It does tend to take a few left turns as well, spin on the spot a bit, and occasionally sits on the floor to pout. But things usually seem to meaner in the vaguely "correct" direction.

See, @Always Late has a right to voice out his concerns here, while it's true that consequences haven't occured yet. This has the potential to be EXTREMELY ugly in the worse case scenario. Best case situation?..well it's not good either, ranging for depression on both sides to anger or both and everything else in between, Mushi posting what she did on the net, innocent or not, is going to leave massive ripples.
I'm with you on this one as a Crowning fan and the fact that i wish for at least some normal occurance in BelaBatt.
These events generally headed in the right direction. This latest plot thread?...not so much. It's a giant clusterfuck that's going or has the POTENTIAL to screw over the only human unfortunate enough to love Big J.

Uh huh..you do realise that said professor and history geek will have to deal with the fact that the love of his life just had sex with another person, with the proper dialogue and tact it can be solved, however, the worst has come to pass, it was POSTED online by Big J's paramour. No person in love can come out of such a revelation unscathed unless you are someone like Guts from Beserk. So the entire situation has a chance of blowing up in Crowning's face, and as a final indignity, has a chance of leaving Crowning with the short straw.
I'm not sure where you are going with this honestly. Also many people here didn't mention about any historical scandal that may happen..the chances of this happening is to low to be considered a possibility.
Plenty of people didn't content this point, after all an individual IS free to do stupid/tasteless/tactless things, or in this case, post stupid things on the internet. The problem is, Mushi, being conceited and creepily enough, innocently insensitive, posted her sexcapade with Jersey in the internet, before any dialogue between Crowning and Jersey could commence, which would no doubt destroy the above mentioned history professor and geek as he is so "in love" with Big J as many of you know.
Conclusion, i rate a 99% chance of Crowning being screwed over because @theJMPer was Kane plotting and because he likes reviews and unhealthy amounts of drama and may or may not be catering to the Yuri crowd. (I invoke the "Lying Creator" trope

Also, taking comfort from Musashi is something I find to be a dubious excuse. she could have taken this activity with anyone or just had someone sleep with her in her bed (not sex) but no she went and propositioned Musahshi. The BB she has been lusting after for some time now. IMO, jersey was going to fuck Musashi no matter what. The Wisconsin thing is just an excuse.

Hey guys what's going on here. . . . oh boy just bad decisions all around in this story right now. Also between Musashi and Jersey, I honestly can't tell who's more narcissistic. Like wow Musashi, if there was a picture for the word in the dictionary, either one of them would be used for it.

Bad decisions??..you bet. I can't wait to see how this blows up, simply for the fact that it's time for Mushi and Jer to grow up.
Considering that Mushi can be arrogant and overbearing, not to mention conceited. This is in character for her. Big J herself is insecure beyond measure and can be unlikeable jerkass with terrible communication skills. As i mentioned above, i'm waiting for a potential blow up that finally allows these to grow up and reflect on their actions.
Nothing much can be done about Crowning, the possibility that his relationship with Jersey was a red herring all along is increasing as the chapters roll on, doomed to fail from the start as intended by the author, and he certainly succeeded if this is the case. I for one hope that in the end of this debacle he just drops his love for Jersey, after all, if a girl flip flops in commitment or just isn't paying attention or can't be bothered to try and make this work for "X" reasons, it's best to just end it quickly (and amicably) and look for love somewhere else.

Heeeeeeeeee's kinda why she came back at all, so I think there may be a bit more to it than that.
But either way, this phrase just gave me a weird mental image of, like, all the destroyers secretly plotting to grow up big so they can marry Crowning some day. (plenty of 'em are -probably- old enough, but they still look like puberty gave 'em a swing and a miss)

You know? I always took it that all the ship girls that have seen Crowning and Jersey together see those two as a sign that human shipgirl relations can actually work. And if those 2 fail? Well, no point in even trying. I think alot of US cruisers are going to give Jersey hell when they find out. They like/admire her, they go to Crowning for advice of life. Kind of like a working mom and stay at home dad.

Humans on humans have these same issues happen too. These shipgirls crew were sailors. We all hear how rowdy they are and about them and brothels. There is chance that they were married or had a girl at every port.
Also, even if this idea of yours is true. I don't think many would be upset. The story can now focus on Yuri between shipgirls. So those who were cheering for Musashi and Jersey shenanigans can be happy

Perception sometimes has more weight than facts. If Jersey/Crowning, one of the most high profile shipgirl-human relationships so far, can't work out it could cast a precedent that goes against any serious attempts going forward.
One would think Kongou/Goto would be the high profile shipgirl-human relationship people would be watching seeing as it was the first and all of Kongou's antics would attract attention. Remember, she is the one to proclaim the dibs for first official shipbaby

It might. It could also be a pointer that they should be aware of their own fallibility when pursuing a relationship. It would obviously vary from ship to ship, but still.
And there are other main character romances going on to draw inspiration or determination from. Gale and Washington, albeit more low key, is one. Goto and Kongou is likely to be another when they finally get in gear.
