However, if they didn't, then in order to hit with the strongman kill and make sure Scia doesn't die, they need to use either the staff or the cage and the coin, which as a demon they can't do.

I was just going to suggest she cage Wiadi so he can't protect Zaealix. And Zaealix can't protect himself so that's that. I'm pretty sure the coin is defunct, but I can use the rope to make certain it is a nonissue.

My guess is he won't, though. Byzantine has been playing very cautiously and right now everybody needs him alive. And if things go according to plan he gets to pick the surviving faction anyway.
@mesonoxian is there mechanical evidence that Wiadi is the knight? I have the same suspicion but wanted to check. I don't think sharing info on this would hurt you.

Nothing absolutely incontrevertible, but Wiadi visited Zaealix last night and when I tracked Happerry the night before, he went nowhere, which seems odd for a Knight at this point in the game.

Oh, I nearly forgot. Happerry made a believable claim of having an Eagle Mask. They were itemblocked, but that wouldn't have stopped them from protecting their target, just watching them. Which strongly suggests they were only able to watch.
Either Happerry or I will survive the night unless meso dares to venture out of his safe comfortable lair. Removing the Talisman exposes meso to dying at night, just the same as removing the final shot of bulletproof from the Knight. Hence "similarly effective."

That assumes you've only been hit once. I'm not sure that is the case. Zaealix still had his Talisman last night, so I believe his claim he hadn't been successful in finding a target to bodyguard. The Demons seem to have hit a Knight night one, and a Knight killed Shadell (which means they got hit by Shadell). So unless you got healed, I'm guessing you're running on empty.

Interesting theory. Of course, whether or not you had any evidence to the contrary, you'd be incentivized to make that claim and I'd be incentivized to cast doubt upon it. Guess it's up to Byz's judgment.

You're the one who brought up your number of remaining bulletproofs, I was content to keep that to myself. The fact you felt the need to try to redirect Byzantine makes me feel pretty confident though. I really hope you don't and Byzantine takes my advice. Then we can close this thing out at start of day tomorrow.
If we're lucky we'll have a short night and a quick vote.
If we do wind up with a townie alive tomorrow, @Byzantine should still vote to remove whichever scum he can't win with. The surviving scum can nightkill the townie and Byzantine still wins.
I mean, my ideal scenario is "Scia uses the cage, then dies to Dwarf!Byz" - of course I'm going to argue for a course of action that improves my odds of victory rather than reducing them.
Said vote would just be one in which Byz gets to safely play kingmaker, as voting him would be pointless for either party. It doesn't actually help him at all to prevent it.

He wouldn't be in danger, but my impression is that he wants to get to the end of the game alive as soon as possible.
If I understood that correctly, the best thing to do is to douse you tonight. It guarantees the conflict to come to an end tomorrow or tomorrow night. It is a consummation devoutly to be wished.
While the magics that obscured the details of everyone's form still were present subtly was limited among those that remained, and clear divides had formed, few could be swayed but some certainly were more maleable to the others, and all eyes focused on them, and yet one side had to win, and once set none would move, time was bided but it was but an inevitability.
As the self-proclaimed demon charged forth towards the claimed humans the island itself rocked violently the demon slamming against the dais, the crack of bone echoing out, and light broke free from an open sky, disintegrating the one that had chosen to break the rules of the game. Roots had sprouted and twisted themselves around those that remained's legs locking everyone in place during the disturbance. And then its voice boomed once more.
"I will not accept such blatant motions against this game's structure, keep decorum or we shall have very short days."
@hailcapital has been "Zapped" they were a Demon. A Staff of Life was found near their scorch.
(Also there were no rule violations at all, just an IC reason for the early day end.)
