That was nowhere near as dark as I though you were gonna go. I've seen far worse in other cultivation novels. Nothing of importance was harmed an the mountain became a "Holy Site". Adam being recalled though, that is hilarious. They think he'll do less damage from inside the sect when all they are doing is giving him time to really sit down and concentrate.

For as much as Adam is always manipulating energy and experimenting, I forgot he can just rip it out of people/objects/formations if he has to. There should be nothing in the sect that can threaten him at this point. It'll be good for him to "relax" away from the narrative plot of the realm.

After all, it had a long way to go. Right now? It could only trade units of energy, items, information, and communication. Plus a few gimmicks, like portable workshops and that attempt at time accelerated cheese maturation spacial pockets.

Bet he will be impressed when Adam gets that 'Fast Travel' system to stop exploding!
Bethesda: ''We've had a few issues with people exploding during fast travel, most of the issues were people complaining about it...''
''it's not a bug it's a feature!''

Burning sect elder: ''Brother Adam! this time acceleration pocket space is the most advanced thing we've ever had''
Adam: ''I know right? now we can all have cheese whenever we want!''
Elder: ''...you made this with the intention of shortening the ripening of cheese?''
Adam: '' well I suppose you could speed up the growth of peerless treasures and whatnot, but let's be honest here. one can never have enough cheese''

Shegorath: "I approve of this message"
Shegorath: "For Cheese!"

I'm amused at how Adam basically already has all the perks for reaching Saint level that Gristle so coveted. "The ability to fly, a body of steel, immune to poisons, unaging..." Plus all the soul and domain stuff.

Well, that was hilarious for the most part and not as dark as expected. I mean, the Corpse Bog was darker and more horrifying really, but you glossed over enough the of the details for what the dark sect did that its more like Adam taking out the villain of the week. As it is, Gristle definitely hinted at some darker shit and alluded to it, mentioned some nasty things, but the only thing we really got to see is that he planned on nomming the mountain before his formation got sabotaged.

And Elder Cho, him being out of the Sect lets him have wonderful encounters, forge friendships, accidentally spawn new sects (or factions in sects) and treasures, the formation of interesting new locations (a volcanic geyser and holy site at last check) and destroy dark sects.

I'm actually looking forward to Adam advancing to the next realm, mostly as I'm picturing him being what amounts to be a human shaped friendly Endbringer (mostly Behemoth style) and him making things nice and easy for his students to advance to the realms... and for this to be a trend that continues even with Sainthood and onwards... maybe with the construction of a gate that links the lower realms of the sect to the higher ones?

I think they're well aware that he can't be stopped by now, they just hope they'll be able to run damage control more easily and stop hip frol giving his BS to other sects. It's only a matter of time until a stronger sect finds out, no need to let him accelerate it further.

I feel like, at this point, if somebody was intending to harm Adam and was capable of doing so, as soon as they got the idea in their head of messing with him, the sky would become unending Tribulation Lightning until the guy either dies or changes his mind.

Not only their sect will (again) really speed up their cultivation now that they will have easy access to so many things that the MC create ('water' and food for example).

But their sect probably can throw allies and mercenaries at their problems to avoid (bigger) problems.

I mean a multi sect war with extermination of some of them happened for a skull with a bad tool.

One jar of 'water' and some seeds probably would make some powerful people to fight in their name.

Plus some of the 'locals' (given the xianxia/wuxia distances) like the MC already.

Oh and a lot of powerful beings probably are still fighting in that massive cave that the MC created when he took the stone and the yin rich area...
...and they probably think what they found there is good enough to have a war among themselves. Which also.help with the MC sect. They have a history of being pragmatic and avoid the 'normal' actions that we read in xianxia stories from sect all the time.
Edit: grammar.

There's also the giant gaping chasm that used to be a traveling Yin cave and is now a Minecraft Chasm reaching into the depths of the realm and exposing new unexplored ores.

I've been enjoying this fic so far, so thank you Ace for writing it.

That said, there's something that has been bothering me. The CAPSLOCK ABUSE.

When you write like THIS, it feels like either the character or the narrator is SCREAMING.
For a demonstration, I feel it would be much better if you wrote like this for emphasis. The text flows much better this way, in my opinion.

Aside from the obvious, such as the moment when I actually want them to be screaming, I do try to keep it down sometimes... part of the problem though is that capitalization is easy to move from one program to one Editor to another... However some of these things stripped out italics pretty easily.

I'll try to keep it to the bare minimum to get the idea across.

IIRC the powerful people are cooperating in the Deep Mine, as they reason the Deep Mine is too fragile to fuck around with, and they reason that the motherlode of spiritual treasures is down there somewhere and more eyes searching is better.

Feels like a mix between Terraria and Made In Abyss to me.

You just had to compare it to Terraria, and now all I can imagine is cultivators getting ganked by (and learning to hate) cave bats.

And someone getting pancaked by a conceptual boulder, complete with the little "eugh".

Well. That wasn't dark besides a brief description of a typical Xianxia Immortal Soul Eating Wraith Lord of Wretched Darkness and his centuries of plotting, and 'boundless arrogance'. Honestly not that bad, at least to me, as they fit with the setting. Especially because any more bad he could have done was stopped by 1-blinky lass and a cute mineral as a sidenote.

I need MOAR.

Also, depending on how much conceptual power he is able to bring back, this Trip could bring him to an easy god level, potentially matching a Chaos God in WH 40K:
Oh, you manipulate immortal forces of corruption on a galactic scale for millenia, corrupting trillions of souls? Where even mentioning your name can corrupt reality? That's cute, I come from a place where turtles carry trillions on their back without noticing, and stray energies from people form endless planes of existence. Also, we use concepts to fight, and reality warping is a common technique as long as you're strong enough.

And at the lower side, Adam gains a vast understanding of conceptual powers, and learns ways to keep them in other realities, or how to keep himself and others safe from them(Chaos corruption, various demons and magics, etc).
He could honestly just force a connection with his original self eventually, share what he knows, and casually add the Worm System he's making to the basis of Xianxia reality.
To sum it up: this could launch him into the next level of existence and potential actions, depending on what Ace wants to do. I'm excited for whatever is coming. Cuz in terms of power level or ability, or danger, Xianxia/Wuxia is as good as it gets with going completely Grim-Reality is F'd-Dark

Also, I just realized that, even If, he gets NONE of the power from this reality, he'll have the knowledge to essentially become a god, and probably find a way to cultivate in whatever reality he's in, as it's literally "going against the heavens" and affecting reality withjust yourself and your will/understanding.

Sorry for all the words, just excited for the update and where it could go. A reality may be able to strip his power and push him to the bottom, but he shall rise!
