A Penguin Flailing Against The Keyboard Of Life.
Oh, you guys. You get a penalty to dice rolls for making called shots like that (Semi-serious here). I advocated just attacking the head in general because
A.) The head is large enough that the first attack is quite likely to hit, and
B.) There is literally nowhere on the actual head that a freezing bolt of ice won't be effective*.
C.) And since the wolf is, presumably, looking away-ish from us because it hasn't seen us yet, it's eyes are near the edge of the "Target area", greatly enhancing the chance of missing the wolf all together if we botch this roll, as opposed to the center of the head from our Point of view.
*Side of the head? Massive headache, and half of it's head is frozen. Eye? Ridiculous pain, half of it's vision is gone, and, once again, part of it's head is frozen. At the base of an ear would hit it for massive damage because it's near the brain. And that's all assuming that there is no penetrative power to our spell because 'Fenris magic/anti-magic/magic resistance' stuff.
