A Naruto Mook Quest [The Gamer/Naruto]

[X]Distribute now (determine how to distribute)
-[X] +1 VIT, +2 DEX, +2 STR

[X] First off, Observe "Shadow". Use it to gain whatever info possible. Next, throw some kunai or rocks at him and then engage him in taijutsu. Try to get rid of his kunai or take it for yourself. Beat the crap out of him once you do. Use Kawarimi whenever you can't just dodge and try throwing in some Bunshins every now and then to see if it distracts him. If you get injured and you are too close to dying, eat some of the Roach Meat, but use it sparingly.

Basic plan here. If someone can come up with something better or wants to expand on this, go right ahead.

[X] Upgrade DEX

[X] Avoid Direct confrontation, attack from range or use sneak attacks to whittle it down. Upon reaching 33% HP, attempt direct confrontation.

[X] +2 DEX, +3 INT

[x]keep stat points for later.

[x]disarm if possible, take enemy weapon and inventory it before fights over. (Is that kunai made from shadow? Really?)
-[x]keep an eye on enemy HP with observe
-[x]keep one's distance and predominantly throw rocks or makeshift weapons from afar to wear it down. Close when it is low on HP.
-[x] keep your HP up when necessary with more roach meet
-[x]use kawarimi and bunshin when applicable.

so we are fighting ourself, okay. That I didn't see coming. So I think we can expect it to have all of the abilities we have.

[x]keep stat points for later.
I want to dump into chakra, but that's the one stat that can be quantified and monitored by the local paranoid dictatorship.

Yeah let's save those up and slowly use them to complement training after the year is over, Academy students are never in enough danger to justify the impatience.

[x] 5 luck

Luck build for once.

Never spend consumables in games! What if we really need them later? :V

More seriously, the impact training provides our base stats sharply drops off after a point, yet a level up point increases it by one regardless. Right now, a level up point saves us...what, a few days of work? Then we graduate and become a genin doing D-level missions and training, and our malus to physical/metal disappears. We want to save as many level up points for as long as possible, so when our training is only giving us a point or two per month, we can then use the points when they are much more valuable, saving us weeks and/or month of effort instead of days/weeks.

I hate the "hoard stat points forever and a day because it's more efficient to grind" thing that gamer quests do. It's so boring.

Also? We might want to make sure we survive this fight. Otherwise, we won't have to worry about the inefficiency of using stat points at all....

Switching.

[X]Distribute now (determine how to distribute)
-[X] 5 luck

[X]Use rocks and blunt kunai to attack him from range. Try retrieving blunt Kunai when possible.
-[X] If he closes distance use Kawarimi no Jutsu to get behind him, or flank him and stab him with knife.
-[X] Disengage leaving behind clone from Bunshin no Jutsu to buy time to get some space.
-[X] Repeat
-[X] Keep observing him when his CP decrease it means he used some kind of skill. (most likely clone, or switch) Be ready for back attack.
-[X] If you run out of CP try to hide to regain some of it if your opponent still have high hp.

Rocks most likely won't do much damage, so try retrieving blunt Kunai when disengaging. Blunt Kunai should still benefit from both knife mastery and ranged weapon mastery. Probably have better damage stats than improvised projectiles. Loosing good knife would be very bad, so better to keep that as melee weapon.

[x]keep stat points for later.

first, observe opponent since a mob npc won't have the gamer abilities. Likewise, he won't regenerate chakra like we do, so quick hit and run attacks benefit us more than him. If he is literally a shadow, and that isn't just a cosmetic effect (observe should let us know) then he might have special attacks like shadow teleporting or those tentacles from earlier. Maybe flashbangs or fire might be effective if he's a literal shadow.

We should also observe the seal on the ground. Make sure that it isn't still active and capable of summoning more things during the fight, or that we can't win easily by breaking the seal.

[X] Observe opponent.
-[X] Observe the summoning seal.
-[X] Stay at a distance and be evasive, use kawarimi. Use ranged attacks and if necessary improvised projectiles.
-[X] If he manages to close with us, or when his hp drops low enough that we're certain of victory in a close up fight, try to disarm him.

I see the The Gamer's Luck Curse has reached here, pity.

Not much we can actually do right now.

"Shadow of Yesterday" huh? I like it.

This is an ok plan... Unless this is like the cecil fight in FFIV. In which case, we'd be screwed.

Just so everyone knows, this is the average Class A graduate:
Lv. 8
Str 11
Dex 11
Vit 11
Int 10
Wis 10
Chakra 11

This is us right now:

STRENGTH 6
DEXTERITY 8
VITALITY 5
INTELLIGENCE 12
WISDOM 10
LUCK 6
CHAKRA 12
So y'all may want to rethink your Luck thing. Specially as they are all far more skilled at everything.

We have multiple months to raise those numbers; And considering the next highest vote is not using the points at all I'll spend my luck. Having slightly above average luck would be nice!
