For the rest of this game, if I feel a day has stagnated with no change in sight, I'll send PMs to attempt to see if people wish to end the day early.

If they do that, you'll be able to kill them at your leisure , with no nightkill left to threaten you, and a majority of the dayvote after tonight. You are part of a team with a coin and two staffs of life. Issues that can be dealt with much more easily if there is just one of you left.

@Byzantine knows why I won't do that, I'm pretty sure.

There are several reasons, but the most obvious of them is that my continued survival depends on Byzantine being alive till the end of the game. There is no point coming about where I will have any hope of survival if Byzantine defects. Another is that if Byzantine wants me dead, there is almost nothing I can do about it. I'm not the only one with a firestarter, after all, and I wasn't watching last night, so it isn't really Byzantine that needs to worry about me.

There are other reasons, but I don't want to share them right now.

Byzantine has made it pretty clear which side his bread is buttered on. If we vote meso out today, tonight a Townie dies and tomorrow you+Scia+Byzantine have a strict majority. I'm not inclined to gamble on the slim chance that Byz is actually a Dwarf as our only possible avenue to victory.
 
Plus if the Demons go into tonight with two of them, they both have Staffs of Life that mean they are basically untouchable by Knight bodyguarding.

I mean yeah, that's part of the equation that leads to me concluding "one Townie will definitely die and no Demons will join them."

There are definite risks for me in taking out hail today. If you all play your cards right, Scia could be dead tomorrow and then I am roast duck. But honestly, that is more interesting than marching to an inevitable Demon victory scenario.

Also, I know I'm not in any position to ask favors, but please don't kill Byzantine if the scum teams get eliminated. We kind of had him over a barrel when he swapped sides.

If both Scum teams get eliminated we literally can't kill Byzantine - the game will just end at that point, no?
 
And to be clear if the game gets to the point I can end it that day I will always vote to do so, regardless of which side it causes to win, as long as it is one I can win. I'm stuck simultaneously having all the leverage and none of it. It is annoying.

Sorry. I'll admit I prefer the sneaking and solving portion of the game to the threatening and bargaining phase. I don't think I'm going to win. Though I see a few possibilities, they all involve being very lucky. But I feel like I need to do everything possible to give my team the best chance at success. Even if it involves being a bit of a jerk.

@Scia the reason I asked about the cage is that you'll want to kill Zaealix tonight, but you need to contain Wiadi in order to do so safely. If you die, that's game over for Demons and Fiends in short order. If you don't, you'll need to heal yourself.

My plan is to ignite tonight but not to kill anybody. Just sit in my hole with my matches and my precious talisman.
 
If it actually goes to 1-1-1-1, I don't see any outs for town tbh, assuming perfect play, unless Wiadi's Coin still has a charge. What path to victory are you imagining right now @Wiadi, @Happerry? Don't tell me obviously if it requires us making a mistake, but is there anything that gets you to even either a quickvote or someone else playing kingmaker with you as an option?

I see no value in sharing this information with you. If you want to live, articulate a path to victory you see for Town in the scenario where meso dies today instead. I have already explained why in my view, killing him today inevitably dooms us.
 
Can't really argue with your logic. I mean I guess it's entirely possible that we don't actually get our night actions in. I'm not sure how that would affect any of the scenarios.

@Scia @Byzantine (if ur elf/gnome) @Wiadi (if Byz is dwarf) if it comes down to quickvotes, try to win them I guess.

I'm not sure who has the cage rn is relevant, since we pass items on death anyway.

One thing I thought of that might be relevant is that last night our plan was to use our coin to make sure our strongman ended up on Zaealix. We have reason to believe Wiadi has used up at least 2 of their 3 Coin charges, as they must have switched either you or Tykan with Zaealix on N3, and if they had any charges remaining N4, they would have used one to switch Zaealix and someone. We don't know whether or not they switched someone N1 or N2, if they did their Coin is almost certainly dead. However, if they didn't, then in order to hit with the strongman kill and make sure Scia doesn't die, they need to use either the staff or the cage and the coin, which as a demon they can't do.
