Poor instructors, they have no idea.

I think this is less denial of reality and more problems with figures of speech. As each Friend is precious, calling them 'errors' when they fail to do the thing you were trying to do with them devalues them and reduces them to that failure when at the end of the day, you still gained a Friend.I love how comprehensive QA's denial of reality is. She never makes mistakes even if she has to totally redefine what she was trying to do in the first place. "I meant to do that" taken completely seriously.
Queen Shaper's Concept deals with the manipulation, modification, and improvement of life. Mine pertains to efficient control of information, sources of information, and general authority. She also seems to think that deliberate misinformation is funny. It isn't. She's ruined more than one project by deliberately inserting errors I did not find until later."
They'd actually be thrilled to know that "Pandora" is comfortable with her body.
I won't comment on that specific incident, but I will say that QA's POVs often omit a great many emotional and social details. She is a very unreliable narrator.I think there there is more to QA tone then we see. She might even be crying a bit.

I kinda wanted the misunderstanding to continue for a long, long while. Mostly because I wanted to see QA grumbling secretly to herself about how and why is she suddenly stuck pretending to be QS. That's just me and my plot bunnies though.Correction:" QA interjected as soon as an opportunity presented itself. "My name is <Queen Administrator>. Queen Shaper is a frequent friend. Why did you think I was her, and how did you learn that name?"

Wrong shard; you're probably thinking of Queen Objective. Among shards, Queen Shaper is the closest thing QA has to a friend. She hates queen shaper, even if it would compromise her identity as a shard she will not stand to be named after that deceitful little minx!
I thought she actually really liked Queen Shaper, she referred to her as a friend this chapter and I remember her saying Queen Shaper is her greatest ally amongst the nobility. She hates queen shaper, even if it would compromise her identity as a shard she will not stand to be named after that deceitful little minx!
Well, a prank from an asshole. A friend true. But still an asshole.QA did say she tricked her sometimes, but I got the feeling that it is a more friendly version than of the other shards, more like a family or close friend doing a prank.
Just one that still pulls pranks on occasion. You know, I'm eagerly awaiting the conversation where the UN learns that 'actual' Taylor doesn't have a problem with her body becoming a militarized human body replacement. What she does have a problem is the fact that Symbie isn't letting her go all in and make it a human-shaped weapons platform with unrestricted capabilities.Wrong shard; you're probably thinking of Queen Objective. "Wait, so her Valkyrie is trying to make her more human instead of upgrading her more towards machine Friend, but is losing the fight?"Just one that still pulls pranks on occasion. Wait isTaylorsThe Nameless Girl's new body gonna have the capabilities of a Valk-frame? Like the ability to store and integrate weapons and technology and get an impeller and such? Laser-eyes, deployable armour, that tentacle thing QA did, 100% light absorbing skin, laser-eyes, hidden blades, prehensile hair(I don't know if Valk's can do this), laser-eyes, creating new/extra/redundant (sensory) organs, missiles, laser-eyes, etc, etc...
Think of the possibilities!
Wait I don't know if it is mentioned but doesTaylorThe Nameless Girl have a Valk-frame/core?
Idk, there's something to be said for brutal honesty at high level play. Especially so when everyone is hooked up to quantum space magic logic supercomputers.I love how comprehensive QA's denial of reality is. There's no way that Instructor Shapira is this bad at manipulation; if she wanted them to quit they'd already be gone. I must conclude that what she's actually doing here is making sure they don't quit by challenging them and telling them to prove they can do it.
Considering that Coke Zero and his abusive girlfriend are friendly and well-adjusted, compared to "Abused to fit gender roles", "Survivor's Guilt: The Movie", and QUEEN FUCKING ADMINISTRATOR? I thought that was obvious. There's no way that Instructor Shapira is this bad at manipulation; if she wanted them to quit they'd already be gone. Teenagers are Teenagers, no matter the superpowers. If you tell them NOT to do something, they will do it.Idk, there's something to be said for brutal honesty at high level play. Especially so when everyone is hooked up to quantum space magic logic supercomputers.
I imagine her being a terror drone, and it is funny because picturing her than using a regular armoured Valkyrie suit is like picturing a body builder hitting someone with a rubber sword.Just one that still pulls pranks on occasion. Why, she didn't do anything but popping Hellhand into existence, outside of this she didn't do much of anything. So maybe Symbie made a clone of herself? Because so far Taylor has show herself as a bigger threat to humanity than QA.
Now I'm wondering what Monica was looking at on her tablet earlier. At least she's acting more natural. She needs another Friend hug."Hello," Monica muttered, breaking eye contact as soon as she could get away with it.
You see, this is part of why I like QA. Direct, efficient, and blasting people with petabyte size files on a whim. Though I'm not sure if the resident humans/Big Sister got an actual name out of that or not. Anna would probably translate it fastest, if it's jumbled. It seems to conflict with Rose, but maybe it can be justified as a nickname?"Correction:" QA interjected as soon as an opportunity presented itself. "My name is <Queen Administrator>. Queen Shaper is a frequent friend. Why did you think I was her, and how did you learn that name?"
"Please stop forcefully throwing gigantic files at people," Instructor Shapira grumbled. "Anyway, it cropped up near some creature sketches at your old home. It seemed like a reasonable assumption."
I'm expecting some soft drilling on how she got into the Friend business, along the way. And if all the interest wasn't already on her, I'd expect more. The UN could possibly use info specialists even more than typical Valks. Honestly I'm expecting QA to just get fed up at some point and have a direct chat with her monitoring team(s)."Queen Shaper's Concept deals with the manipulation, modification, and improvement of life. Mine pertains to efficient control of information, sources of information, and general authority. She also seems to think that deliberate misinformation is funny. It isn't. I enjoy that Taylor really went the extra mile to have an authentic alibi. The UN might even be able to gather some sort of new tech applications once they get a good look over her body. I'm curious if this qualifies her to the Valk academy, or perhaps just being shipped off to a research/recovery facility. They aren't shy about getting literally every warm body with a Core into the war, but.. does Taylor have one? Or will she be seen as a really exotic soldier without a Core?>> "She's got the same irregular defensive field as her twin," << Elise reported. >> "Notably, she does not have a visible Frame expressed to justify this field. Physical fitness is well above the human average despite her apparent immobility. Conclusion: I think she's synched with another AVC. Related supplement: She is likely to awaken within ten minutes without further prompting. Possibly as soon as four minutes. Should we apply sedatives? I don't think it's wise to carry her out while she's awake." <<
I'm surprised no one has commented on how they have to reevaluate QA's earlier statement about her mental health not being productive to improve because then she'd be more similar to others and less likely to produce novel information. The instructor originally countered that by there being no one similar to her in the first place, and QA tentatively accepted that as the current state of things. Now they've discovered another girl that started as either an identical twin or a clone of her. So QA's statement has to be reanalyzed in that light.
They likely have to wonder how many clones of QA were produced, probably broken in divergent ways, and died. Especially as given QA's earlier statement, she would have been aware of them.
I'm not sure Taylor would want to be called by her name and reminded of her past life. Maybe she will go by UN's Pandora, which seems kind of fitting: she did unleash QA upon this world (and for her own amusement at that). That, and QA and Taylor are likely gonna start with calling both of them Taylor, which just reinforces the idea that they recognize both of themselves as the same entity kinda sorta.
