This is gonna cut close. In terms of not coming on top, but just making it through this intact. Battered and bruised, but still intact.

Sad that we never ended up exploring the mountains before our demise.
On a more serious note, if we do end up living through this we're going to get some amazing legacies. We'd have survived a horde of rampaging boar-human hybrids led by the foremost military mind to date in tandem with the undead necromancer incarnation of evil in our reality.

i am just really happy that we didn´t go for the civil war otherwise i don´t think our civ would even have a chance at survival.

We have to deal with a immortal undead that is in our eyes The Evil and that means he has alot of very nasty tricks and if it gets really bad his undead army is going to give us a certain gift.
I am not even sure if we can fight him or if the best we can do is roll over at just let him kill our people and hope he goes away after that.

We can use fire arrows to try and force him back. The dieases might screw us over though. We need as many people as possible to keep our nation alive, if we simply roll over and let him kill us, he may not show mercy and reap us all to bolster his army before heading down south. We shouldnt risk it.

Why is everyone acting like we can't win. This isn't going to be the nomads again the army he will be bringing with him is likely the last of the Lowland's capable troops and we never committed everything to the war against Vervov. Along side the two war innovations and centralized command under a Martial Hero we have a pretty good shot right now.

So I guess the vote for relying on the goddesses wasnt a good idea after all huh? I wonder what would had been if we study the magic.

Personally, i think we could've avoided all this by going for a standing army back when that first became possible. Right now we're limited to guerrilla warfare, which is good for resisting occupying forces but bad for preventing yourself getting occupied in the first place.
Edit: With a standing army we could simply drown Urth in bodies; there's a limit to how fast he and a few lackeys can kill. Also, we could actually fight against the boarfolk instead of hiding in the forests skirmishing with them.

Quantity, my friends. The Devil is on the side of bigger reserves.

If we did it all the way after the merntir war, yeah we could have built it up into something better.
To be honest I think we still have a shot at winning.
If we beat back urth, and then do the same to the nomads, we get the trait legendary defenders due to winning three defensive wars. It'll be hard and costly, but we can still pull this off guys.

good joke.
We HATE him and pretty much everything he represents.

Even without Sacred War we would not talk with him, he is that bad in view of our civ.

also our relationship with the boarfolk:
Boarfolk Nomads = Got to kill them all/War/Invaded

i think we know all what value we will get out of this after we are done with them ...

@Oshha Is it possible for us to organise a few skilled people, put them on a boat and send them off to the west to rebuild far away? Basically a successor civ if we end up dying.

Personally I think that's a dumb idea You'd need to send several hundred people to accomplish something like that and we don't have long distance ships just canoes and rafts. To many resources for something that may not be needed.

Oshha said that we can win this.
Can does not mean will; bad rolls and/or bad decisions on our part could still doom us.
If we do end up doing it we'll probably end up with some really interesting legacies. A mass exodus of our people from a cataclysmic war, done to preserve our society and way of life.

He also insightful-ed my post about this being the last of the lowlanders capable troops which makes sense since their civilizational collapse happened only a bit ago. They have not recovered enough to sustain a campaign like Vervov was so one battle in our favor and we win. Really the worst case scenarios are that they pass Nightmare's Gift on to us or Urth's magic is extremely powerful.
