More appropriately than that, he only started pushing the thing in the first place because the fanbase kept pushing it. J and Crowning were originally not going to get together. Hell, Crowning was originally not going to be a major character at all.

Well, that's what I get for not paying attention to both threads :/ Outa the blue mate. While I can't say I like how Jumper ended the ship (honestly the only ship I actually enjoy how he handles is 'Laskas) it's his prerogative as the author and I do enjoy the rest of the character interaction enough that I'll ignore any (perceived) faults in how he handles the romance.

The ship, in hindsight, read more like one of those awkward high school relationships that started because of a blind date and kept going because neither party could really admit they were wrong. I'm glad it ended the way it did, because I've seen those kind of relationships ruin friendships of people not even involved, and because New Shashi is a ship I've quietly held from more or less their first interaction. Kirishima is a better match for the soft spoken literary professor and given how hard she got shafted with the Washingale stuff she deserves it.

Also, I think it's kind of weird how emotionally people are reacting to what are more or less two OCs breaking up what was already a pretty tenuous relationship, though the NGE shipping wars still continue in some form to this day so I can't say I'm surprised.

I'm just wondering if we'll see any of the Crowning/Kirishima ship, or if they'll just quietly pair off and never be heard from again. And, sorry in advance, but I really hope it doesn't turn into New Sashi. They're just way too similar for me to find much enjoyment in it :/

Jersey/Musashtits! There shall be all the tiddy!

Nah, not really.

I can see Jersey finding a relationship with a stereotypical bored marine.

What's worse than a bored marine? A bored marine and bored battleship.

Seriously. Jersey seems VERY much on the same wavelength as a lot of young Marines.

This would actually be something I'd be very interested in seeing. Jersey just walking into a bar and grabbing a random ass marine to be her boyfriend. I could see it.
