Alternatively, we could use the Frame of this Spider Badnik and modify it....
It has a Web Gun like Spiderman and a Flame Gun.
We could then give it a pair of Crabmeat Pincers to grab and shoot with.
Then add a Flight System from one of these....
That would let it Fly without needing Wings, while also giving it a nifty Electric Zapping capability at close range, while also being possible to apply at range using the Web Shooter to deploy the Zap!
Finally.... We could even add some bendy fun from the Arachbot Badnik.
Here is a pic of both Badniks!
Then when both Badniks are combined together it ends up more like this!
But with Crabmeat Pincers!
It could even benefit from one of those Spring Discs mounted underneath it. Both as a Leaping Mechanism and as a Shock Absorber and even as a Shield of sorts it could deploy if on a Hinge.
This has precedent on a Robotnik design, it is a feature on the top of the "Egg Tarantula.
Which although a Mech is still interesting!

Big problem with those guys: They're mooks, and thus almost worthless for Team Egg. Hey Ho gives us a much stronger baseline, for a much more competent result. If I thought we could get a Buzz Bomber up to Team Egg standards, I'd be voting for it, but since we almost certainly can't...I'm not keen on Heyho.
There are far better flying Badniks.
That said.... I had an idea.
Check out this Pic.
Both Motobug and Buzz Bomber use the same Booster System.
On top of which, Motobug is based upon a Ladybug which has Wing Casings.... So how about we merge the Designs?
Motobug with Wings that Deploy from the Wing Casings.
We cannot use the Buzz Bomber Ranged Weapon as it does not really have an affixing point on the Motobug frame.... However, we can use the alnost useless Slicy Arms as Mounting Points and replace the Blades on the Arms with the Pincers from a Crabmeat Badnik!
We then have a Badnik which has Boosters it can use on Land and in the Air, Two Ranged Plasma Weapons instead of the Buzz Bombers single Ranged Weapon and it can use the Pincers as Melee Weapons or just as Gripping Appendages!
For fun, we could even add a Stealth Cloak from the Chameleon like Badnik!

Likewise, I'm not paying much attention to the spiders because we need a high-performance flying badnik to go with Alpha's power and Silver's speed.
We have Word Of QM that we're only allowed one of each line (E-Series, Metal Series, Egg Pawn derivatives, and generic badniks) on Team Egg, so Tau is ineligible for it because we've already got Alpha.
The Kintobor Badnik is apparently strong, but it's not ours is it? Pretty sure we're not in the right universe for it to be a thing, and I doubt we have the time or technical ability to make it a thing at this point in time.

I figure we could use this to help the good Doctor gain more animals for the rest of our forces, i know it's not the priority atm, like getting Team EGG or figuring out our infrastructure, but i want to contribute a bit.

come on people we need an actual army capable of winning and as much as super projects and upgrades are great if you don't have a good infrastructure your projects are gonna get wrecked or be insufficient.

Speaking of the E-series of the original set from adventure we've only confirmed the loss of delta if I'm not mistaken.
E-100 Alpha is now our nigh unkillable brick to throw at problems.
E-101 Beta is currently in his mk 2 body kicking ass and taking names which is simply a better and more complete version of the body we gave epsilon.
E-102 Gamma didn't go turncoat so we have him for a bit longer though I think he did show some signs of internal conflict of some sort so we're not out of the woods with him just yet.
E-103 Delta is unfortunately dead as a doornail by word of FROG as stated earlier.
E-104 Epsilon was in critical condition last time we heard about them but apparently was able to cling to life and pull through, no ETA on when he'll be either back under our command or back in action in general though unfortunately.
And E-105 Zeta is still chilling somewhere in the hot shelter on the EGG-Carrier 1 in the E-series fortress chassis, possibly defending where the EGG-brain is set up.
So in terms of E-Series I'd say we're doing quite well all things considered since in cannon the entire set died in SA1 due to gamma going turncoat and performing a mass-scraping suicide on them all.

One of the Reasons we're desperately trying to boost Sliver Sonic is to have him take metals place as the Favourite Sonic Bot as a way to curtail his potential rebellion by taking away the Doctors fondness and leniency for metal, failing that we break off from the rest of the EGG-Fleet and screw off to some remote and/or forgotten base of the doctor to regroup and plan our counter rebellion if we haven't already been transferred back to a ground base by then.
Besides Metal probably wouldn't care what we do immediately after his takeover as long as it didn't greatly interfere with his plan to kill sonic.

I definitely remember that getting hit with a vetto by FROG so that is off the table for the foreseeable future.
I think FROG is keeping us from getting rid of our dedicated weakness that being we are a defenceless huge ass computational device that cannot move under our own power, Granted im pretty sure Zeta in fortress configuration is probably sitting right in the way of people getting into where the Doctor stored and connected us to the EGG-CARRIER without permission.

The "Turtloids" Badnik design is big enough to carry other Badniks?
It could be given pop up Cannons like a Blastoise too, maybe a deployable Clasp like the Grabber Badnik has too?
