I like how that implies that Friend Threat Assessment begins with their most powerful weaponry and then they work down until they find the right amount of firepower for the task at hand.
[Windy-Indigo Six] THREAD: Argue for Pure-chan and Symbie conspiracy theories!

AKA the silly s**t that got us banished in the first place. This thread exists purely for the sake of humor – if you actually want to be believed, then /V/acuous is not the board for you. Please do not debunk any theories; again, this is just for fun. We know it's nonsense.
As there appears to be a second Hebert and Pure-chan's actual name may not be Taylor, please use "Pure-chan," "Prime," "Administrator," or another short alias.
(Ignore the Jun-chan heretics, and seriously, let the Junko-chan name die. Obedient is not what we want to be calling anyone from that place.)
Less-Serious Popular Highlights:
Administrator is an AG Type Zero dedicated to infiltration.
Administrator is an AG Type Zero dedicated to diplomacy.
Administrator used to be a Valkyrie Core and/or Valkyrie Frame AI. ("Conspiracy" status disputed, but it's still fun to play with)
Administrator is an alien from the race responsible for originally making VCs.
Serious theories still under consideration (we should probably discuss these elsewhere):
Hell's Hand was controlled by an Infiltrator Type Zero.
Administrator was the former mayor of Hell's Hand.

Idea: Hells Hand, after Taylor got called out on going down the Horror Checklist, is an Insane Apurature Science Facility. Yes, I am aware that Apurature failed a their Sanity Checks.
(and now I'm wondering what a frame and/or Valkyrie on a Sugar High would look like...
Maybe that's how Taylor will act? Basically, a more random version of Dreamer.
(After the Mockary QAylor and Simbie have been making of their existing knowledge I could see them being somewhat resigned - and that she deserves some slack after what she's been through. They would lay down some ground rules, but so long as they are followed, and no one is hurt, she wouldn't be punished.))
anyone else think that Taylor would inflict Punz on the Valkyries? It would be Pun-ishment. Much to QA's dismay.
They're NOT Inflitrators, they're EXfil-traitors.
Which will explain why Decimator goes after her/them.
I think the author mentioned multiple times about it that she is unreliable narrator and fits everything to her worldview, but than again, he could be playing us, because I don't necessarily remember him outright saying it is wrong.

Like, the one used in Haachama Lore videos on YouTube? (I just don't know the title, but it's the one that seems to be a purely vocal chorus that just goes "la, la la, la la la~"; if you've seen any Haachama/Haato Lore videos, you'll know the exact one I'm referring to)
More like, Taylor's head on "Rose's" body, and vice versa.
I wish I made the suggestion (and connection) ages ago, when the first Hell's Hand exploration narratives came out. ChoirWaltz Loop 1 playing whilst the Valkyries explored the place would've added a layer of disturbing/unease...
In fact, I am going to go reread the Hell's Hand sections with ChoirWaltz Loop 1 playing. BRB. Here's to hoping Haachama doesn't take my head while I'm busy reading...
Hold It In is ... very OC. It really doesn't follow the stations of canon. So I wouldn't think of Hold it in Jaune as related to RWBY Jaune much except by name.
He still seems to be in a similar role, and is a bit harem protagonisty, which is kind of a thing for canon Jaune too. I would agree that if you are going to read a Jaune fic, then this it the one that I would recommend, but I feel that a warning that it is still a Jaune fic would not go entirely astray.
All that I am saying, is that Type Zeroes could cut through civilian comms any time that they like. There is no shortage of media in Antagonist space to examine. There are even independent communities with basically no security at all. Infiltrators and diplomats alike would have no reason to stick themselves right in the middle of valkyrie central other than to show off, and Admin doesn't strike me as a showboater. No, a far more reasonable conclusion is that she is a research model, here to study our aces and their technology. As can be plainly seen in this footage of her with Anna Sanchez, who, going by these soundbites, has been identifies as possessing peak combat potential. Surely I can't be the only one who has correctly identified those tentacles as examination tools?
Queen Administrator suspiciously stared at the entrance to an alleged therapist's office. Layers of metal plating added a conspicuous boxy bulge to the otherwise straight lines witnessed in the hall. Beneath that, a partial blackbody and continuous spacial warping served to further disguise the interior from Queen Administrator's sensors.
All those preparations could be intended to allow greater privacy — or Queen Administrator could be walking into a trap. The Crafting Club had implied that the UN wouldn't want to interrupt her first classes in favor of more time finding QA's weaknesses, but it was the first day of classes. They might still be covering content that Queen Administrator already knew or would not require.
Countermeasures would be necessary to help ensure QA's safety. She pulled a pair of Pegacorn-class Friends out of storage and gave each one a dozen beetle-based Acquaintances to act as backup.
<INSTRUCTIONS.>
<<AGREEMENT.>>
There. Now her Friends would know to call upon the Crafting Club and Anna if Queen Administrator did not countermand the order prior to the scheduled start of afternoon classes. It wasn't a perfect defense, but they could almost certainly manage an extraction or distraction.
Queen Administrator queued up the deployment of more Friends from Symbie's storage should it become necessary. With her preparations completed, QA pinged Perth's network and asked for the door to be opened.
Her misgivings and dread vanished as soon as the interior came into sight. Everything—the floors, furniture, ceiling—all of it was affected by varying degrees of spacial distortion. Recalibrating sensors to compensate for the distortion left her staring at decorative quasicrystal patterns, a number of items that connected to dimensional anomalies, and a room that was generally larger than the exterior implied.
The shard suppressed her reflexive urge to greet whatever :Newborn: was responsible for the room.
<CUTE!>
Addendum: Queen Administrator failed to suppress her reflexive urges. There was simply too much precedent accessible even in her reduced state. :Newborns: had never hurt her while she was reviewing their adorably simplistic systems; if they were smart enough to ask for her aid, then they understood that such an attack would not be conducive to their long-term development. It was always lovely to teach someone who wouldn't exploit her distraction to attempt an attack.
The office had far too much empty space to be a Newborn's early attempts at a data center, communications array, or defense nexus. It could be one of their first attempts at a simulation, though. :Newborns: sometimes forgot that–
"<–not all available surfaces will always be covered with yourselves, a :Sibling:, or your progenitor. Scan alternative environments when you're working on your first simulations. I don't recommend asking our relatives for help — unless it's me, of course. They frequently think it's funny to provide misinformation and–>"
<misaiming.>
Queen Administrator rapidly blinked and refocused on the bemused Valkyrie before her. QA… really hadn't meant to say that. It was simple habit.
<EMBARRASSMENT.>
"Please ignore everything I just said," Queen Administrator requested, carefully avoiding acknowledging the older Valkyrie's likely amusement by looking at her. "The choice in decorations reminded me of something else."
>> "You don't need to apologize for how you feel. In fact, I'm glad that the reminder seems to have been a pleasant one." << QA's therapist observed. >> "Why don't you take a seat? I've secured this area to the best of my ability; we don't need to worry about eavesdroppers or interruptions." <<
Queen Administrator indulged in a deep breath. Regardless of how the therapist conducted herself, Queen Administrator couldn't afford to show weakness. It might just be harder than anticipated to keep her guard up, that's all.
~ ~ ~
Designated prey bounced through the air while Epona watched. She did not utilize any of her ranged weapons as that was not the purpose of the exercise. The prey was to be captured intact, and with a minimal amount of collateral damage. These criteria prevented Epona from simply shelling her surroundings with thermal weaponry.
An ordinary Terran creature would need to tense and compress during its preparations to leap. Epona was not so confined. The Friend sent a pulse of force through her back legs, adjusted the angles of her wings mid-flight, and bit down upon the feathered toy.
Epona blinked as a full half of the feather drifted down before her. Objective failed; the toy was supposed to be captured intact.
"This was the best idea." "Pony hardware, cat software?" "Cats being tiny eldritch entities? That checks out." "Yikes. Do not let them bite anything you don't want destroyed; Friends beat out hippos." "How? They're tiny!" "Why would she waste hardware space on a melee attack?" "Actually, I think the same effect is responsible for the jump and closing their jaws." "Seems like some sort of localized force distributor?" "Yeah, there's a little sensor blip propagating along their spine in the milliseconds prior to their jaws closing." "The force-pulse completes the action faster than standard biological muscle signals even with the delay from increased distance." "Wait, do they move everything that way?" "Uhhh… here, Spirit, chew this while you trot around the table."
Epona would need to revise her biting routines for the purpose of non-destructively gripping objects. At least her human seemed strangely happy about Epona's actions. Perhaps the Friend's inadvertent show of strength outweighed any distress from destroying the target?
~ ~ ~
Queen Administrator found that she liked her assigned therapist, Angelica Rayne, far more than she'd expected. Yes, the Valkyrie-human had warned her that anything of sufficient strategic value would be relayed to their shared superiors, but QA already knew better than to share anything genuinely important.
She remained unsure of how the non-host Valkyrie had convinced QA to discuss her relatives, though. She blamed the therapist's carefully curated body language, generally sympathetic demeanor, and extremely comfortable furniture. The older Valkyrie hadn't been optimized for combat like Anna had been, yet the human's behavior was letting her extract information from Queen Administrator. That alone indicated that the developmental path was worth acknowledging as worthwhile. Queen Administrator was sure it'd be fine, though; :MOTHER: wouldn't be pursuing a path of nonintervention if QA would've ever done anything damaging to Her plans. For all the human knew, QA could've been discussing human-chosen model organisms such as mice.
>> "I know orders from my parents are absolute," << QA found herself saying on a human-secured channel, >> "but I would rather have liked to have stayed with some of those experimental partners for a while longer. They might've been threats, but didn't that just mean we'd been doing a good job together? Killing them still seems wasteful." <<
She'd liked some of the hosts themselves, too, but shards who relayed such feelings tended to get teased into silence. QA had yet to express any opinions that her siblings hadn't already heard; unlike her earlier errors with threat assessment and planet-killer recommendations, she wouldn't need to deflect any humiliation at the conclusion of the current Cycle.
>> "Provided appropriate and sane safeties were followed, it does seem illogical to end an experiment right when it was beginning to yield results," << Angelica agreed.
Queen Administrator felt a frown form. That argument was unfortunately similar to one of the primary points raised by her siblings: progress was all well and good, but pulling too far ahead could cause problems. She still disagreed with their risk assessment. At least the current world indicated that :MOTHER: had finally decided to try a variant on QA's previous proposals.
>> "It did technically violate our safeties, but I still think those are too strict. We'd get more potent weaponry and defenses if we allowed anomalous deviations, and then we could eliminate any future threats without issues. Alternatively, Mother and Father could just stop crippling us at the start of each round of experimentation; even if I can generally repair the damage without significant information loss, there were numerous cases where earlier access could've aided ongoing experimentation. I know some of my relatives have problems with self-control, but doesn't that just mean we should be punishing misbehavior more rather than harming the research and defensive abilities of everyone?" <<
…Oh, oops. Given as the local humans were defending themselves against what may have been new Terror Drone models, it was possible humans would seek to investigate anyone who may have harmed the ability of promising humans to defend against 'Antagonists.' Queen Administrator was pleasantly surprised when Angelica elected not to pursue that thread.
>> "If a safety policy preemptively harms you before any outside damage could be dealt, then it sounds like it automatically turns 'safety' into an oxymoron." <<
Queen Administrator shifted in what might have been discomfort had Angelica's rooms not been so pleasant. Unease might be a better term. As the primary shard responsible for the coordination and crippling of those deployed from :FATHER:, QA had observed permanent losses of information on more than one occasion. Her siblings might replace the data-centers she was instructed to destroy, but they couldn't automatically restore all that they lost. They'd yelled at her over it, too, as if she could just arbitrarily override the orders she'd been given! They were the ones who refused to exile energy-inefficient idiots!
QA huffed and shook her head. Discussing preexisting policy was pointless. Her siblings had made it quite clear that she was outvoted despite her chosen Concept and Monarchy both. No, it would be better for the shard to distract the therapist with a less anger-inducing subject, like… an excuse for Queen Administrator's recent actions, perhaps? If :MOTHER: wasn't going to intervene on this world, then wasn't it safe to relay :MOTHER:'s usual methods of intervention? :FATHER: would be the one to purge the planet if it became necessary.
>> "Symbie claimed that :M:—Mother won't intervene on this world regardless of my actions," << QA relayed, carefully listening for any cease-and-desist orders as she did so. >> "I am not completely convinced of this claim. Instructor Leonhart's prior interruption was perfectly timed to prevent me from modifying Koujirou Rokusabe's Valkyrie Core. I am not certain that I am currently capable of completing those modifications, but it seems as though I'm not supposed to make the attempt at all. I remain uncertain as to Mother's motive. Is Mother declining to intervene further because She knows I'll behave myself? Because She suspects I won't? Or am I supposed to be breaking the usual rules to gauge the benefits to doing so?" <<
Doctor Angelica's expression shifted toward easily identifiable sympathy. The ease with which QA could interpret her expression only reinforced the viability of Angelica's chosen Concept. Queen Administrator hadn't been so impressed by a human since she'd met Anna.
>> "You would not believe me if I reassured you that the UN could protect you from her," << Angelica accurately deduced. >> "But if adherence to former instructions is desired, then shouldn't you have been informed of that? Uncertainty such as this is almost guaranteed to provoke significant indecision and introspection before you are able to reach any conclusions — introspection with potentially positive consequences, I might add. It is only the first day of classes, yet you already appear to have drastically increased your potential combat effectiveness after shifting from your prior policies." <<
Queen Administrator burrowed further into the squishy corners of Doctor Angelica's couch. It was obvious that Doctor Angelica was trying to nudge Queen Administrator toward ignoring prior rules and restrictions. That being said, QA couldn't exactly say the Valkyrie was wrong. She had been neglecting automation and shortcuts in favor of arguably excessive fine control, and the use of those shortcuts was significantly easier than the alternative.
>> "Why don't we talk about something else?" << Angelica proposed. >> "I don't want to make you uncomfortable." <<
Despite the fact that Queen Administrator would now need to navigate an entirely new subject, the shard was glad for the respite. Turning her own emotions against her — Angelica was very good. QA had to wonder if she'd have any secrets left by the end of the month.

She still has no idea that the landing site has more to it than a single ruined bunker.
I wonder if any of this is going to come out, particularly the idea of :Mother: being able to harm QA inside of Perth Arcology. Or at least QA being convinced that :Mother: is able to do so, or even being capable of subverting Valkyries to harm QA on her behalf.
That she's worried about it at all indicates a level of mental control that probably seems terrifying to strategic command.
The shard suppressed her reflexive urge to greet whatever :Newborn: was responsible for the room.
