I like PMMM and TTS for being more serious unlike weirdness in common MG works. So we might be thinking of different works as I DON'T remember TTS being same kind of crack fic like this.

The difference between the kitty and the old lady is that having a kitty in your little group has the potential to bring people together, and make everyone in the crew closer than ever, whereas helping the old lady is something that would bring you together better if you went out and did it yourselves.
pls... Araragi-san would have to be more of a vampire for things to make sense, and I'm not writing that; we don't have vampires in these parts and we don't need them. It really would be crack.

Postscript: you know what else i'm not writing that would be crack? If the cat came back but as Hitomi's dance instructor, and then Hitomi came home from her dance lesson crying, because Nekosensei insisted on marrying her.

It appears that she is an adorable black kitty-cat named Amy who is still somewhat shy but better-fed and in a position to appreciate head rubs. If it's consistent with someone's aesthetic of coolness to have a cat on the team running spy missions, I think we all know who that someone is.

I'm thinking that this work has same level of sanity as typical crack fic. Except it uses said... level of sanity both for funny bits and for horror bits. We need to work hard to prevent tragedy and be Magical Girl Goddess knows we can be!

*one police man drew according to description images of Nanami, Homura, Ryouko and Clarrisse. Search started for them as witnesses*
*cafe bar scene, smoke from cigarettes is so thick you can't see another end of room, in one corner of room are four figures with black trench coats, sunglasses and fedora hats to hide identity*

We have two possible "good" ends out there.
Madoka apotheosis, possibly with some way for Homu-homu to be in contact with her without dying? Or general fix for Homura's long term stability problem that won't erase all the knowledge of Goddess existing from the universe.
Or! We can one-up Incubators and fix the universe, preventing entropy from having it's iron grip on everything.

Well, without tipping my hand too far, I'll just say that I have my doubts about the kitty being able to find Homura quickly enough to trigger the utility of that condition. Especially after stopping to feed the kitty.
