Mutsu: A beyond-gorgeous woman who looks like the girl-next-door, wears a very nice uniform, loves to flirt, and likes building models and...well, you know.

...Yeah, Richardson's probably the luckiest guy in the world.

Now now, Mutsu-mama is not for lewds... that's reserved for the Admiral. Violate this at the risk of Wrath Of Ari-mama (and when Ari-mama is mad...)

Giving that the ship was named after a real person: Andrea Doria, can you explain?
Andrea Doria means, roughly in Latin: Son of Doria. Andrea itself, at least in the recent past, was almost exclusively male names. Sure, you get male names in, say, USN, but for most part they're much more acceptable in US compared with Mediteranian.

So yeah, sorry, it's kind of racist/ misogynist jokes.

I remember one part in "Things Involving Shipgirls that Are No Longer Allowed" where Andrea Doria was summoned...well, actually, several different ships named Andrea Doria were summoned. Talk about confusion. Always thought that if liners were somehow summoned as shipgirls, they would either function in their wartime roles (i.e., Britannic would service as manager of the repair yards (sort of like her WWI hospital ship service)) or else they would remain civilians and open a restaurant like Mamiya or Irako.

My own fanfic sees shipgirl versions of Rex and Conte di Savoia going into business with Mamiya and Irako; they made spaghetti for the commissary and Akagi ended up prostrate before them in the classic "We're Not Worthy!" pose and their Admiral predicting if Rex and Conte ever open a restaurant franchise, they'll put Olive Garden out of business within six months due to how incredible their cooking is. :D

Girl next door? Akagi has that look, as does Suzuya. Mutsu, on the other hand, looks statuesque, much like her sister. The image of a classical Goddess with the beauty to match. Fitting not only for the spirit of a warship, but of a member of the Big Seven.

So, are we ever going to see Mutsu's rabid fan club accost Richardson for 'defiling their Goddess'? Or are they going to try to be sneaky and accost Jane?

Huh, I just started rewatching Black Lagoon, and Balalaika looks a lot like Arizona, only blond and in Russian colors of course.

No, they're going to accost him for taking too damn long to do so. And probably again if they find out what he thinks are good names for children. Langley might show up from the great beyond just to smack him upside the head for it.

Jane is an honorary member of the club as Mutsu's daughter. Of course, that also makes her an honorary member of Arizona, Hiei, and Jintsuu's clubs as well.

I just had a funny thought: Hiei meets a USN Culinary Specialist (aka Navy Cook) and ends up falling for him during the cooking lessons he insists she have after she tries yet again to cook for her base and nearly gives everyone food poisoning. :D

When some pervert lewds her on the train: You defiled our goddess. Prepare to die.
And they're all in her outfit with guns.
