Oh crap! Are you just going to steal everything!? Did I accidentally make a lupin the third rip off!?

That was your Apple to begin with, damn it!

... Fudge it, this could be an interesting character trait. Maybe.

I'm also not quite sure where he is right now. I don't think there's magic here, although I'm not entirely sure what species he is... At least he's not in DuckTales since he's not currently a duck. I'm going to keep an eye on it.

The new thread will be posted here when I get this all documented right, but until then I want to make sure that it feels right first. Also, I feel a bit sleazy since he's stuck in a hospital currently with almost no information and a lot of medical bills... Maybe if he's lucky he won't be in America? I know that stories set in Japan have a shocking bit of disconnect for us since people can go to the hospital and not be driven into bankruptcy by the process...

Remember that Ace is a classic novelist in the sense that he is merely documenting for our pleasure a true story that he was told by a traveler at the inn while he was hiding from the plague in the countryside.

Shit this has ended? I kinda feel horrible since I missed the last two arcs, life kept coming up and I always said I would come back to read this, and now that I did it's over?

Well, does he weigh as much as one? Though the not currently implies he's some sort of shapeshifter. So DC's Martians, Marvel's Skrulls... Star Trek has their own I think they're literally just Changelings, and are a bit more out there. Possibly some kind of Fae, but doesn't seem to fit. Then there's the possibility of a hologram-type lifeform. Where the 'body' is a projection, and could theoretically be quite a few different things. Something akin to the Gems from Steven Universe. Though I believe those might not be as flexible as implied there.

Alas, we're on a world where none of the tricks the various Adams/offshoots works right. Or is just far enough that we've got something that comes after the Shadows Ofadam development-wise. On one hand, it means less insanity showing up in the world, on the other we don't get any of the amazing improvements. But hey, maybe they've gotten subtle by the point that wraps around. Where getting a story told is enough to kickstart some improvements.

Which would actually be an interesting kind of deal thinking on it more. Influence stories to be written, and then slowly cause changes due to them. Really low tier ones, even based on a non-Adam scale.

Who knows, maybe we'll find out in something like five years, three months, and sevenish days. Somewhat random date. Though it would be kind of amazing if something did happen then. Well, something that could be construed as relating to Adam/this story coming to life, at least.

Okay... I wasn't expecting the endless division through realities. Or DeeDee being a genius (or anything else in the Dexter's Lab setting, TBH), but now all I am wondering is this:
How long before he hits or is dragged into Bloodborne? Because if one of the shadows lands there, the Pale Doll/Formless Oedon/Wifu!Shoggoth might just pull in the original to help out...

And we all know Adam's track record for Halping!

Just caught up after starting on this thread about... 5 days ago. Was going to put something about how good it was and how much I was looking forward to the next post, but damn.

I was not expecting an oroborus that spun so hard it reached escape velocity. Good stuff. And looking forward to whatever you do next.

My one question is, what came first? The shadow or the Adam

That is not a question that can be answered. Stable time-paradoxes ftw yeah baby!

Don't you love it when your orouboros becomes a perpetual motion machine, spinning so hard that it creates local pan-causal weather changes, then turns into a hydra? That would be a crazy painting that's for sure.

The plan, Stan, is to man the plan's planning as planned till it pans up grand!
Man, long term living assistance homes go a bit weird when you tend to ignore why your patient is here, if they've paid or not, any and all oddities during surgery/etc, blah blah blah. Nice people though. Health industry personnel deserve all the kudos!

I'm a bit surprised he is stuck in a place without a noticeable fiction component too. Side effect of the emergency protocols, no doubt. If nothing else, England and London exist... So woo?

I'm going to put small updates on here every M/W/F until I get my new story fully stabilized, or at least pointed in a direction that feels right. Won't thread mark the updates either, until I link to the new story thread.

Now I'm just imagining where all Adam could wind up with this kind of setup allowed...
Like... A Damaged shard of himself that loses/forgets a good portion of itself. Winding up as a PA-Commander, or being born a Jasmine(from Aladdin) with only sparse OOC knowledge... maybe winding up in a HORROR setting, but without his powers and needing to munchkin his way to power all over again, if only to warn himself of possible dangers... Like ending up as the Good Hunter in Bloodborne, becoming an Eldritch Horror/God, then advancing to other local realities/settings such as other HORROR's to help out and continue to grow... Ending up as a Na'Vi, as Scooby Doo, A Zerg(or Protoss), etc... SO MANY POSSIBILITIES.

London was mentioned. My mind automatically goes for either Hellsing(either Van or the Anime) or Harry Potter. The lack of fiction is throwing me off, though.

I must admit, I like how you hype up the new story by leaving a breadcrumb-trail of cryptic messages here. It keeps people engaged and if I'm going to be honest it feels like I'm already reading the new story sorta.
