I find the fact that someone's doing a twenty-fifth century take on a ballet at the same time that some 25th century time travelers are in town suspiciously coincidental

you're right, that's an anachronism worth about seven years, and it's on the wrong continent to boot

When's the Neir: Automata stage play set? 250,000 CE?
(Though its hard to tell what is lies, what is in setting weirdness, and what is genre convention in that game.)

I have no idea whats best in this case, but I will say one thing:

[X] Prevent any outcome where Tomoyo puts that hair pin on Clarisse

what about 24th century FA haught cultur?
is "haught cultur" a special phrase that means something specific? google doesn't suggest meaningful interpretations...
With regards to FA styles, it's harder to say. The excesses of the hyperclass excesses are covered, to be sure, but onboard materials don't really document costuming conventions quite to this level. It'd be a little bit of research even if you had 24th century network access.

[✓] Prevent any outcome where Tomoyo puts that hair pin on Clarisse
To be pedantic, are you really concerned about the person putting it on being Tomoyo specifically, or do you seek more generally to remain safely in Mitakihara, Spring 2011, by assuring that this pin remains not on your head?

I've got no idea on other matters this time around.
To be fair, the question of where where we stand on "chase after these Shenanigans™ with a hairpin" vs "run away from the future" is sort of the crux of this updoot.

tfw nobody sees what you did there

[-] Discover an interest in fashion-fantasy design. Or not. Either way, it's a wonderful distraction.
[a] Ask about the production, to have more information to work with
[l] Compare with internal fashion database (Ceph War, Haute Coutre, etc)
-[c] Compare Window-dress with internal fashion database
[h] Try on the dress
-[o] Respond with general positivity, and if models approve, with appropriate specifics.
--[l] Point out that trends lead to the future being more casual and clothing being less and less of a status and position signifier, not more.
[!] LEAVE THE RIBBON AND HAIRPIN ALONE FOR TEN FUCKING MINUTES.

Man, I don't know where and why people are, or time clones, or whatever. Why is Simona in the past with Ryouko's girl? This is bonkers. We're going to do more time-jumping then Chrono Trigger if this keeps spreading.

Edit: Stole most of my favorite bits, and added in my own sub-sub-sub-sub clause I feel was not getting enough attention. Family bonding is a go!

Updating my vote and posting for relevance.

I'm not going to make anyone condense their votes, but if you guys don't start condensing your votes a little better, some of your votes are going to end up on the floor just by mistake. Indeed, it's possible it's already happened. :)

[4] Talk fashion / costume design

-[1] to get closer to Tomoyo
-[1] ask about her teenage adventures in costuming

-[4] Seek to learn more about the production
(including "Why 25th century?")
-[2] supply positivity, and genuine feedback

[4] Try on the dress
-[1] (+2 -1) then add the ribbon and hairpin, just for fun™
--[1] experiment to see if it works with just-ribbon first
--[1] coordinate with Ryouko to question future-Clarisse while you're out

- - (these two conditional on using the ribbon at all)
[2] avoid having Tomoyo (specifically) put the pin on Clarisse
[2] Attempt a tactical retreat

[2] resolve to ask Yuuka for a ribbony analysis
[1] go for the alcohol

"Yukari-san," you say, "just one more important question before you go — who is Nadeshiko?"

"Oh, she's the new transfer student," says Yukari, jingling. "She's super pretty, her hair's totally like this long," — she gestures down just below her knees — "but really shy. It's so funny. Tomoyo-chan always knows just exactly how to tease her. Just says something nice about her. It's super fun."

Would that be Daidoji Tomoyo?

@RubberBandMan @Nolrai @tapkomet
Vote is now X% more concise.

[X] Talk fashion / costume design
-[X] Get closer to Tomoyo
-[X] Seek to learn more about the production
-[X] Supply positivity, and genuine feedback
--[X] Trends lead to the future being more casual and clothing being less of a status symbol
[X] Try on the dress
[X] Standing Directive: Coordinate with Ryouko to question future-Clarisse whenever you're at risk of being out.
// Optional addendum
[X] Put on hairpin and/or ribbon if and only if requested.
// OR
[ ] DO NOT put on ribbon: polite refusal

I'm being outvoted on applying the ribbon, so I am updating my vote to reflect my thoughts on when we don't use it, as well as compacting it a bit

[X] help shizuki tomoyo and try on the dress
-[X] then add the ribbon and hairpin, just for fun™
--[X] but only in private with Ryouko
---[X] While doing it, see if it's confirmed the pin is unnecessary
---[X] Leave message for future Clarisse to record info on implants for us

But, seeing as we are apparently not doing that, I think we prefer future with Simona saving us over something unknown:

[X] propose changes based on what you saw in the future

[X] Talk to Tomoyo about where she got the idea about 25-th century specifically
[X] Talk to Tomoyo about how she views us and Ryouko
-[X] Try to get closer to her

We should probably consolidate around the summarized vote options.

I think I'm basically fine right now. On a separate note, I think you're supposed to remove X-s from quotes, otherwise it'll count as your vote
It doesn't seem to have done that in this case:

The tally should ignore anything in quotes, including other instances of the tally. Glitches do happen sometimes, however. (Also, when you select vote tally, it shows you the last tally someone did. You have to tell it to run again to get a current one.)

I did that. You can see when the tally was run at the top of the quote box.
