Okay, so I was just reading the WoGs for Taylor's QA powers because of the recent thread discussion about it and forgot how fridge horror inducing it is.

Taylor has an aspect that lets her know the positions of people in an area around her. She has an upgrade to her social-fu skill tree, giving her high charisma, and intimate knowledge of any person's mentality and emotions, giving Taylor a mix of Gallant and Lisa's powers. Then, her power also actively works to increase Taylor's standing with other people, manipulating their brain and emotions (and even previous Master effects, if there are any) subtly so Taylor always makes a good impression (or, at least, not a bad one) when she interacts with somebody. It's probably just speeding up the relationship Taylor has between herself and others, but, to me, that's only if both parties work to befriend each other. However, if one is naturally suspicious or stubborn about not interacting with Taylor, but Taylor herself wants to interact and befriend them, then her power will halp to make that an inevitable result.

It's a power that basically helps out Taylor in giving her friends, but in a way that she'd totally break, or at least BSOD, if she ever found out the truth.

I'm sure it cannot compare to the Hearts of Ice delay.
Hard to beat 11 years, especially since Worm isn't that old, but that's why he said
But hey! At least it's not going to be a record in this fandom for longest time between chapter posts!

BTW, for those of you who don't know what Hearts of Ice by Krista Perry is, look here:
Ranma 1/2: Hearts of Ice
It went from something like 1998 to 2009 without updating. Then it was finished.

Given the knife Taylor uses in this story I thought I would share these. Glad to hear that work is continuing on the story. I look forward to the next update.

This gives me hope for so many fics. Thank you for sharing.
I've been reading fanfics on the internet since the mid-90's. I used to download them at school or the library to floppies to read later at home on my own computer as I wouldn't get dial-up until late 1997 and broadband wasn't until 2002.
In that time, the second longest I can recall between updates was about five years for Sailor Moon Z to finally be finished, and the third longest I've seen has been about four years, although I've seen several stories take four years for the author to get back to them.
So as a rule, I'd say if it's more than four years, give up hope as in almost 25 years of fanfic reading I've seen a story be updated after more than four years exactly twice, and more than five years exactly once.
Generally I say 2-3 years before it's abandoned.

Same author, I had to wait 8 years for Children of An Elder God to end (though apparently that was partly because of the fact it was a collaboration with someone else who stopped writing).

...Are y'all really gonna continue to debate the length of time a story takes to revive? Really?

...I'm sure there's another topic y'all can talk about that's not this, yeah?

She does?

And on a related note, how does one stab people's sicknesses to death? Because that's a canon power. She could be the Panacea of stabbing people :V

But really, can she stab people healthy? Or is it just appendixes?

Think we've established that as long as she can properly conceptualise something, she can stab it. So if she can properly comprehend the concept of being infected with a specific instance of a disease, then she can stab people healthy.

Shiki viewed the sickness as a living thing. That's what allowed her to "cure" her target.

Not to mention, 「Shiki Ryougi」 capable of healing any injury as she even offered to restore Mikiya's lost eye.

I'm sorry, how do I google 「」?

For some reason, the 「」 part is very, very important, and considering Shiki's many, many issues I think knowing the difference might be a tad important.

Doesn't that ability work along the lines of "cut away/remove the event that caused the injury in the first place", a la Orihime Inoue?
Not quite, she's at a similar tier when going all out but Orihime was more reject the existence of something then kill the existence of something.

Staff Notice: This is not a versus debate between Shiki and Orihime. Please don't make this thread like that, yeah?

Nothing against Orihime as a character, but are we sure she's in the same tier as Shiki?

I mean, I suppose a weak Bleach character is stronger then 99% of all other anime characters, but Orihime is practically a pacifist; I'm not sure I've ever seen her fight. Meanwhile Shiki's offense is absolute, limited only by her own superhuman physical ability to move. Like, I'm pretty sure Shiki could one-shot Ywatch if she could keep up with him.

Unless I see Orihime start flash stepping, I'm pretty sure she would die in that encounter.
