Well, this does leave you several interesting routes you can take. First off you could study the Chao's flight capabilities, how such as weak that was none the less heavy for its size creature could fly in the first was beyond you and had frustrate you intelligence it to no end. You could also test it's cognition as the in of itself has always been a mystery. Examining it's responses to various stimuli is another viable route as the species can mutate in unususal way..... and of course you could... raise it the normal way. It may seem odd but there have been recordings of Chaos mutating depending on the 'nature' of their caretakers, if you wish you could treat it with 'affection' and see if this is true.
