You know what would be hilarious? If we got tired of the constant Warp-fuckery and set up a giant dream-catcher to grab and potentially destroy anything coming from the Warp. Then one day, we notice a baby...Bah, even in the grim derpness of 40k there are still imperial worlds designated as paradise planets and other planets which are more or less on par with real world modern humanity and the same quality of life. Sure there are a bunch of crapsack worlds as well but it's not all horrible shittyness.

More seriously though, there are iirc two primarchs unaccounted for in the lore. Wonder what the chances are that one of those two does in fact land on our planet?

No. Just no. Yes the Imperium under the Emperor (31k, direct rule) was vulnerable to Chaos because he was attempting to destroy it by denying Chaos power by banning all religion. And the Imperium (40k, Golden Throne) is still better than Chaos by far. It may be sprawling, inefficient, intolerant etc but to call it indistiguishable from chaos is just wrong - it's the difference between being executed for breaking the law or being tortured for all of eternity just for teh lulz; and more besides.
Add to that a corps of psykers capable of stopping the Emprah? No such thing. I think we're better of assimilating and just quietly preventing the Heresy - you know bumping off Erebus before he can steal the anethema blade thing from the Interex and maybe getting the Emperor to send Horus a postcard and birthday present to prevent the whole "Father why have you forsaken me?" thing.

Dia dying now would be a complete and utter disaster. We lose the Eldar Index and basically Mirande is seriously shit out of luck. She's barely even started learning to control her powers yet and if Dia croaks it's game over for Mirande.

I don't suppose the plus 5 to combat rolls against Eldar from our current level of the Index would make any difference that final roll on 'take advantage' would that roll apply to the mental combat sections where Dia tries to shake off the aura effect?

Y'know, if this keeps up, with Omakes either turning up little to no rewards, or they're used to screw us over, people will just stop writing them. I know that I'm not particularly inclined to write any more with this, or my Omake netting barely more than 50 points just due to a shitty diceroll...
