They now know why QA is...atypical. She is the most well adjusted for polite society in her entire hometown. To bad she is from AtrosCity...

and damn Taylor/namless girl, making icecream dispencers next to the puppypunting area... just damn...

I'm lost where and when is this happening? I thought last we knew (Taylor) was in the dorm rooms so how is QA talking and assisting her?

I really hope they can get a hold oh some symbiotic style cores. The results would be fascinating. I wonder if the 4d messages were quotes from the ancestor in DD?

Though I guess we can say Symbie and Taylor are different entities now.

Well......I am not even sure how people are going to react to....that.
I mean, it's pretty easy to conclude that someone's fucking with them just with the fake cores. Probably not the only conclusion since they have transhuman think-tanks and can consider all the possibilities but it'd would definitely rank highly, especially when it's taken into account that the only point of consistency is the emotions of the observers.

Save the trauma woobie.
Why? You can just ask her, and she herself would be the first to tell you that her status is adequate. It's not like repeating the question would have her insisting the same thing over and over as she gets worked up about it for some reason as though she really doesn't want to be thought incapable of living up to demands, right? Perish the thought.

I think people are supposed to conclude that the cultists are obsessed over the cores and just went all the crazier when they got a real one. That, and the fakes might not necessarily actually stay fake, or at least stay sufficiently fake to tell such.

I think the valkaries might find that almost worse in a way. Being literally the most evil cult is one thing.

Being literally the most evil just to emotionally attack whoever found the remains?

And if the think tank concludes that's the case...

Who would be the most likely to find the hideout? An escapee. The think tank might conclude the atrocity pile up might be a way to deter dissent in the cult.

Basically, "Do not run away, or everyone you know will murder themselves in the worst ways, and their deaths will be YOUR fault."

they'd been forced to fight each other in what might've been some sort of twisted weapons test. Stab wounds, hypothermia, laser and plasma burns, Impeller Field shearing, blunt force trauma, wasp stings,
I spent entirely too long trying to decide whether the stings were delivered by holding the wasps between the fingers and punching the opponent, by carefully gluing/strapping them to the knuckles, or just throwing handfuls of wasps and hoping.
Ugh, is this how some authors feel when critics get it wrong? 'No, the old lady crushed by a falling pillar was not supposed to represent the loss of wisdom after the Roman Republic fell; she was collateral damage because rebel scum were gleefully destroying the Evil Empire's infrastructure.'
I mean, that is clearly a gender struggle metaphor, with the pillar representing masculinity fatally oppressing women.

...At least try the ice cream before you move on..
It's barely evil at all! And only slightly eldritch.

Checklist of atrocities indeed. Puppypunting field?

Yeah I don't think that this is going to fly. The posthuman analysts that will look at this are sure to figure out that someone is ****ing with them.

Not quite. There are far FAR too many goodies, tech and weapons for it to just be someone fucking with them. Most likely they will conclude that the people in charge of the facility went nuts at one point.

... They're (supposedly) an Antagonist cult. I repeat: they worship alien invaders. What, exactly, would constitute 'going nuts' to them!?

Me, patiently waiting for QAylor's therapy session after all of this is reported.
"I know this may be a sensitive topic, but among all of your fellow subjects-"

"Siblings."

"Oh dear God why... of course, of all of your siblings, were there any that you had happy memories of?"

"...Shaper was nice to me. She agreed with my assessment that Broadcast was a waste of resources. Shaper did annoy me by making anomalous 'joke' statements that she refused to explain, but she would always apologize for the annoyance by sharing her techniques with me, such as the methodology by which to make Friends. I do not miss her... but, I do miss having an intellectual equal to compare data with..."
