28 years, turn 35 is when a turn = 5 years. It's currently turn 15. We got a good 20 years/turns to do our side checking and then 1 turn to meet him before he gets caught in the middle of turn 36-37. So around 21 turn to meet him. A fair bit less sure but not too bad all things considered.
We'd need to get pretty close. Even assuming our psychic senses and familiarity with what a primarch feels like get gud enough that we can foresee his arrival two turns in advance with Navigator and it being a major event, we'd need to have expanded pretty close. Assuming, worst case that he's half a galaxy away, we'd need a clearing rate of 125 sectors per year.
 
Hey ilbgar123 would it be possible to develop a Psychic Focus or Wargear that would be treated like our Wargear but for Psyker checks? The reason I ask is so that we could extend the range of our Psychic quires.

Well expansion is exponential so it wouldn't be the biggest stretch to think we could reach Angron through expansion plus Webway tunnels and worst comes to worst we can emergency teleport chain to him.

That is alot of work. And worse like you said we have no reason to go there more than any other direction and IC we're not paranoid enough about Chaos corrupting our brothers to justify such zealous searching. If the thread deems finding Angron to be a priority or finds some way to make it so we can find him within our limited timeframe I'm all for it, but right now it kind of seems to be near impossible to make it in time.

The long-term visions are less accurate than the short-term ones, but you can reasonably expect to see things a 5-year-Turn in advance by that point anyway, so, directional enough for your hypothesis to work out.
 
Yeah, that's the mechanical effect of Emps attempts at black-boxing. Cawl being able to improve on the Astartes is such a big deal in canon for this reason, as one of his Perks lets him mitigate the problem.

is void shield and void shield emitter one or two separate projects?

also 11 actions to max out at 500k in one go for astartes
 
Emitters make the Void Shield stronger, but researching the exact properties that make the shield effective and improving on them can considered a separate action.
 
Does anyone remember how long it is till we get Astartes for free?

I wouldn't see why not. Do you want me to provide you with the checks and skills involved in a Crystal check?
Well, unlike regular Crystals I think we eat the Booster Crystals, and the Self Rune didn't work off of grades and Booster Crystals and Grades have never been spoken of together I think.

It probably uses the same Checks and skills, but I'd bet there's a decent chance that it doesn't doesn't work off of Grades in a similar manner to the Self Rune and so it might be able to be pumped all the way to 500000.

Booster Crystals that work for every Stat are a 500000 Check. Partly because 'have to be safe for consumption' and partially due to how wide their effects have to be to work on every Stat.

Is that amount of actions enough to upgrade the Astartes Package? @ilbgar123 stated that we need to clear the 500k check in one go or else it's a waste of actions. Also could you include psychic choirs in your plan as well or is that not on the table?

Can we fit choirs in there? Or did you already?
No integration actions invested into Darkspawn or Grimm research? Also I'm surprised you didn't include more Crystals but I get it your plan already is pretty stuffed and really comprehensive so regardless you got my vote especially since no else has proposed anything yet.

Ilbgar mentioned that Astartes Package not holding research was due to Emperor black boxing I was the one who suggested that we only research it if we could go over 500k for efficiencies sake.

Strip and distribute from Astartes Package we don't need it right now and you can shove the remainder into Crystals and an odd action into something else such as that survival wargear our parents and stuff have or some helper androids.
