[X][Epic] A young member of the People proves themselves to be charming and uniting. (Diplo Hero)
[X][Bonus] Gain Legacy Ancient Centre of Civilisation (Great Bay)
[X][SEC] Sunrise Mountain Passage
[X][SEC] Create New Trails.

I would either take the diplo-hero to de-escalate our new vassal from suicidal stupidity so we can properly assimilate them in the fullness of time, or a cultural hero who would hopefully use the epic age as a pounce pad for something great.

[X] [Epic] One of the priests proves to be naturally talented with the numbers and records. (Gain an Admin Hero)
[X] [Epic] One of the priests proves themselves to be skilled with the teachings and magics of the goddesses. (Mystic Hero)
[X] [Bonus] Gain Legacy Ancient Centre of Civilisation (Great Bay)
[X] [SEC] Support Subordinate = Maradysh
[X] [SEC] Sunrise Mountain Passage

[X][Epic] A genius rises amongst the People, outshine their peers with their intelligence. (Tech Hero)

You know, I was planning on voting in such a way that ensured we satisfied our factions while at the same time not falling behind on important projects.

[X] [Bonus] Put Sunrise Mountain Passage on automatic action track (Will gain +1 Progress each turn with no action cost, but you will still need to stat costs).
[X] [SEC] Sacred Forest
[X] [SEC] Stone Wall
Then I realised I could have literally all of the megaprojects, at the small cost of all our food and actions the next few centuries.

So, we literally can't afford that for more than one turn. So unless you intend to stop one of the mega-projects next turn and get some econ going, we'll end up negative on econ, starving, and not doing mega-projects.

A Diplo Hero will just be a temporary patch for our vassal issues. They're just too different to us right now and we need them to change, or we may end up changing instead and that'd be bad.

[X] [Epic] One of the People proves themselves to be an excellent crafter and storyteller. (Culture Hero)

True, thousands of innocent people are going to die, which will likely at best result in a civil war tearing everything apart.

But on the other hand, we get three mega-projects at once! That's bound to be worth a legacy! Maybe one that allows us to sacrifice pop to build stuff faster...

I mean... that would be pretty cool. But also, we could instead just get 2 going, and actually be able to finish them. Then, maybe in future, when we have another action, we can get 3 mega-projects going at once, and actually afford it. That would definitely be worth a legacy. Especially once we finish them all.

I see the the guys who worship a Goddess of rebellion and chaos to be a resource sink, would rather keep them at arms length than come on too strong;y and cause friction during this opportunity to heal.

The idea of building three monuments at the same time must be one of the worst pyramid schemes I have ever heard of.

Higher hierarchy means that it becomes harder and harder for the average person to meaningfully interact with anyone of any importance to the civilization as a whole.
It shows an ever widening gap between the people of our civilization and those who rule over them. (not helped by the fact that we now have a single essentially unaccountable ruler)
I'd argue this is a necessary consequence of ruling a wider area. The question is whether the positive results justify it; in our case it does, since we have to rule/manage far-flung vassal states from a centralized seat of power.

It is "necessary" if you wish to rule high swathes of land from a centralized location using a singular unilateral ruler, yes. That doesn't mean it is an inevitable consequence of a wide build though. Plus, we are clearly not that wide, with very few settlements (even with our vassals) and said vassals being either close by (the Midlanders) or about to be completely connected (the Merntir). I would say that our current levels of hierarchy are necessary and in fact detrimental to our civ (or at least the people making up most of our civ).
I feel like there was a much better way to ask for a map.

You could, for example, tag @Oshha in your post. You could also use a complete sentence such as "would it be possible for us to get a new map, considering the changes in the polities landscape?"

Green = Arthwyd
Blue = Merntir
Purple = Maradysh
Red = Walking Dead
Yellow = Lowlanders?
The Maradysh are actually closer to us than the Merntir, even more so considering we can get to them simply by going down the river in a boat.
Speaking of them @Oshha, did any of the Maradysh have any stories to tell about the winged beasts on the giant mountain?

I like the little dot of green in the mountains denoting our little mountain camp the sunrise passage goes to/through. Definitely dislike how much red in there. Looking forward to being able to clear all that out.
