Thanks Ace, this is exactly how I need to start the new year. Sarah finally gets her metaphorical warm hug and Adam has to be "responsible" while cheating with both hands. Seeing Sarah start to instantly gain confidence once Bad Ass kicked in and she could use her centuries of combat training was just heartwarming.
 
I'm still thinking which Jump dimensions would fit the criteria for following jumps. They have to be deathworlds, or just shy of complete deathworlds to qualify. So like, manga Pokemon? Warhammer (Fantasy or 40k)? Elder Scrolls?

Bear in mind every following jump will be gauntlet rules, so she will only get points to spend by using drawbacks initially. I just, sure. If you can jumble shit together so she's as lucky as she is in this AvP/Borderlands jump I can see her pulling it off, but god damn is it not going to be fun for her.

Warhammer... oh god I can either see Adam hanging with emps, or somehow getting worshipped and going on a crusade against literally everyone else.
 
Need a death world? Try Konosuba. It tries to seem slice of life, until you realize that there are multiple demon kings, the gods send endless amounts of isekai'd champions who usually make everything worse, the vegetables will get up and try to kill you, man-eating giant frogs are common, and undead are common.

Also, the Konosuba jumpdoc is hilarious in how its written as the local gods begging you to take Aqua with you, for free even.

I agree, Konosuba seems interesting, but you could try generic super academy, it could be a grim dark/bright setting.

Of course to cheat theres a way to do a gauntlet right now. Something about a break to eat ramen? :whistle:

I'm loving Adam's percussive maintenance of Sarah's Warehouse space.
"It's ok, just a little bent, here let me... *BANG* ok, now it's a lot bent, BUT it fits, so uh... we'll replace that later, after I put out the fire. What's on fire? Shorter list: What ISN'T on fire."
 
To be honest, with what she got right now she would have a higher chance of survival in Saints Row then in the WoD.

I love Saint's Row and agree that she'll thrive there, but IIRC, the danger level for her Jumps are expressed in waveform and other than Saint's Row 4 the franchise is probably too low danger for the gradual step down the next Jump needs to be. WoD might be a bit too much for a mostly unenhanced Jumper, but she has something that setting doesn't. She has a Protective Adam.

Medical issue mostly handled! Woo!

    • So I won't go into details but I will say that trying to get emergency dental care safely during a global pandemic is incredibly tricky, especially since it involves direct contact between multiple people without masks while spraying liquid into a person's mouth... and that that doctor and assistant has been exposed to multiple people so trying to get this done safely is a nightmare.

    But now that I'm no longer on medication and have a follow-up procedure scheduled that will probably not be most much of an issue, I'm going back to writing the chapter!

    And just as a minor spoiler, due to the large number of things Adam has broken in the process of making Sarah's Warehouse secure and stable, there's going to be a slight delay before leaving this realm so that she can harvest some free stuff in relative safety before jumping to the next world. I'll try to gloss over the monotonous stuff, but a whole bunch of crap here is broken because of all the MacGyver patches required to get things to stop exploding.

    I should have the next chapter this Tuesday or so.

    • Glad that you save^^, as someone that just last week had to deal with pain last week and need the 'wonders' of self medication to avoid going to a hospital I complete understand you^^, my omake for a quest (in QQ) had being complete delayed :(

    Well I fine now too :) ; oh saying this once more glad that you are fine and back^^.

    From my own experience the dentists take a whole lot of precautions, their own mask, coats, gloves.

    It's not perfect true, but it prolly counts for alot with what is happening.

    I wish you a speedy recovery!
     
    Just a question, is Adam becoming a part of Sarah/her warehouse or is he becoming a separate entity with power over the warehouse bit? I couldn't seem to place it one way or the other.
