So. We getting potty mouth Lancelot?

No, that would be silly. He's added a new word to his vocabulary since the 4th HGW, but you'll still only ever hear him say two words.

Now that our servant lineup is almost full, with only 1-2 slots remaining (obviously dependent on whether or not people are correct about the Kazamino shade being a servant and their identity thereof) what are everybody's guesses for the last slot(s)?

My last bet is on Saber

Day 7 Chapter 4
[X] Sit with
-[X] Madoka, Sayaka, and Hitomi. You need to assure yourself of their safety - of Madoka's safety - in light of recent news

"Please let them be okay" the thoughts race through your head as you in turn race through the halls "Please, don't let Kirika have started her attack yet."

You arrive to the cafeteria, fully expecting to be greeted by a bloodbath, with Kirika and her servant standing triumphant among the corpses of your friends; but when you enter, you instead see the same busy lunch hall as always. You spot Madoka, safely eating with her friends, and all the tension in your body evaporates when she waves you down. Finally allowing yourself to relax, you walk over and join them at their table.

"Are you feeling better now, Homura-chan?" she asks, beaming with joy merely at seeing you. You nod, and she responds. "That's good. I'm glad to hear that Homura-chan is feeling better."

"I think you might need to take it a little easy, Homura," Sayaka adds. "I mean, you're working so hard to stay on top at school, and you've got your... Uh, other duties to deal with, and that's got to be stressful. I think you just need to take it easy for awhile, give yourself time to recover. You only got out of the hospital a week ago, right?"

"I agree,"Hitomi chimes in. "You do much more than any girl in your position should have to. You need to think about yourself too."

Perhaps they are right; you do do too much, and focus too little on yourself. But, they don't understand how hard it is to want to focus on yourself, not when Madoka is still in danger. "Actually, Sayaka, if we're talking about me doing too much..." You hate to do this to her, but taking care of Madoka comes before taking care of Kyousuke Kamijou. "... I'm sorry, but something has come up. We won't be able to go to the hospital after school today."

"What? Why?"

"It's related to my... Responsibilities, if you will. The senior-most members of Mitakihara and Shirome are convening tonight after school, and I have been invited to serve as the second for Mitakihara's representative." It isn't entirely true, but you don't want to scare them - Madoka especially - with talk of a convening war council and the threat of Mitakihara becoming the battleground for two warring factions of masters and servants. "The meeting and my role as the Mitakihara representative's second were decided last week, but I was only informed that the meeting would be tonight after school a few minutes ago."

"Again, Sayaka, I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience."

"Nah, it's cool Homura, I get it. Sometimes stuff happens. You had another commitment." Miki Sayaka's face betrays her. She clearly isn't happy about the delay, but she knows there isn't anything she can do about it. "We'll try again some other time, right?"

"Assuming all goes well tonight, we should be able to visit the hospital tomorrow."

"So, hey... About this meeting- Is it like, invite-only, or can anyone come if they're... You know, one of you?"

"Miki Sayaka, I honestly hope that you aren't insinuating that you plan on making a contract just so you can crash tonight's meeting." Sayaka is
uncharacteristically quiet, but her guilty expression says it all.

"Sayaka-san, this meeting is clearly important to Akemi-san. You shouldn't be thinking such selfish thoughts."

"Thank you, Hitomi," you say. Please, continue to keep Sayaka's exuberance in check whenever possible. "Now, can we get off the subject? I don't mean to derail lunch by talking at length about this."

"That's perfectly understandable, Akemi-san."

Hello Shero. How are you Today?

Your name is Emiya Shirou. Shirou, Luvia, not Shero; how many times have we been over this?

You sigh; it doesn't matter right now. What matters is preparing for the worst-case scenario of the lady Kure having summoned a servant that you aren't equipped to handle. Saber, Assassin, or Berserker... Frankly, any one of them could be a challenge to overcome; even a Saber with strong enough parameters could overwhelm you in spite of your class advantage. And either an Assassin or a Berserker working alongside that team... You shudder to think of the damage they could do with someone like Heracles on their side.

Frankly, you are not looking forward to the coming days.

Do you

Do you think the floating labyrinth could be reality marble? I've reality some strange reality marbles and if this is one then its actually one of the less crazy ones. For Example Iskander the King of of Conquerers had a reality marble that summoned all his soldiers in to it. Each one of them was comparable to a low level Heroic spirit. What do you think? Here's a memory of Iskander deploying his reality marble.

To be honest, you aren't sure what to make of the situation regarding the moving labyrinth. For as lost as your master must be in a battle between servants, you're similarly lost in this city run by puella magi. Their magic operates on a wholly unique set of principles from the magecraft that you're familiar with, and witches are unlike anything you've ever encountered. True, you're no stranger to the concept of a reality marble - and you can't deny how similiar the concept of a reality marble seems to be to that of a witch's labyrinth - but superficial resemblances don't translate into a working knowledge of the unknown when that unknown spits in your face every time you try to understand it.

So yes, it's entirely possible that the mobile labyrinth is a reality marble, and the nameless shade within a servant, likely an Assassin; but they could also be a witch and her labyrinth, or some other as-yet unknown concept that just happens to be part and parcel to this world.

You decide to take news of the development regarding Kirika's new servant to your allies. Well, ally. Even if they aren't outright your enemies, you aren't yet sure if you can count Sakura Kyouko and Rider among your allies just yet.

True to form, Gilgamesh is several steps ahead of you. "I have seen it," he says, almost immediately after you relay your news. You have the feeling that he was just being polite, allowing you to speak first. "Alas, as with the nameless shade of Kazamino, the servant of Kure Kirika is one whom I cannot identify."

"What do you mean?" That's twice now that Gilgamesh's Sight has been unable to pierce the veil of the unknown... That's probably not a good sign if not even a Noble Phantasm of precognition can't penetrate their concealment.

"I see a shadow of a man who has thrown away his pride and nobility and now wallows in bloodlust. I see a sword, once pure, tainted with oathbreaking and betrayal. I see a man who once wore the form of a legend, but that legend has been stained with sin and reduced to the state of a mad dog. The sight of I, the King, allows me to see these things. But I cannot make out a lineage to that nobility, nor see the sword before its tainting, nor know the legend whose form he wore before the fall."

"All I see are black shadows wrapped around a form of pure malice."

You aren't entirely sure you understand. From Gilgamesh's description, it sounds like Kure Kirika has summoned a Berserker. His vivid portrayal of a great hero fallen to betrayal and bloodlust would certainly fit the bill to qualify a heroic spirit to be the servant of madness. But, is it truly a Berserker with ranks in Presence Concealment? Is that even possible? Or is there some other ability at work here obscuring the enemy servant from Gilgamesh's Sight?

At any rate, from Gilgamesh's description it at least sounds like you won't have to deal with Heracles again. You can't help but give a sigh of relief to that.

You can't say, and that's what's really bothering you right now. You thank Gilgamesh for his information, as cryptic as it always is, and make your way to Kazamino. Even if Sakura Kyouko cannot be counted among your allies just yet, she is not an enemy, and is equally at risk of this new servant as any other in the area.

"That's a good thing, way I see it." Her response couldn't have been further from what you were expecting. "See, if they all kill each other off in their little turf war 'o theirs, then that leaves me free to come in and claim it all for myself."

"You would let innocents die to expand your territory?"

"Mami ain't innocent; no puella magi is. An' if I can expand my own territory - meanin' I have more room ta hunt witches, an' thus keep myself alive for a little longer - then yeah, I'd let'em die. Deep down they're all out for themselves, same as me. I'm just a little more honest about it."

You look to Rider, hoping to find some measure of sympathy to your cause in his hawk-like eyes, to find in him someone who might be able to sway his master to a more compassionate position. But there is nothing; nothing but barely-contained joy at the prospect of battle yet to come. Wordlessly, you depart. You aren't sure that you want to place your trust in Sakura Kyouko anymore. You'll have to speak with your master before you let your own judgements about her decide for you. She's probably got more experience dealing with that girl than anyone else.

You make your way to a high vantage point in an attempt to locate possible places where Kirika's servant may be hiding, but your thoughts are elsewhere and you find concentration to be difficult. What - who - could Berserker be that would grant him the power to conceal himself from Gilgamesh's Noble Phantasm of precognition? What happened to Sakura Kyouko to make her so callous towards others?

And most importantly, what's going to happen when everything that's been building up until now reaches its climax?

[ ] Wat do?

Kure's Servant? One of the servants that I know matches Gilgamesh's Description is Sir Lancelot Du Lac as a Berserker.

The only other one I remember is Angra Maiyu.... Yes that one.

Noble Phantasm.

False Copy of Inscribed Creation
Rank:
D
Type: Anti-Unit
Verg Avesta.
Zoroastrian Scriptures - Asterisk counterfeit.
A primitive curse that directly returns the wounds one has received to the opponent.
...that sounds good and all, but because he himself may end up dying before activating this Noble Phantasm upon receiving a mortal wound, it won't be activated unless he can't "receive a wound that barely doesn't kill him".
Avenger alone cannot triumph against his enemy, so a partner that would defeat the enemy in his place after he uses this Noble Phantasm becomes necessary.
His Noble Phantasm can't be blocked. It would pierce through all defenses.

Not sure if it can pierce Avalon though. Actually it should be impossible to pierce Avalon

Best case scenario is that It could also be a Shadow Servant. But when was the last time the best case scenario actually happened?

Shadow Servants are weaker copies of Servants. They have all the same attacks, skills, and traits, but substantially less Vitality and no Noble Phantasm.

Anyway hope you find this useful.

Damn. Seems that SV plays pokemon is taking a bit of your time

It's a combination of factors, really. SVPP is much heavier on the number crunching than on the narrative most of the time, so all I have to do is whip out my spreadsheet and a calculator and it's easy enough to throw together a few posts after I get home from work. This, on the other hand, requires much more narrative focus, so if work has me drained and I can't think straight to type something satisfactory, then we're SOL. Additionally, I'm not the biggest fan of going forward on only one or two people, not when we usually can garner a few more votes during the off hours. I did it, albeit reluctantly, when @mCooperative was still with us because I would usually get a decent chunk of explanation to go with things and that helped, but he seems to have vacated his part in things here.

And that's another part of it- A lot of the regular crew only shows up at night, so at least in the case of yesterday, I thought that if I waited until morning there would be more. Apparently I was mistaken. Last night was just an all-around combination of all of the above and that did me no good. SVPP, on the other hand, is just mindless math most of the time following a story that everyone memorized twenty years ago.

Lastly, I like to keep engaged with my players, and the fact that there's more people over at SVPP who are active when I'm active means that more of my time is spent there, as opposed to here when the majority of my players seem to be more active through the stretch of sleep->work.

So, my apologies if you were expecting to find a post. I've got a long weekend ahead so hopefully I'll get more votes and be able to come through for you guys.

No. No, I'm sorry; I should have been more patient

I've been really busy last few days and haven't had much time to think of and craft a vote for such an open-ended situation. Apologies. I think you have been doing a great job of keeping up the pace and making a new post whenever you get enough votes though. Thanks for the good work!

Okay, so I've got a basic intimation that you guys want to see how things are going on Homura's end, but see, I'm still a little stuck on how to pick back up from where Archer left off, so let me know if you want to continue on with the current school day, or whether you want to timeskip right to the meeting. I'll have a better idea of where to go from there.

Day 7 Chapter 6
[X] switch perspective to Homura

Your name is Akemi Homura. Lunch has ended, and now afternoon classes are in full swing. Up next is PE. You've changed into your gym clothes and, along with the others, made your way to the track to join in the day's exercises, when the sharp trill of the PE instructor's whistle catches you off guard.

"Akemi! What do you think you're doing?" the instructor shouts, chasing you down as soon as she sees you making your way onto the track.

"I am joining the rest of my class in the day's exercises, instructor," you reply.

"No you're not. Kaname told me about your stay with nurse Ortensia. Said you've been feeling lightheaded recently. You're going to sit today out, understand?"

You feel perfectly fine; it isn't as though your heart is capable of bothering your puella magi body, but there's no sense attempting to explain that to the instructor. She would just think you're going through a chunnibyou phase and not listen any further. "I understand," you reply, taking your leave of the others to sit in the shade of a nearby tree.

And that's where you are now, watching your classmates do laps while you sit in solitude, occupied by nothing more than your thoughts. You see Madoka break formation to go talk to the instructor, and moments later she's making her way over to you with a water bottle. "You looked like you were getting lonely, Homura-chan, so I asked the instructor if I could join you."

Madoka offers you the water bottle, which you accept with a smile. "Thank you Madoka, but you didn't have to do that if you didn't want to."

"No, no, I wanted to," she replies, taking a seat beside you. "I don't like seeing my friends sitting by themselves. And besides..." Her hands finds its way to yours as she sits, and her fingers intertwine with yours. "... I think Homura-chan doesn't mind if it's me, right?"

Madoka's hand is warm against your flesh, but despite how comforting her touch feels, you pull your hand away, to Madoka's confusion. "I... I should apologize for saying what I did last night. It was wrong of me to impose myself onto you the way I did." You bring your knees up to your chest, handing the water bottle back to Madoka as you look away from her. "Please... Forget that I said anything."

"Homura-chan?"

"Please, Madoka... You shouldn't force yourself to try and love me just to spare me from rejection. I... I don't want you to be in a relationship you aren't happy to be in. So please... Forget that I ever said anything to you. Find someone that you can love because you want to love him, and not because you feel compelled to."

"Homura-chan! Don't say things like that!" You aren't looking, but Madoka's arms wrapping themselves around your body tell you everything you need to know. "It's true; I barely know you, but..." Madoka forcefully spins you around, until you and she are staring eye to eye. "... But I meant what I said last night. The person that I like the most is you, Homura-chan. I don't feel like I'm forcing myself to do something I don't want to; I want to get to know you because I want to love you, not because I feel I have to."

"And actually, I should be the one apologizing to you. I'm so physical towards all of my friends; I never stopped to think of how you might interpret that, but I don't mind at all how things have turned out. You're so smart, and cool, and pretty..." Madoka gives you a smile, one bigger than any you think she's given you before. "You're exactly the kind of boy I always wanted to marry, Homura-chan. Only, you're not a boy. And I... I'm okay with that."

"You... The fact that we're both girls doesn't bother you?"

Madoka shakes her head. "Why would it? The fact that you're Homura-chan matters more to me than your gender. The person I like most isn't a boy or a girl; it's Homura-chan. Just Homura-chan."

Madoka... Why? Why is she so good to you? Why does she think you deserve to love her? You've never been able to answer these questions, no matter how much thought you've put into them. Not once in the countless loops have you ever found a single satisfactory answer.

"You said that you can't love me until you know more about me, right?" Madoka nods as she once again situates herself beside you, intertwining her hand with yours. "Very well, what would you like to know?"

"Everything. I want to know everything that Homura-chan is willing to share with me."

What do you tell Madoka about ?
[ ] Your parents

Parents and childhood are things of the distant past, long forgotten, both hobbies and interests are clearly Madoka, and things that are sad are mainly related to Madoka dying.
PE feels like a weird setting for past loops, and atmosphere isn't right unless we go for Things that make you sad followed by some other depressing conversation topic.

Okay, so, out of three votes we have six out of eight possible actions chosen, with only one matching pair between them. I hope @Astra Myst comes in with a tiebreaker or else you guys are going to have to hash this out amongst yourselves.

Alternatively, if after every one of the regulars has voted and there's still no clear winner, what I'll do is take the three most common topics and combine them into one vote, even if they're spread out over three or four, so @Jaune Pendragon, maybe you want to add two more topics to your post as well?

Astra, don't feel compelled to give a tiebreaker vote if you don't like the topics of conversation in any of the other choices. I'll find a way to make this work one way or another, whether I have to wait an extra day or so for you guys to hash things out, or whether I have to cobble together a compromise vote myself.
