settled perhaps they could try to be more like friend friends rather than just work friends
----[X] Same applies to Kyoko, really
----[X] Don't tell her this, but you remember what it was like in the early loops when you were actual friend friends with Tomoe-san, and you wouldn't mind if things ended up a bit more like that if this loop works out

Posting this right before I'm going to sleep, so I probably won't be able to reply to any criticism or requests to change anything for a while (if anything needs to be changed, any other voters feel free to do so in my stead under a new plan name or something). Nothing special, just some topics for Homura and co to talk about during lunch along with an update on the whole project thing and what they've got done so far (at a certain point, if they have to present it to the class, they'll probably have to rehearse their presentation for a bit I'm assuming).

Also yes, Mitakihara Middle was reconstructed "several years prior to the start of the show".

Nothing to say to Caren? Not going to remind her about dinner/ask if she's excited about it, even just the tiniest amount/warn her not to try any funny Church stuff over dinner/anything we want to ask her or talk to her about dinner? Or are we saving that talk for tomorrow so we can grill her about it?

It's either due tomorrow or Monday. I can't remember what I said, and I can't remember how far back ago it was that I said.

Nothing to say to poor Mami? I know she's going off and trying to be more sociable with her other classmates, but are we really just going to not have anything to say if she decides to eat with us today?

I could believe this line if you typed all this up hours upon hours ago and just forgot to post it until now, but if you're seriously just going to sleep now then I have to wonder just where in the hell you are. Your location says you're in the US, but even at the earliest it should still only be... 7? for you, if I've done the math right? Just when the fuck do you sleep?

Eh, I'm in EST, I just ended up staying up until like 11 AM. Not the norm obviously, but it happened. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm pleased to report Walpurgis is now dead in MagiReco, now we've just got to pull the same thing off here.

Day 45 Chapter 3
[X] Enetious

There's just the rest of today, and tomorrow, you think to yourself as you walk, mind on autopilot, into the cafeteria as the lunch bell rings. And the day after tomorrow is Sunday.

"It's that super-witch, right?" Sayaka's question - wait, Sayaka is initiating conversation with you? - catches you and grabs your immediate attention. "That's what's got you walking around looking like a zombie all day, isn't it?" You nod your head as you sit down beside Madoka, still too stunned by Sayaka's engagement to really have anything to say to her. "Kyouko told me yesterday that it's got you pretty down. I, uh... After what you said the other day, I guess I can see why."

Eventually, your brain settles on the thing least likely to set Sayaka off. "Yeah."

"I guess my whole tantrum thing's really not making things any easier on you," Sayaka says, rubbing the back of her head. "Listen, Homura, I... I'm still kinda mad at you for keeping something this big from us, but I..." Is this progress you hear? No; Sayaka shakes her head, and says "Never mind. Just, come back alive on Sunday. That's about all I can really say to you right now."

"Did Sakura-san say something to you yesterday?" asks Hitomi.

"Kinda. She called me up during some team thing she was doing yesterday to see how I was doing, and I guess I went a little overboard on her about this whole thing. She said-" Sayaka adopts her best impression of the redhead to say "Don't ya think yer being too hard on Spooky?" While Sayaka's impression of Kyouko has improved noticeably, she stops after just the one sentence, before returning to her normal voice. "Basically, she said had every right to be mad at Homura for keeping something like that a secret from me, but I shouldn't be so hard on her for it 'cause, after Sunday, I might not have a chance to say I'm sorry by the time I'm no longer mad at her."

"I see," you say. You won't tempt Fate by asking if this makes you and Sayaka friends again, but you will ask her "The other girls and I are hosting a little get-together tomorrow night at Tomoe-san's apartment. I take it this new development means you'll be attending as Kyouko's plus one?"

"Maybe? She didn't say anything about a party to me yesterday; maybe it just slipped her mind."

"What about me, Homura-chan?" Madoka asks, clinging to your arm, forcing you to open your lunch with only the unencumbered other arm. "Am I invited?"

"Of course," you reply. Looking over to Hitomi, you add "All of you are invited, actually, if you want to go." Because it might be the last time you ever see any of them.

Hitomi nods, and asks "Ah, don't you think it's a bit... Improper, to be hosting a party the night before something like that? Aren't you all worried that you could have spent the time preparing instead?"

"We're doing everything we can to prepare," you say. "In fact, we decided to have this because none of us wanted to go into battle Sunday feeling any more stressed out than we need to."

"I see," Hitomi says. "In that case, whether I'm able to join you will depend on if my parents will allow me to. I'm sure they'll be watching the evening news, and they may not wish for me to leave if it looks like a severe tropical storm is coming."

"Of course." You hope Hitomi can make it. You hope the improving relationships between you and your friends will be able to continue tomorrow night. You hope tomorrow night won't be the last time you see any of them in this timeline. Again, with Hitomi you won't try to push your luck and tempt Fate, so rather than ask what you really want to, you ask "You know, I've heard that our school was rebuilt a few years ago; do you happen to know what it looked like before?"

Hitomi nods, saying "Yes, as a matter of fact. When I was a little girl, I remember the school was much more conservatively designed than it is now." Hitomi takes out her phone, and shows you a picture of the school from around ten years ago. It's a digital scan of a newspaper article, captioned "Mitakihara Junior High building condemned, to be torn down later this year." The school in the picture is a brick-and-wood building that looks like it was built in the first half of the last century. The building looks to be in quite dire straits, and after seeing the state the old building was in, you suddenly understand why it was rebuilt. "I was just a little girl, but I remember thinking how pretty the new building looked when it was finally finished."

"Didn't the city get some famous European guy to design it?"

"Yes," Hitomi says to Sayaka. "It was an Austrian architect, I believe, but for the life of me I can't seem to remember their name."

"Hey," Kirika says as she sits down beside you. You scoot over to give her move room, slyly taking the opportunity to move in close to Madoka as you do so. "What's up?"

"Not much," you say. "I do have one piece of good news, though- I spoke with Nurse Ortensia earlier today about her dinner with Mikuni Oriko, and I was able to get her word that she wouldn't try anything tonight." Granted, you have no idea how far you can trust her word, but you can hope. You can be wrong, too. "Have you heard from Mikuni Oriko at all about the message I sent her earlier today?"

"That's good," Kirika says. "And yes, actually I have. First, Oriko wants to apologise, 'cause she hasn't been able to get back to you yet; and second, she says she's already been working on something like what you suggested for awhile now. I don't know what it is, 'cause she didn't tell me; all I know is that she said she'd be happy to work on it more with you later tonight."

"I assume she'll be contacting me?"

Kirika nods. "Yeah. I'm just hoping everything goes well for her. Nurse O's... Not exactly a nice person, is she? I mean, I know Oriko wants to get to know her, but there's just something about her that's so... Off, you know?"

You've known how 'off' Nurse Ortensia is for awhile now, considering you have to see her every day in order to keep up appearances. "Yeah. I hope we can trust her," you say, before deciding to change the topic. "I want to thank you for last night. I had a lot of fun playing all those games with you."

"Hey, no problem," Kirika says. "You're good to Oriko, and Archer's good to my mom. As long as things stay that way, I'll be good to you too." She drapes an arm over your shoulder, an act which earns a jealous pout from Madoka. "You know, you can come over any time you'd like. Doesn't just have to be when we're having family dinner; and if you do, we can play a lot more games together."

"I think I'd like that," you say. "You've got an impressive library, and every one of your games is a hundred times better than the shooter at the arcade."

"Like I said, videogames have been getting a lot better lately, and-" Kirika stops herself, adding "You know what? I'd better let you go before Pinkie gnaws my arm off," before removing her arm from your shoulder. "Sorry. I'll keep quiet and let your girlfriend monopolise you."

You nod, and turn to face Madoka. Even when she's jealous, she can't help but look adorable. "Sorry," she says, hanging her head. "I know you and Kirika-chan are just being friendly, but I can't help but feel a little jealous, you know? You spend so much time with the others, even though I'm your girlfriend, and I-"

Madoka doesn't get to finish her sentence, because your arms wrapping her in a hug interrupts her. "I know," you say. "Even though we only went on a date a few days ago, I know it must be hard for you to accept that I see the rest of my team more than you." You smile for Madoka, adding "But I'm doing it because of you, Madoka. I'm doing everything I can now to make sure you're safe tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow, and all the days after that, too." You reach down the collar of your shirt, until you produce your half of the necklace you bought. "But even if I'm too busy to see you, just remember that we'll never be apart."

Madoka nods, wordlessly mimicking your motions as she mates her half of the necklace with yours. "Yeah," she says.

"Now, since you seem so jealous for my attention, what do you want to talk about?" you ask. "Is there some gossip about our teachers you'd like to share with me? Something about poor Saotome-sensei's relationship troubles, perhaps?"

"Well, I did hear something about the biology teacher for the third years," On your other side, you see Kirika leaning in rather conspicuously, and Madoka's eyes dart across the cafeteria, as if to make sure no one were listening in on your scandalous conversation, before she says in a hushed tone "I heard he..."

[ ] Wat do?

[X] Plan I Believe I Can Fly
-[X] Cuddle the 'doka
-[X] After school, go to the training grounds that you and your team used yesterday
--[X] Actually... it's kind of odd how you've usurped Tomoe-san's position as team leader even if it hasn't been explicitly stated; even in the earlier (but not too early) loops where you were a part of the Holy Quintet trying to prepare everyone for Walpurgisnacht - even if you couldn't tell them the truth lest they disbelieve you or react badly - Tomoe-san has always been the one organizing training sessions, group events, and taking charge of coordinating everyone into an effective fighting force... it's just really odd is all
---[X] Perhaps once Walpurgisnacht is defeated you could try and hand over the metaphorical reigns back to Tomoe-san?

-[X] Test out some applications of Inguz
--[X] First see if you can't fire grief from someone else's Soul Gem through your Inguz Shot instead of your own; it'd be nice to know if you can cleanse someone's Soul Gem a bit in an emergency if your shield is ever damaged without the time to repair it using magic
--[X] Secondly, transfer a little bit of grief into a mundane rock and throw it at a tree to get a rudimentary understanding of how grief interacts with the world while inside a non-conductive container (e.g. will it shatter/blow up a bit, or will it just dissipate from the rock, etc.?)
--[X] Thirdly, try to cheat at magical girl enchanting by transferring some of your magical energy into a rock to make a magical throwing stone; if it doesn't enchant the stone, then what does it do you wonder?
--[X] Fourthly, draw an Inguz rune in the air using frozen water molecules and have Nagatsuki-san shoot it with lightning to see if you can't transfer the energy shot at the rune back at an opponent (obviously you'd warn her about the test, as well as aiming any backlash away from her if she doesn't just immediately dodge out of the way after shooting)
---[X] Does it work with fire as well, considering fire is mostly the result of energy igniting a substance?
----[X] What about purely magical attacks such as Oriko's beams? Since she's not here, shoot at it with your weak magical energy shot that you sometimes use to dispose of the Incubator's bodies whenever you have to be stealthy in certain time loops; not like you'll get much mileage out of it otherwise without a specific Wish magic fueling it or an upgrade in magical energy capacity.

-[X] Test out some applications of Isa
--[X] You're not giving up on your dreams of (pseudo) flight just yet, give it another go
---[X] If Lancer can jettison herself using pure flames with no non-energy mass, then you can do so with ice particles!
----[X] Instead of wholesale freezing the water molecules as a solid object in the air in order try and propagate a burst that'll jettison you, instead burst it outwards from yourself like a heavy torrent of snow and/or hail
-----[X] As an extension of your Isa Burst testing, use Isa to create a burst of heavy magical snow/hail that expands out from you like a dome as a defensive (which is also technically an offensive) measure
------[X] Can you use this in conjunction with an Isa rune weapon to enhance your melee attacks if you ever have to engage in melee?
--[X] Create a self-replicating normal Isa arrow while under the effects of Tomoe-san's Wunjo and with a cleansed Soul Gem
--[X] Try creating things other than arrows out of your Isa rune and Projection ability, such as swords (you're sure that Dad would approve)
---[X] Project a sword using Isa that also has an Isa rune embedded in it (so business as usual, like your arrows) to see its effects on a melee weapon; punish poor Tree-chan some more
---[X] Try shooting off a hail of Isa needles with Projected velocity (the needles of which will probably be much faster when shot off in comparison your arrows due to having much less mass)
----[X] Gauge the difference between the explosive ice damage between your arrows and your needles

-[X] Test out some applications of Reinforcement Magecraft
--[X] Warning Kirika ahead of time, Reinforce your shield and subsequent sand timer and time-stop
---[X] Toki wo tomare!
--[X] Reinforce Nagatsuki-san's gun and see what happens when she shoots her elements out of it

-[] Test out some applications of Big Sis' magical abilities
--[] Can she absorb and transfer magical/magically elemental attacks through her claws using Fehu and Gebo (an example being you shooting an Isa arrow at her and her absorbing and releasing the attack in the form of ice, same with Nagatsuki-san's elemental attacks, pure energy attacks like Oriko's beams or your weak and rudimentary magical energy shot, etc.)? Though she likely doesn't have the transferal permanence that comes with Inguz, she might be able to mitigate attacks this way while possibly surprising an enemy with their own attack. (OOC: I'm thinking something like redirecting lightning in Avatar: The Last Airbender, how one can temporarily absorb energies into the body but having to expel it before it deals damage to them)
--[] Reinforce your Big Sis' claws to see what happens; a better melee weapon is a better melee weapon even if nothing special happens, though it'd be interesting to see how effective her claws would be considering how incredibly deadly they were beforehand (perhaps they could more easily pierce magical barriers?)

-[X] After testing is done or while it's winding down, see if you can't have Archer come on down here so that you could test out cleansing everyone's half-filled Grief Seeds in Lancer's place; it'll be good experience for yourself even if you can't do as many as Lancer, unless Lancer wasn't very far into or interested in Inguz as a rune in the first place

Mami's been waaay too passive during this quest when it comes to the team, especially in comparison to past loops. Normally it'd be really out of character for her, especially considering her hangups on needing to being connected to everyone and making sure to not be betrayed by anyone close to her like so many of her past students have done to her, however I guess all the craziness and reliance on precog has put her off her game? In any case, hopefully she'll get back into her groove once things settle down after Walpurgisnacht, assuming we don't Bad End things. Though idk, there might be another reason for her passivity that I'm not thinking of right now.

Also before anyone complains, there is only light Inguz grief testing in this plan which would've been needed to be practiced by Homura anyways to progress due to how Inguz works, what with it relying on transferring energy from one body to another. Nothing that could corrupt the land or anything like that.

Homura should be able to use the basic expression of her magical energy as a Puella Magi in the form of a magic bullet as she does in canon (like how all Puella Magi can enchant, or how Homura can control vehicles using her magical energy, etc.), though obviously it probably wouldn't be as strong as even a bullet due to it not being fueled by a Wish, not in her base capabilities as a Puella Magi (like Oriko's primary weapon), and not being amplified by Mystery like most Magecraft and Runes. Probably why Homura doesn't use it that much in the base series other than to try and take out the Incubator without any gunshot noises and such.

As for reinforcing her shield/time-stop, now's the time to figure out what happens before she presumably loses the ability sometime during the fight against Walpurgisnacht and her ability to reset the timeline unlocks. Not like reinforcing an object harms it due to it being conceptual and all, as most Magecraft is wont to do.

Oh btw SVS, don't forget to update Homura's character sheet to include her Inguz practice session from last night before we forget.

Anyone have any other ideas to add to the plan?

--[X] Actually... it's kind of odd how you've usurped Tomoe-san's position as team leader even if it hasn't been explicitly stated

---[X] Perhaps once Walpurgisnacht is defeated you could try and hand over the metaphorical reigns back to Tomoe-san?
I mean, if we were controlling Mami, things would be different, but we're not, so... And if we hand the reigns back to her, she and Oriko are going to try to figure out how to be helpful to the city when there's no longer witches to slay. Not that I'm discouraging us from doing this, mind you. It'll give us something constructive to do with our powers even when there's no city-destroying monsters to defeat. And keep us in combat-ready shape for when the city-destroying monsters come back.
We can keep this in if you'd like, but I will say that we are not going to be achieving flight through Isa. There are several reasons for this, that I can list if you're curious, but the short of it is that we aren't going to be flying with Isa any time before Walpol arrives.
-[X] Test out some applications of Big Sis' magical abilities
Kirika is stuck at home today, since she's going to the party on Saturday. We can't test anything out with her.
See above- Part of the problem is that the players aren't in control of Mami, and since I'm using all of you to come up with our team planning and combat direction at the meta level, at the narrative level that ends up really hurting Mami. A more in-universe explanation could reasonably be that she's just off her game because of how weird things have gotten lately, and the fact that we're so aggressive about leading the team has allowed her to step back now that she doesn't have to keep giving 120% all on her own; and do recall, the latter is something to which she herself admitted earlier in the quest.

I addressed this earlier in the quest- We can't do this, because I actually forgot that ability was a thing when constructing what Homura could do (along with the rest of the failed combat system I had originally planned to use but never did) until someone brought it up. Our Inguz gandr shot is my attempt to rectify this and ladder us back into an ability I originally didn't include.

Oh, didn't realize she was just shifting her Minako day for the week from Saturday to Friday instead of simply cutting her Minako day on Saturday short in the evening. Will edit plan.

Well, to be fair, you haven't explicitly done anything in the story to disprove Homura of being capable if it IC. And honestly I don't see what the issue of allowing it is, as it'd just be a semi-expensive not-as-strong-as-a-mundane-bullet magical energy shot that probably wouldn't have done a thing to many familiars and all Witches even before the timeline got buffed. It's just a simple expression of magic for Puella Magi in the Madoka Magica-verse, along with healing (which is also very expensive if you don't have the right abilities), enchantment, object control (like Homura driving vehicles with magic), and such. It's not like it'd be a techmagic tree like the Runes, Magecraft, and probably enchantment and whatnot, just as Puella Magi healing doesn't have a tree to progress in. :/

If you want to use that argument, I haven't explicitly done anything in the story that says Homura can do it, either. It was an ability she used all of one time, that not only I but the majority of players forgot about until some new face asked about it when they were confused why Homura had never used it before. It's hardly an important element of her kit if everyone forgot about it until some speed-lurker spoke up, and we have a functionally identical but mechanically improved version in the Inguz gandr shot. Why would you want to use the version that adds Grief when you can use the version that depletes Grief instead?
