Greenbay = our current location
Rockbay = coast to our west
Upriver Plains = southeast along the river
Sunrise Bay = coast to our east
Sunset Plains = southwest between our current location and the forest
Sunrise Plains = plains to our east

Pretty much. The names aren't too original, but I wanted to make them easy to place by the voters.

[X] [MAIN] New Settlement = Rockbay

well they have crude rope now so why not get something like flint or other rocks to make tools like axes or hammers wonder if some will make bone needles

@Oshha
question do they use sinew now or does hunting need to increased to use it

its the tissue that connects the bone and musscle
one use of it as rope, bowstring and to bind arrowhead or clubhead and etc

It gets used in bows, arrows and spears and some other tools, but your hunters won't be bringing in enough sinew to replace straw rope.

Basically, they know of it, but the People don't have a high enough quantity of it for it replace straw rope.

I'm using Europe as a basis and while I am willingly call your climate temperate, I wouldn't quite call it continental as that wouldn't count British biomes. So your immediate area is temperate Europe, but like the weather, climate is one of those things I'm not tracking too closely due to lack of knowledge on my part and not having time to research things too extensively. I will generally be using real life as the initial basis and working from there.
So there should be vines somewhere, but not in great abundance. Creeper plants like it wetter
... do we need to find a way for forresting cause you need wood for boat right?
The main problem at this era is not getting wood but shaping it. Working wood with bone tools ruins them too quickly.

Eh, realistic names anyways
its the tissue that connects the bone and musscle
one use of it as rope, bowstring and to bind arrowhead or clubhead and etc
As rope goes its even more expensive than vines due to the difficulties and risks of hunting. You'd see almost all of it go towards maintaining hunting equipment.

Straw ropes are standard worldwide because they basically use rubbish to make useful stuff. Makes good flooring, sandals, rope, etc for stuff you normally need to throw away.

@Oshha
just a thought would adding settlement increased actions?
Yes, but it would take repeated New Settlements or a change in economy/government.
Province Actions: 1 Secondary Action per 2 Provinces
+1 Secondary Action per 2 Provinces
You start getting bonuses from provinces once they are halfway to being fully settled at 6 settlements.

So there should be vines somewhere, but not in great abundance. Creeper plants like it wetter

There should be, but I won't confirm anything as being true until you discover it IC.

You'd see almost all of it go towards maintaining hunting equipment

This is currently the case.

We still need to go for the river along the plains too.

I would like to point out that Forrest Folks are on the west of us just like Rockbay
I also think that new settlement will be ideal but maybe to avoid intimidating our neighbors due to us getting closer on their lands, I suggest taking a much more free space on the east.
From all that we know they might see us growing closer their "borders" as a sign on potential threat.
That's why I suggest that as of now we will take Sunrise Bay instead of Rockbay, it will not risk us raising some tension between our tribes.
After all we are yet to make official contact with them, and if our first official interaction going to be us expanding near their territory, I can assure you they will be less than optimistic about us being neighbors.
With that being said:
[X] [MAIN] New Settlement = Sunrise Bay

Don't get me wrong. I want Rockbay to belong to us just as much as you want it.
I just suggest that we should grow a little bit more by using more free lands on the east before we come closer to a different tribe.
It's better to first power up ourselves with free stuff before we get closer to another tribe that might want to shun us away.
It was said they are xenophobic and rather territorial so it might be a good idea to not settle our first new settlement near them.
I suggest grabbing Rockbay as our 2nd or third settlement, and preferably after we make contact with the Forrest Folks.

Yes they are territorial
But I don't think it extends to the coast
The coast is our territory and we should ensure that it is known to be that way. I think the treefolk only care about the trees as theirs. Hence the name.
More importantly the treefolk are known to stick to themselves so I think it's the opposite. We'd be safer there because we have yet to explore anything to our east. We went down the river and got our info off the lowlands, it's entirely possible there are mountain tribes that may be inclined to threaten us more so then the tree fo- screw it imma call em the triphic people.

Also op I have a question
If 2 settlements=+1 sec. Then 4 settlements =+2 sec. 2 sec = 1 main
If we have 4 settlements can we have another main action?

EDIT: I meant provinces instead of settlements my mistake.

The People have a good idea of local area and where they can safely expand. It will take some significant amount of expansion by the People to reach the borders of any other civs.

Next turn, I will put into some target directions for the Explore action and some target locations for the New Settlement action.

As you can see QM pretty much said that we don't have to worry about it.
We are pretty much expanding in safe zone here.
