Akashi: "Sit down."Ari wakes up in the middle of her refit to go punch someone over Richardson's attire.
"The other option was slipping it on Ari while she's under and undergoing refit, but we're not that crazy. We're still considering the wookie costume for her."
Well crap. Now every single time I read Prude Rage there will be Wookie noises.
Akashi, thine word is law. Obey the wrench wench.Akashi: "Sit down."
Ari: "But I-"
Akashi: "Sit. Down."
Ari: " ..Yes Ma'am."
I imagine that to be the case with most battleships and carriers. XDLess 'prude rage' and more 'Ari before her morning coffee'. She's... not a morning person. Takes a while for those Standard boilers to build up to working pressure.
Ari probably ins't much better, Pennsy's is undoubtedly the winner. Though on the plus side, that mess ends up being very fluffy.
After the third such occurrence, she grumbles in irritation but gives in. She is then seen walking around Sasebo with Inazuma and Ikazuchi on her shoulders, and Akatsuki and Hibiki following behind her. This results in her being accosted by every destroyer she runs into wanting to play with fluffy hair.
Eventually a study is formed to compare the fluffyness of battleship bed hair. After the third such occurrence, she grumbles in irritation but gives in. She is then seen walking around Sasebo with Inazuma and Ikazuchi on her shoulders, and Akatsuki and Hibiki following behind her.
It's more "No Fleet CVs", since we do have White Plains in story.
It doesn't have to be either or. One could be loli, one Floof.Thing is though, would be be lolli like WP or is JMPer gonna retcon WP to be more like Gamby?

Richardson: Yes, yes. That's nice. Why am I in the Slave Leia outfit?
Richardson: Get Goto on the line now! We had better--Richardson: "As far as I'm concerned, Mutsu has the best bed hair."
Hiei: "That's 'just finished hours of high intensity docking practice' hair, different thing entirely. There's charts and everything."
Richardson: "Still best hair."
Mutsu, meanwhile, is very much looking elsewhere and more than a little red.
How catastrophic / hilarious would it be to set up an adequately large Van De Graaff generator on a shipgirl base? Enough floof to make doorways problematic?

. . . could have been worse. Zardoz never became a cult movie, at least. The Slave Leia outfit still covers more than the Sean Connery 'outfit'.
Crap. I just gave Mutsu, Jintsuu and Hiei (and possibly Kongou) ideas haven't I?

Blushing Mutsu is adorable Mutsu.Mutsu, meanwhile, is very much looking elsewhere and more than a little red.
*Thinks of Kongo, Hiei, and Mutsu in Slave Leia outfits; vacant smile comes over face and happy little sigh emerges.*The Slave Leia outfit still covers more than the Sean Connery 'outfit'. Crap. I just gave Mutsu, Jintsuu and Hiei (and possibly Kongou) ideas haven't I?
*pictures Nagato in said outfit* Eh, honestly not much of a change.Blushing Mutsu is adorable Mutsu.

Lewd. So very lewd.Richardson: "As far as I'm concerned, Mutsu has the best bed hair."

I think it would be incredibly hilarious. Especially with the destroyers or anyone with sufficiently long hair. How catastrophic / hilarious would it be to set up an adequately large Van De Graaff generator on a shipgirl base? Enough floof to make doorways problematic?

Oh, absolutely.. . . could have been worse. Zardoz never became a cult movie, at least. The Slave Leia outfit still covers more than the Sean Connery 'outfit'.

Richardson: ...On the plus side, this won't be the strangest thing they've made me wear.
So which one was it? The schoolgirl outfit or when she asked you to wear the Godzilla costume while she had cardboard Tokyo buildings positioned on her?Oh, absolutely.
Richardson: ...On the plus side, this won't be the strangest thing they've made me wear.
All the yes. Now, where to get a big enough Van De Graaff generator and where to hide it...
