It's been awhile but isn't the plot of the Alice in wonderland warp style pc games about a scum bag attorney keeping her in the nut house so he can manage her inheritance? Oh and ya she is a little crazy and it's never clear if she gains superpowers from being mad or was just mad. And now I want to look up fanfiction for that game because I always felt bad for that kid.
If I remember well, warning here, but knowing will give satisfaction on his END.

The psychiatrist sells children to people as sexual slaves, the guy was a friend of the family, he raped Alice's sister before basically burning down her home and family.

Does his level best to have her forget what happened through I think hipnotism? while making her submit and feel insane. Basically gaslightning her into insanity. Telling her whatever she saw? a figment of her imagination.

Also does it to other children to sell them, calls them his dolls.

The game itself is really fcking creepy, but always on point. It's about gaining those memories that had been suppressed by trauma and the main bad guy. Ends with his death thank god, but most likely Alice doesn't survive for long.

As I realized we were in Madness Returns' Wonderland, I had a thought. How would Ofadam react to Psychonauts? Especially when you consider characters like those from the Asylum, or Maligula. (If you've not played the games, don't do this one based on just googling/watching, it's worth the time to play it instead)

The whole speed run thing, lots of quick jumps, is a quite nice contrast to the previous much longer stays.

But the 'Adam is a scatter brained infant' thing is losing its charm fast.

Doesn't it end with him dead in a subway and Alice just standing there over his body? And sadly I think your right she probably didn't live long afterwards if she couldn't get away from the man she just killed. Jury is still out if she was just insane or if she had actual super powers.

I look forward to Alice realizing that just because something is all in your head, doesnt mean it cant come out and say hello.

Or do a Jive while somehow not dislodging it's dashing top hat.

And meat some deserving people. No, that's not a typo.

I hope either another body of Shadow's remains behind, or it shows Alice how to manifest something like a Baku. In a world as dreary as hers, she would benefit from a defender to consume bad dreams.

On whether or not Alice survives past the end of Madness Returns, there literally is sequel stuff out, the Alice: Otherlands short films. Part of what was originally going to be the third game in the trilogy that ended up being what happened instead. At least if I'm remembering the original plans correctly. And even then, I think there were supposed to be more films. Or the implication of such, at least.
The 'otherlands' are other people's own 'version' of their equivalent Wonderlands. Hence 'other'lands.

And glimpsing through other material to refresh my mind on the specifics that there is a proposed different third game. Different name, at the very least. Not sure how it fits in. But it clearly means that Alice didn't die shortly after Madness Returns. Unless it's a very short timeframe for the third game to take place in. Or she's now a ghost doing stuff/technically afterlife wandering.

A deeper look has the fact that the story outline for the Alice 3 Proposal is apparently finalized now. 183 pages. Publicly available. Like, not even leaked, but officially out and released. A month ago.

It's not something I was even thinking was a possibility, since I figured that there wouldn't be a third game, due to the aforementioned Otherlands situation. Which... may or may not be canon to the third game proposal/efforts?

No idea if there'd be relevant bits of lore tucked in there that would have an effect on what Adam is doing now, though. Certainly would provide a bit more of a hint on her future capabilities without Adam interfering. Which I assume will have Adam creating wacky/Wonderland-y weapons. Would kind of fit with them.

Although there's also that shortish lived multiplayer game that Spicy Horse (before it went under downsizing or w/e the situation is) did that had the American McGee's Alice property included, what with them being the ones that made Madness Returns. 'Big Head Bash'. 2D platformer/shooter thing? PvP deathmatch stuff. Not sure on the category. General concept was 'toys come to life, battle each other'. Which I can completely imagine Adam create something like that. Probably less violent, unless it was specifically a 'teleport and respawn' laser tag/paintball kind of variant. And yeah, I'm including the fact that it'd be toys doing this.

The cat is right
The shadow, ofadam, fits right in though curiously I always wondered whether this iteration of alice counts as a princess of heart still despite how marred she is
Another thing to note is this world has an iteration of Razputin aquato the psychonaut as an easter egg in here which may make a good conceptual jump point for ofadam for the next stop
Now the question is
If the queen of hearts is the red queen does this mean ofadam is the black king? And can dreameaters get involved with the betwixt nature of wonderland and ultimately London later on? Does alice count as the dreaming realms equivalent of a princess of heart? And of course considering kingdom hearts as whole, how does xehanort and the master of masters consider ofadam?

American Magee's Alice… oh what a place for Shadow!Adam to end up. It's an all you can eat buffet. And he finally found new friends who might just be as mad as he is.

This was a GREAT chapter.

Curious how much farther the Shadow-of-Adam will go... Before it returns. Stargate and the Ori? The Void in Starcraft with the Xel'Naga? Nightmares and Horror Realities? Maybe eat Freddy Kreuger? Hellsing and the trapped souls in Alucard? Warhammer 40K and the Warp? Dead Space? DOOM? So many possibilities.
Indeed.

I concur that in the near future, Taylor Adam is DOOMED.

In order
Freddy Krueger, in order to properly attack him he would have to fight in the dream realm which is unfortunately not available to heartless though considering how chirithy work to form dream eaters it could be possible for ofadam to become pseudo dream eater or at least the closest equivalent to a pure blood heartless dreameater to note if one is to note a few details of kingdoms hearts fanfic cannon, freedy is counted as one of the 13 ghosts (if you're wondering what in the heck I'm talking about, look in the fanfic recs for kingdom hearts over on tv tropes it's the one where the '13 ghosts' fight against various characters in kingdom hearts example ariel versus jaws, etc) and a very credible threat and considering how dreaming worlds work freddy maybe the only one capable of actually destroying dreameaters possibly if it's possible to destroy dreameaters that is
Warhammer, either one, would be a buffet but the warp does count as being part of the dreaming realm so it may be very tricky but the tyranids oh my I could imagine the tyranids just looking at ofadam and literally pray because ironically enough they are the most conceptually resonant due to HUNGER, GROWTH, ADAPTION, DARKNESS/VOID(their hunger is strong enough to black out the warp if that doesn't scream darkness don't know what will)
Doom, he would be a worse nightmare than the doom slayer due to the fact that argent energy would draw him in from any point due to it being processed suffering and demons as being produced by humans tortured to the damned point of transformation
All the others you mentioned require some time for me to converse about due to my unfamiliarity with them and it is 9 30 pm where I live so it isn't anytime soon

The Abyss from Dark Souls is basically the Darkness of Humanity gone mad with betrayal and rage after age after age of Gwyn and the Light denying its rightful place. Eat the badness? Well suddenly that lump of almost quite literal cancer that tells all of humanity to fear the Dark, where they came from and source of their power, is gone.

And then they can somehow get through millenia of religious dogma and propaganda and tell Gwyn, his Way of White, and the Linking of the Fire to go fuck itself.

Monday update will be as scheduled, happy MLK day!
I'm not sure how many people actually view the schmoyoho channel, but 'The Gregory Brothers' are an American musical quartet most famous for their more silly musical works, like double rainbow, oh my dayum, turtle fence, etc.

However a time ago, I ran into one of their more memorable and moving videos which is appropriate for this particular holiday.

Martin Luther King Jr, speech in Memphis, songified.

Still gives me chills to watch it, I felt some people would appreciate it.

Arc 4: In a world of pure imagination!
Cheshire Cat partially formed in another tormented and twisted section of Wonder. Shadow was still happy and busy creating a festival of torment and agony for the issues that plagued dear Alice, but it wasn't like that simply fixed everything.

Problems were like that… Not so much simple and listed, but a mesh and mass of conflicts and partial victories and bitter defeats.

No, things were not solved like a math problem…

This Land was not better.

But it WAS no longer decaying faster.

A trend of… Not stability, this world was not made for such, but of mending. The stitches may be ragged and unseemly, the edges torn and dirty, but improvement was visiting Wonderland and it soothed the infections.

For the issues and problems didn't vanish as the Darkness ate them… But they were more broken up. Refined. The harsh impact on a young mind became far more mellow, less intense.

Long forgotten memories, curled up in fear and coated in sadness and despair and self hurt, were chewed up by the Darkness, by this Heartless… And set free. Invisibly and instantly infusing back into this Land and the many people who cried and gnashed and screamed within.

He was elsewhere again, watching a tormented concept pause, confused, at feeling slightly less wretched.

Progress indeed.

Even core traits and ideals and dreams and symbols, such as himself, could feel the rough sandpaper of existence become a bit less sharp and biting.

An edge had been ever so slightly dulled… Or possibly sharpened so far that it no longer stung to be torn by it. With this level of damage, either option was an improvement.

His grin twisted a bit in confusion however, when he noticed a bit of something in one of the farther corners of this Land.

Under a leaf, though not a baby nor a burbling flower.

An eye.

A familiar, cheerful, glowing pink eye.

One that was trying to blink a conversation at Cat, but kept getting distracted by the other hidden eyes in the surrounding shadows that were trying to communicate first.

Then the entire crowd of eyeballs lost the plot entirely and began arguing with each other about who was more likely to be the best one to talk with Cat, if any of the others had seen any candy yet, why someone called 'Gem' kept pulsing magic into the area, if THEY should start filling the place with something, although they could only use Darkness since they only knew how to eat stuff like magic or ideas or thoughts right now and were not really able to cast anything, and…

He chuckled. "Young Shadow…"

And blinked.

How… How long had it been since he could talk so clearly? How long since his smoke damaged body, twisted by the torments of young Alice, had sounded so hale and hearty?

No, focus.

Cat grinned a bit wider, his body flickering out and in a few times. "Little Shadow, you will find that Wonderland has always had some magic within it. Every dream and nightmare does. But there is no need to add Darkness to this place."

His eyes twitched as he gestured to one of the many slinking doubts that crept in this land. "For Darkness dwells within everyone… Some are just too injured, physically, spiritually, or mentally, to handle it properly."

And there were those who bathed in it. Who worshiped the Darkness, not the absence, but the conceptual monster worshiped by those craving depravity who forced upon it ideals of Sin and Evil to fit their own moral views. Or who just wished to cause misery or torment to others, and used their inner Darkness as an excuse for their joyful misdeeds.

After all, Heat wasn't lustful and Frost wasn't emotionally dead. Not until others began to twist them into an idealized image, one that fit THEIR world view.

The feline was about to explain other things. About this Land, about the trials and tribulations a young girl had gone through after a terrible night, about the people and nonpeople that lived here and the states of reality… More to enjoy his slightly recovered body and his restored voice than for any other reason really.

But the eyes were gone.

So was the creeping doubt. Not even gore left behind.

Cat couldn't help but grin. "While Darkness may dwell within all people, I suppose it is noteworthy when Darkness begins hunting itself with gleeful hunger and fanaticism."

Truely, Shadow would be able to fit right in here.

~~~Broken Adventure~~~
Alice felt… Floaty. Airy. Light.
She didn't smile as she moved through her day, doing the various tasks in Houndsditch Home.
After all, she had been 'hired' as a maid for this sad place, and despite her payment being tolerated to live while being 'useful' to older people there were MANY worse fates for others in London. Dangerous times, these.
And they were not complicated chores. But they were required.
Unlike her and her strict routine that was enforced upon her, the other children were nearly ignored and untaught, and shoved into two large rooms separated by gender. The place needed to be cared for, and Alice was a cheap option with few other choices that was 'good enough' to handle the situation.
Technically, it wasn't unpaid labor. But certainly unappreciated, and far too much for her to make serious headway in despite the effort she employed.
But… But unlike normal, today she felt refreshed. Energetic.
Without notice, she had tidied up her own private space, one to keep her isolated and manipulated some inner voice didn't say with a disgruntled floating grin, and had moved onward.
Tasks and chores that normally required much effort despite her hunger and low quality rest somehow seemed more trivial. Every movement a bit less difficult, any effort slightly more rewarding.
Trash, built up and discarded by young hands, gathered and moved out from this damaged place. Spoiled and rotten leftovers, cleaned. Toys, what few there were, gathered and carefully returned to their owner's beds and storage areas.
Absently, she realized that there were no whispers today. No snide comments. No casual cruelty so common to younger people.
But she was also not being ignored.
As she moved from room to room, cleaned hallway and door frame, silence followed her. As did the eyes and stares, for reasons unknown.
Alice didn't smile, nor did she bother to explore the issues around her or the oddities others were displaying.
She certainly didn't Ģ̸̝̤̫̱͓̺͎͂̉̎̽͝r̨̦͇̓̓̉̀ĩ̛̪̼͍̽̾ń̡͙̞̘̞̹͎̬̤ͣͪ͋̚̚.
But… But she may have been humming.
She wasn't sure where the tune had come from, but it resonated within like a soft choir of hidden thoughts.
But suddenly she felt lost.
She was done.
All her tasks accomplished. Hours too soon, far too early. To a higher standard than usual, no less.
She still felt refreshed. Unweary. Her fingers twitched with an unusually powerful level of motivation and energy.
Doctor Bumby's strict schedule didn't account for this.
To be fair, neither had Alice.
The next hypnotherapy session wasn't until much later in the day.
The doctor would likely want her to stay here. To do nothing. To listen to him.
He always wanted such things.
A voice didn't whisper about how that 'Doctor' always needed obedience, never earned it… And unlike usual, where her damaged mind just struggled to focus, today…
Today she agreed with the nothing that wasn't said.
Certainly, Doctor Bumby would likely prefer her to stay quietly. To restrict herself. To bind that deviant curiosity and dangerous imagination.
Perhaps…
Perhaps today she would take a bit of a walk.
Perhaps there was a white rabbit she wouldn't see and wouldn't remember, and she could avoid following it to see where it didn't go.
Alice didn't smile… But many watched her humming quietly to herself as she strode with uncharacteristic confidence out of the worn down building.
Shadow was having a BLAST!
There was this massive tide of… Well, it wasn't Darkness, but black ooze stuff. Plus a whole bunch of these creatures of Ruin, which were just wonderfully tasty!
A bit awkward to eat too.
They tended to be a bit on fire and encased in memories of terror and heat and forcibly repressed memories and taint, and if Shadow wasn't careful when chewing them little bits of manipulation and dependency got caught in his bright pink fangs.
It was a bit like eating sunflower seeds, but instead of eating the seed and spitting out the shell Shadow was om nom nomming the shell and releasing the repressed emotions and feelings back into this Wonderland.
Slowly of course. Too much too soon could be just as bad as causing a big explosion or dropping a massive weight on a fragile model.
But he had a system now!
Sort of. Or at least, a basic plan in place.
Capture all these Ruin things, wrap them up tight, and Consume them slower over time like… Uh. Well, maybe like ice cream? People ate ice cream slowly, right? Well, some people did.
Ooh! Lollipops!
So if all these corrupted and tainted monsters were like one BIG candy lollipop, then Shadow was just carefully taking one lick at a time by C̛̞̦͙͇̳ͅr͓̦̪u̺̤̖̫n̛̲̺͙ç̬̗̬̝̖h͎͖͕͔͍͞i̙͈̱̞̭̮n̙̲̳̜g̮̖̠͓̤̱ them one by one.
It was hard though.
Shadow was like 100% sure he could just chew up metal and harder stuff like Determination and other really hard or abstract stuff, so NOT just having a massive feast RIGHT NOW was really kind of stressful.
Thankfully, he had found a way to distract himself!
Gem pulsed with amusement as the massive forest of tentacles and Darkness eels attempted to juggle the captives.
It was trickier than it looked, because some of these things came from really odd parts of this Domain and could float or fly or swing or swim or dig… Plus they had odd limb combinations or weren't entirely solid…
Shadow found it a bit frustrating however that it was easier to slowly learn how to correctly juggle thousands of oddly formed and wriggling monstrosities simultaneously than it was for him to learn how to talk.
Meh, he'd get it eventually.
He felt the Darkness that filled the many cracks in this Domain, Wonderland itself seeming to welcome his presence for some reason.
It felt sturdy enough now. Next one! "Hiss hiss hiss hiss!" Yes you!
C̗͇̟̜̻̯̩͝͝͝R̸҉̳̞͇̫̙̣́͜͢U̶͈̮̺̗͙͎͓̱̜̻̪̩͙̫͍̕͠N̶̷̗̦̜̟̪͟͠͝C̵̵̨̱̼̟̹̪̼͕̲̳͔̼͜͡ͅH̸̢͡͏̶͍̫̮͇̬̝̦͕͚̗̙̙͎̥̖͇ͅͅ!
.
Mmm, that hit the spot! You could really taste the rage in that one.
Anyway, Cat had given Shadow some basic rules which amounted to 'Please don't devour the following Wonderland places/people/etc for now', and everything else was free game.
Let's find more snacks to put in juggle pit storage!
A few minutes later, a not blushing Shadow carefully put back the screaming and twitching Dollmaker, Gem pulsing with amused resignation.
Right, Cat said that particular entity had to be dealt with by someone else directly.
This was… What? The thirtieth time Shadow had nearly devoured this jerk?
He glared at the snack as the 'massive' and 'dangerous' humanoid mutant twitched in that stupid doll themed area of Wonderland. It just smelled so G҉̷͍̺̗̲̰̯̪̖̫͎͔ơ҉̙̥̹͕̱̫̟̮̣̪͍̪o̬̥̹͖̣͡͞d̴̦̥̦̤͍̦̘̱̘̞͈̹̰̼̦̲͘͝͠͠ͅ!
.
Well, whatever.
At least the other twisted killer dolls that were crafted, corrupted, and twisted by this taint were not on the list. Shadow had found Consuming the tiny ones Darkness and Purifying the salvaged emotions and concepts somewhat satisfying, at least.
Gem pulsed a hug.
Shadow didn't blush. Oh, stop it you!
Right, back to finding more fragmented corruption and tormented malice. Let's build this snack mountain higher, shall we?
~~~Broken Adventure~~~

One of the orphans couldn't stay quiet anymore, and turned to the others. "What was THAT!?"

The others dully shrugged or ignored him.

He ran his fingers through his hair. "I… What IS she!? Is she cursed!? What… What WAS that!?"

No reaction.

He carefully moved closer to the now spotless windows. Closer to the daylight, further from the corners of the room. "Something was moving. In the shadows, there was… I thought…"

The boy pointed at the unacceptably clean area! "You all saw that, right!? Things were moving a bit too much! And… And…"

He grew quieter as the others quietly shuffled.

This boy was one of the newer ones.

Hadn't gone through treatment yet. Needed adjustment.

As they had.

The child wilted from the lack of interaction. "I… Didn't we see that?"

No one responded, being quiet and normal and not causing problems and seen but not heard.

He would learn. Eventually. They were not meant to think.

Dr. Bumbly said they would serve a purpose. They no longer could care what that purpose was.

~~~Broken Adventure~~~
Shadow blinked at Gem frantically blinking and pulsing. What?
She pointed at one of his largest mouths.
The one gnawing on the Dollmaker as it screamed and wailed.
Again.
Damn it! Sorry, sorry, it just smells REALLY good and…
She pulsed pointedly.
Oops. Right, should probably STOP chewing on him.
Any time now.
Mmm.
Another pulse! Gem vibrated with how Cat would be disappointed and how he had promised and…
FINE!
Fine.
Shadow's eel tore into Dollmaker's flesh and then flung him back to his little kingdom of torture.
Again.
Though it was pretty much empty at this point, and the 'king' of that location was now huddling in terror and smelling so D͙̲e̖̱͚ḷ͇͉̺͖i̪͘c̡i̷̩͎o̞̳̠us and…
Gem gave a wry pulse.
No, he wasn't going to eat the stupid thing again!
Look at this massive crowd of tainted snacks right over there! Hadn't Shadow been doing a good job of following the list so far?
She pulsed.
Shadow winced thousands of pink eyes looking away to one side.
Besides the delicious Snack! Everyone else on the list he had only licked a few times at WORST! That was like, super good statistics! And he had captured dozens of the minions to the point where barely any were left now! Look at them juggling!
If anything, Shadow deserved a little celebration treat, and maybe a bit of a trophy or two, and lots and lots of candy and maybe something else just as G̙̮o͍̹̣͈o͕̩͎̦̙d͔̞̗̝̬̻̤…
Gem sent a look and Shadow awkwardly stopped his fanged limbs from reaching for Dollmaker again.
He uh. He had just been checking for any missed murder doll minions.
Totally.
~~~Broken Adventure~~~

The fishmonger blinked as a familiar but strange girl waltz by his stall. "Izzat you, Alice?"

Like usual, she was a quiet one. But unlike normal, this wasn't the vague and mindless little girl he had seen off and on doing chores for the good Dr. Bumbly.

She seemed different.

Her back wasn't bowed. Her head idly examined everything instead of slumped forward, avoiding gazes.

And something else, but it wasn't easy to place. "Off to the High Street chemist again? That Doctor always has them odd orders, he does."

Were her eyes always that bright and green?

The little lass casually shook her head no. "I'm off to see what I have not seen."

Odd. "Well, keep an eye out. Not safe for a wee thing like you out and about, don't go nowhere alone. You hear me?"

Little ones sometimes went missing. It was a terrible thing, but people could only do so much.

As a man of the streets himself, he'd seen a fair share of the darker side of life… One didn't get to struggle for survival with clean hands these days. But he had a weak spot for the little ones. "You just be careful, aight?"

Her smile was Wondrous. "I'll be cautious. Thank you, Mr. Duncan."

He couldn't help but snort. "Ain't no mister, girl. I gotta works for a living." Fancy pantsed prancing birks. Not everyone was as kind as the good doctor, taking care of all these parentless children.

And she floated away. Without concern or effort, somehow flitting between busy people in the crowd like a dance of petals in a snowstorm.

As he turned away to peddle his freshly caught seafood, he blinked.

Had… Had her shadow waved back at him as she left?

He shook his head. Best take a rest soon, heat must be getting to him.

~~~Broken Adventure~~~
Dr. Angus Bumby blinked at the familiar building of Houndsditch Home for Wayward Youth.
Well, mostly familiar.
His gaze shifted from the building before him to the ones on either side.
There, the soot darkened stained brick worn and tired, with odd moss and cracks and wear and tear. Part of the bland London atmosphere at this point, just another aspect of this city that blurred in the background as one went through daily activities.
But here.
There were still cracks. Still chipped edges, worn wood, familiar marks and small details he knew so well.
Just… Slightly wrong.
The whole thing was clean.
TOO clean.
The damage now looked artistic. The smudges and fractures and markings, all carefully shaped and drawn by the finest painter and carved and shaped most skilled sculptor.
It wasn't subtle.
People of all walks of life, from respectable ones like himself and those of his station and the wasted byproducts of life that toiled below their level, even the future dolls being trained by him were mesmerized by the changes.
He glanced at the children and couldn't help but frown slightly.
They shouldn't show such emotions.
He should have fixed that already.
Still, an issue for later.
He could always wipe these memories away at a later point once he found out what EXACTLY was going on here!
This was one of those rare times where his habit of keeping others from his business (Both financial and personal) was going to cause an issue now.
While keeping these dolls away from others was needed, away from witnesses and busybodies and people without proper class who may not appreciate well trained sexual servants as one should…
While needed and convenient and helpful, it certainly didn't provide documentation for what caused the current situation.
And he didn't want to risk asking the dolls within the building as it would set back their progress if they considered answering questions.
His workload was heavy enough already, thank you, what with him now having to retrain the product that had actually left the building in the first place to view these changes from the outside.
Children should stay unseen and unheard. Dolls shouldn't just follow orders, they shouldn't have a concept of gathering an opinion in the first place!
He sighed as he began corralling the little ones back to their pen. "Come along now, everyone back to your rooms."
The newest boy seemed confused, and that would need to be treated, but the rest mindlessly followed orders. So at least it shouldn't take too long to get them prepared for proper delivery, despite this setback.
Idly he wondered if raising children was any easier than constructing dolls like this. Probably, since most parents wouldn't care about their unrefined progeny to the same level as he cared for his little art projects.
Anyone could breed children, in the end.
On the other hand, it took skill to make a doll.
He blinked as they entered.
The changes were FAR more significant in here, away from the public.
Damage was somehow minimized. The wallpaper almost looked brand new, and an odd shimmer and gleam seemed to sparkle from the edges of one's vision.
But when he carefully examined anything closer… It all was normal.
Nothing odd.
Only when one stood back, observed all these small normal things together… Did you feel that odd sense of something off. Something unusual and somehow wrong.
His hand absently touched the key around his neck, the cord somehow feeling a bit tighter than was possible.
This could be an issue.
He had encouraged the rundown nature of the building. Not just to save coin, but to blend into the background of London. A dirty home for street rats, a place to be pitied and given donations toward and then casually disregarded as interesting or suspicious.
Only people like his clients should notice this place, but now? With this odd effect?
Again, not something he could quite write down, not something blatantly wrong or unnatural…
But this was noticeable.
Too noticeable.
Dr. Angus Bumby sighed as he ignored the mostly stationary children waiting in their room.
Nothing for it: He would have to delay treatment for most of them.
Give this… This whatever it is time to become normal, to blend in, to be ignored by the public once more. So any investigations could be carefully and quietly shut down… Or offered a cut. Or a doll.
Some people in very powerful places loved dolls, after all.
He was going to have to write letters about this, this unfortunate delay. Wasn't he?
~~~Broken Adventure~~~

Cat couldn't hide his grin. "I believe I mentioned this one was to be left alive for another to face."

The massive pit of pink fangs and black limbs and glowing pink eyes flinched… Caught doing something embarrassing.

He watched as that damned Dollmaker was shifted slightly between the fangs as if to try and hide it somehow.

As if the Cheshire Cat couldn't still hear the quiet whimpers and hoarse attempts to scream.

The nearest tentacles twitched.

He chuckled. "We do not shape Wonderland, Wonderland shapes us. The Dreamer must face her own mountains to climb, or recovery would be far more dangerous and treacherous. The Dollmaker must live. For now."

Mountains of limbs slumped.

The maw was still chewing on the whimpering entity though.

Cat raised an eyebrow. Was he going to be ignored?

Something pink pulsed through the multitude of eyes and fangs… Someone the Cheshire Cat didn't recognize had said something?

And Dollmaker was gone. Apparently sent away somewhere, reluctantly.

Interesting. Did Shadow have more than one mind? It wouldn't be the first time such a thing had happened. Not relevant though.

Cat could feel the infection trapped once more in the Dollhouse, that former 'kingdom' of lament.

Such vile taint. "I merely need him to be alive, I have no issue with a small amount of chewing."

Shadow's eyes lit up!

But a pink pulse caused it to slump again, and he politely declined by doing the Hustle. Apparently it would ruin his appetite by having too many snacks, and his significant crystal had asked him not to.

The feline shrugged. "A healthy appetite is important… It would be a shame to ruin a feast that is still marinating in despair and torment."

Both cat and the ocean of limbs ignored a screaming monster being tossed into the maw with an echoing C̱͙̺̟̥̩r̠͚͔̺̳͚͚u͙̯̠n͓͈̮̠͇̬͕c̯̭͙͈̤̙ͅh̥̹͇͓̙̬.

Then Cat was elsewhere, talking to a different portion of Shadow. "Our Dream grows stronger. The tea is being heated, many pathways are more clear or less structured, and the bindings have loosened. An old friend, a long lost one, may visit once more."

His focus tightened on the blinking form. "You shall treat her kindly or my patience will very much expire."

As would others.

After all, mad or not, friend or not, Shadow was not Alice.

Considering how confused the pink eyes looked before it attempted to give a thumbs up with a few million limbs, it probably wouldn't be an issue though.

~~~Broken Adventure~~~
Shadow wasn't exactly sure what Cat was talking about, but Gem said it had something to do with that delicious snack, the Domain as a whole, something not candy related, and… Well, something or such.
Another crack within Wonderland slightly shifted closer to sealed. Time for another bite!
Snack mountain had a tentacle toss the next customer right on down!
And missed… Damn it, missed the maw again. AGAIN!
It was a huge pit of fangs and Darkness, all the way down!
How did he keep MISSING it!? He must have hundreds of thousands of eyes too, which you would THINK would simplify the problem and make all this trivial, but in actual practice!?
It just made Shadow a front row seat to see his own bad accuracy in full 3D stereoscopic glory!
Part of the problem was all the twitching. And how oddly air resistance and gravity worked here in Wonderland. And there was like a crosswind or something. Plus, he had used his unlucky tentacle! If he had used his LUCKY eel tipped tentacle number 33, this would have been nothing but fangs!
Gem giggled pulses of humor.
Shadow slumped.
Fine.
It might help if he had practiced a bit.
Or was any good at throwing.
Also, putting eyes on the tentacles just before flinging something at high velocity made it SUPER hard to not get dizzy and miss the target! It wasn't an excuse, Shadow was just stating facts!
Gem gave him a look and warm hugs.
Oh.
Alright, that is pretty nice.
And maybe Shadow had gotten a bit worked up about the whole 'Unable to hit the broad side of a mountain' issue.
The multitude of eyes still sharpened!
But NEXT time! Next time, now that he knew about the cross wind (Shush Gem, no giggling during the dramatic speech), Shadow would make a perfect shot EVERY TIME! Or uh… Probably a few times!
At least once! Final offer life, take it or leave it!
He paused his motivational internal rant to enjoy the delicious and refreshing flavor of crunchy emotional demons. Mmm, tingly.
Right, uh… What had he been doing?
Ditsy Shadow Adam is hilarious, as usual. I still hope we are going to get SOMETHING approaching self-awareness from Adam, though. Maybe around the time Shadow learns to talk?
Well looks like alice connection to London and wonderland is showing and considering the ontological weight shadow ofadam, kingdom adam, and an admittedly broken princess of heart who is healing
It's not that surprising the influence of our little shaddoll is reacting in this way
I can imagine that if peter pan or mary Poppins were to be flying overhead they'd notice some interesting events, this begs the question though, considering timeline of events are we past kh1 in the timeline
Shadow Ofadam is going to really enjoy all the snacks.
Just have to be carefull to not accidently lick Alice and change her into the SMT version.
The Doctor would probably have a really bad time if it happens tho... 🤔
