Guys seriously don't release the sap with ought the warning. That's the sort of thing that ruins your credibility, if anything shift policy around and then when we have them over the barrel we stick it to them!

How'd they know we were having the meeting at that very moment then? You can't really move a sniper around in a hurry.
It's almost like this setting has a race of space-dicks with foresight who will cheerfully throw millions of humans to die to save a single life of their own race (and them promptly throw dozens into melee combat with chaos spawn and get them mulched).

This is a setting with a lot of active actors.

I would definitely not release it - in particular, not before we crack the metals problem. Now, once we have that, then I would suggest producing it, then shaping it into a convenient ration form and trading it.

So what happens if, say, the 504 get the info and the warning? Well, now they've got a bright idea - produce the stuff and sell it on to others without warning them. If everyone gets the info and the warning, then slaver groups can cheerfully reserve the tasty and safe stuff for them and feed their slaves the sap.

No, release is irresponsible at the current point - and even when we crack it, I'd trade the stuff in a safe form for stuff we can use to continue to expand, feeding and sheltering an ever-increasing population.

@Academia Nut, how viable is the sap in the current form for the organic raw material needed for the medical tech?

Nerve damage. Lots and lots of nerve damage.

Dunno if it was already asked, but can the sap be used as feedstock for our medical equipment or would it have problems due to the heavy metals?

You know... what about trying to get people to leave the factions and join us. The dragonflies are assholes without doubt. The first thing they do after an apocalypse is enslaving people. And no shit, the 505... well, we knew someone was setting up a rebellion and now there they are, apparently being able to set up a hit like that. It reeks.

I suggest we might want to publish what we know, offer people food who want to join us and basically draw in as much manpower as we can.

Answer to break 504 is already laying front of us....

Agriculture we share with 504 will suffer horrible sabotage by Dragonflies. So it csn only be salvaged for parts or expand existing one.

Means 504 will be forced assulting dragonflies or deeping there depending on us for survival.

So is win and win case.
504 will be locked down and start act after our puppet strings.

You are serious on believing this gravekeeper mean well and wanna help us? W40k lore 99.9999% shows all rogue psyker are bad shit and mainly human mind is not evolved handling this.

Sound completely normal psyker supected/warp creature for gathering bones and bodies at on central place. Secondary rumors about all who went mysterious up in smoke. Third his interest in involving into on going power struggle.

You can take it certain he feeding every side with information and moving things toward bloody future. So pray he is not warp creature yet. We keep him far far far away. Then moment come we finish him off.
Total burn down hospital and make it forbidden zone.

I don't really think that starting an all-out war or using overt sabotage at this point is in our interest. Especially since we have no definite proof that the 504 set up this incident, only some circumstantial evidence with no neutral third party to confirm them. Taking this all together, and us suddenly screwing over the 504 would likely seem as a blatant power-grab, and undoubtedly damage our standing in the eyes of the neutral population.

Not to mention that I'm not sure we could afford a two-front war.

Honestly, I think our best bet would be to brief our council and other leadership, officially pretend to know nothing and keep working with the 504, while working to discreetely start infiltrating them. If we *do* finally turn on them, I'd like to see if we can't arrange an incident similar to what they did to us.

And we definitely need the Census next turn, IMO. Quite possible that we'll get some immigrants soon, and I'd like to minimize the chance of infiltrators.

As for the Grave Keeper, I'm also leery of trusting him, but he's so *obviously* suspicious, that I'm almost inclined to believe he's innocent. Honestly, I figure it'd be best if we'd simply keep an eye on him for the moment.

If it was the 504 then the best reaction is not blatant action but simply make them irrelevant, keep working with them at exactly the same level, no more no less, just do not give them any other aid. We need to provide a more attractive offer to independents and even 504 members, long term if we get all of their potential recruits then we win.

[x] Ask Armin if there is anything further his investigation can discover that would help make the situation more clear one way or another.
[x] Meet with Gravekeeper. He may or may not have useful information on the whole thing.
[x] Start gathering information to compile a list of people who would have the skill to set this small plot up, assuming Gravekeeper hasn't provided any particular information on the affair that makes such activity irrelevant. This list should include people both in and outside of the 504.
[x] Try to find someone who either worked for, or worked with, the Dragonflies who can give as an accurate understanding of whether or not they would be likely to break a flag of truce themselves like this. Whether or not they actually did may be secondary to whether or not they would be casually willing to.

This is a hell of a situation. We can basically either try to gather more info, or just act on what we already have; I, obviously, favor the former.

The 504 will have to be dealt with at some point anyway. The red and black flag means they're most likely Anarchists. Not the best thing to deal with in a post apocalyptic situation.

I'm with LordsFire here. Try to see if we can find more information - particularly evidence of any sort.

I don't think he's Chaos affiliated.

Tooo..... subtle. Khornate isn't known for that, and add in the fact he seems to be just protecting his people, I don't think he's Chaos. Nuts, Hell yes, but not Chaos.
There is Chaos Undivided.

He could have Khorne's skull fetish, follow Tzeentch's in scheeming, love his children which fly the Jolly Roger flag like Nurgle does and Slaanesh is ...

... fuck Slaanesh. Hir has no use here, only just been born so has other things on the agenda more pressing.
