... I really can't see Taylor as a Shirou expy, no matter how hard I try xD

But...to me they are more like a Asagami Fujino + Ore Scales* combo

*The Edelfelt family have a Sorcery Trait called Ore Scales that allow them to pass the family legacy (the crest) to two heirs. In the IIIrd Holy Grial War two Edelfelt sisters joined the war and summoned a pair of Sabers, or better said, two aspects of the same Saber. Aya and Saya remember me of that.

Oh hey update!

On one hand, social links go! go! go!. On the other hand, the seeds of dependent personality disorder is shown.

Friendship turned to 11 is scary. And you don't need powers to recreate what Taylor does, just knowledge, skill, and charisma.

The fact that your comment has a high chance of being canon makes it even more frightening.
So.....are you implying Danny is gonna die? Cause I'm surprisingly...supportive of that, and this isn't a fic where I would be supportive of that.
Its not Shirou swag dammit. It's the Tohno/Ryuugi swag.
You mean the Kokutou swag, remember, Mikiya was the one that had FUCKING 6 girls going after him.....and a psychopathic crossdresser guy. Dammit, now I wished Ayame got a Master/Stranger power ala Fujou Kirie from the first KNK movie rather than the canon one :/.

You're right. She has yet to jump over the BAR. Though she DOES have the Harem Protag denseness.

Since the locker because QA took one look at the Mystic Eyes of Death and decided that Taylor didn't need anymore combat abilities.
If this is true, this is the one with the best interpretation of the QA powers I've seen. People sometimes (almost always) forget that the function of QA is control of living beings, and the powers that their hosts gain are based on the control of living beings.

I hinted that it is highly likely that Aya and Taylor will be in the same family in the future. If I remember correctly, the sisters' parents probably died.

first off, yes I didn't want to sift through two more pages of discussion when I post this, but this reminds of how Shiki Tohno attracted people with a different sense of the world than most of humanity. Yes it's a master power, but still, this shows how the sure fridge horror of the nasuverse can trump even the rather cynical world of Earth Bet.

"Yeah. It just sucked. Having to see them again." The larger girl let out a sigh. "Emma's face when she saw me was priceless, though." Sayaka could hear the slight smirk in Taylor's voice. "She totally didn't expect me to change as much as I have."

Is just me or this sound like Emma getting slapped by QA's Halping-ness straight in the face?

Wait, six? Shiki, Azaka, Fujino, Shizune and Fujou. Who am I missing?

Also, I'm fairly certain that Tohno would still have more girls after him. He has 6 girls just in Tsukihime, and I'm pretty sure he gets more in spin-off works.

Its not Shirou swag dammit. It's the Tohno/Ryuugi swag.

On that note, it who else wants to see Ryuugi actually turn on her swag in canon for lulz?
Who's Ryuugi?

tbh Taylor's power reads less like subconsciously activated mind/emotion control to me and more like simply instinctively knowing the right thing to say to just about anyone just about anytime.

Don't see why anyone finds that so terrible, it's pretty much just her accidentally cheating her way to the level of a non-powered person with unusually good social skills and charisma who was born good looking, not something sinister or robbing anyone of agency. Thinker, not Master, to be more concise. Unconscious Thinker too, which makes it even less bad.

Like someone earlier said, the only genuinely bad thing about it is that if she ever finds out she'll probably be horrified and angst about it because socially inept teenage girl.

Also, @ensou, you've already done a 0.1 before, so maybe the numbering should be different?

Not quite, but close. This is Indivisible 3.0.1, and the previous chapter was Rend 3.1.

Edit: I apologize, left browser with update up for three hours, saw your post and replied, then noticed the four pages of other stuff, so if somebody got to your note already then I apologize.

Also, @ensou , does QA do the combat thinker thing or is it just social here?
There's combat applications. She's got her people-sense which augments her ridiculous proprioception and predictive abilities at close range (see Oni Lee), and she can subtly manipulate the emotions of her opponents (like making Bakuda so afraid she eventually froze up).

Mostly, though, this QA power is about human structural organization and coordination via low-level emotional comprehension, manipulation, and conditioning ...QA's helping Taylor make friends!

It's less a front-line power and much more a power designed to get people to fight for you, working to build the best groups possible, which would thus also encounter a lot of conflict. Where Teacher gives out powers and builds teams, Taylor collects them and organizes people in an optimal way. It's more potent with parahumans and potential parahumans, which is part of why Saya's getting hit so hard by it.

My post alllll the way on page 2 of this thread also had some details of this.

Hey ensou, I know you said that Orphan will be its own story so when are you giving it its own thread? The link in your sig just takes me to the discussion thread.

Also, I love the premise of Orphan. If it's not to much to ask, when does Moriah show up in relation to cannon?

Once it's got three chapters I'll make a thread for it. Chapter One still feels a bit raw to me, so I'll likely work on smoothing it out as well.

Moriah shows up in 1981, the same time that Fortuna set out in canon to kill Eden and then begin plotting against Zion and forming Cauldron.

So yeah. Canon characters are going to take awhile to see, if at all. It's an AU. I can already say that Jack Slash and the S9 aren't going to be a thing (Zion didn't give up Broadcast), and neither is the Triumvirate (since those powers came from fragments of Eden, which are now parts of Moriah).

It's gonna be different.

  • Ryougi Shiki - Kara no Kyoukai
    • Shiki (- rite, function, method, etc) - female, the prota
    • Shiki (- weave, fabric) - male, the late second perso
    • Shiki「 」- genderless, the Void, the Root, Kokutou's Secret Waifu
  • Tohno Shiki - Tsukihime
    • Shiki (- intention, plan, resolve and - precious, value, prize) - the prota
    • SHIKI ( - four and - seasons) - the hidden bro of the doom. In farside is more interesting.

Say, how does QA here stack against broadcast? Who can subvert the other team members better?
QA is Best Shard.

...No, but really. There's a reason that it was the last shard to be released by Zion, and one of the largest and most crippled ones. It's because it's so important. Hell, it was what Zion used to organize his shards, and once he tossed it away he couldn't reconfigure any of them.

QA excels at what it's doing here, and I'd argue it's even closer to the true purpose of the shard than Taylor's canon power was. Broadcast simply communicates and projects. QA organizes, she administrates. There's no comparison.

Granted, Jack Slash got an offensive power from Broadcast --his knives--, and had Taylor not gotten her Eyes they'd be in totally different categories. But yeah, Taylor's definitely the stronger one in terms of mind-fuckery and recruiting ability.
