And or rolls? Can does not mean will; bad decisions on our part could still doom us.

Thank you, I've edited this in.
Would an undead hero be harmed by actually setting them on fire? I feel a burning, animated skeleton would be enough to defeat the boarfolk by simple intimidation. We need to turn one of our own Martial Heroes into an undead, fight fire with fire.
They may be the last left of their troops, but led by an immortal necromancer hero I'd expect them to be difficult to put down permanently. He also insightful-ed my post about this being the last of the lowlanders capable troops which makes sense since their civilizational collapse happened only a bit ago. They have not recovered enough to sustain a campaign like Vervov was so one battle in our favor and we win. Really the worst case scenarios are that they pass Nightmare's Gift on to us or Urth's magic is extremely powerful.
@Oshha Is it possible for us to organise a few skilled people, put them on a boat and send them off to the west to rebuild far away? Basically a successor civ if we end up dying.
This situation is what you call a "Do or Die"
Good, good, no retreat possible and famine is coming soon.
IIRC Oshha mentioned that Urth was going after us because we were the most populous civ.
No, they can mobilise more people to fight due to their way of life but in terms of population they have less.
Depending on how they established themselves, the various nomad tribes may be fighting among each other as the rebellion is going on, since they don't see themselves as a cohesive whole. No, they can mobilise more people to fight due to their way of life but in terms of population they have less.

Unless the new boarfolk hero is the son of Vervov or something, in which case you should disregard this post

Son.... or reincarnation?
Stop giving the QM ideas, people.
So in the Thunderdome we have:
Boarfolk Martial Hero; grandson of Vervov the Scourge
Merntir Martial Hero: Freedom fighter of Arthryn
Lowlands Martial/Mystic Hero: Urth the Undying
Arthwyd Martial Hero: Evelyn; Greatest of the People (TM)
Four go in, who knows how many will come out?
Generations of war, oceans of blood, thousands of dead...For Every Inch, Make Them Pay.Honestly loving all this.
We, despite damn near every foreign martial hero deciding to drag us down into their collective mud-pit, are in a good place for next turn.
We will have restored stats from the turn replenishment, a martial hero-king leading the defense against FOUL NECROMANCY and planning the Merntir Reconquest against the FILTHY SWINEFOLK, shiny new mil tech custom designed for guerilla warfare and defense, and a new Martial hero entirely focused on deleting swinefolk nomads from their ancestral home.
In addition we will have actions that can be spent building palisades or training warriors.
In conclusion, we have not lost yet. WE HAVE NOT YET BEGUN TO FIGHT.
I had forgotten about Cadyn; Son of the Merentir
